I'm sorry if this issue is a dead horse on this thread, and I think ebay listings are forbidden so I won't post them, but there seems to be multiple sellers at the 145 dollar level which explicitly claim to be authorized sellers and to carry the warranty. I think one is even the Vapeworld outlet.

Have we established that these Ebay sellers are actually authorized? Should I contact Rockwise as to whether it's kosher or not?

If I can get a Extreme Q at that price I'd swoop one up in a second, as I'm very curious how it compares to my other vapes.

It is covered by the warranty. The only thing that is different is that you have to send it directly to Arizer yourself if there is a problem. The authorized dealers that have a storefront fix them for customers now. So you would end up having to pay for shipping/return shipping to Arizer, which isn't all that expensive. I bought one off ebay and had to send it in for a fix after quite a while. They fixed up it up just fine! They have great customer service.

This was confirmed by the people at Arizer and is discussed at length in the new Arizer Solo thread.

I follow the Solo thread and I don't recall this, not can I find it. Could you point to the exact posts?

My impression was that Arizer will still service units purchased from unauthorized dealers, but the warranty will not be honoured. You'll have to pay.

Im with you on this one Pak, as I posted above,
me said:
According to Arizer, from when i contacted them before my purchase, I was told something along then lines of; "any retailer advertising the original warranty, at below MAP (manufacturers adjusted price), is not an authorized retailer, and your unit will not retain the warrantee as such." my words, their policy

And, from what I gather in the this thread, the solo thread, and many people who have contacted arizer (myself included), that Arizer will service units, but you will have to pay for the repairs, etc.

Edit, just saw your post, liquid.

I just sent Arizer another email;
Hello, I am contacting you to find out about warranty information on the Extreme Q, and the Solo. If an EQ or Solo was purchased below MAP, is it still eligible for warranty? If not, will you still service said units? What would the price be?
I will post the reply from the email when I get it. Hopefully we can figure out whats what lol.

Purpl3_Haz3,
I contacted vapeworld about this and got this response:

"Thank you for your e-mail, there have been a lot of different prices being thrown around out there but to keep the warranty on the product I have to sell it for $200 ... "

I also noticed today that the Warehousegoods Extreme Q posted for like 142 suddenly shot up to 155 today. Weak. It seems Warehousegoods (Vapeworld) had it up at a price to match the lowest buyitnow offer available, and now after being talked to have raised it.

You may have me sold now, I've been tossing around the DBV and EQ but these ebay prices may have sealed the deal.

Thats what I figured! the EQ for <$200. Sold... I'm still looking at the SSV though, looked at the DBV, but decided I liked the SSV more.
i was debating the SSV and EQ and went with the EQ. my buddy bought the SSV so i smoke both frequently. the EQ is better than the SSV in every single way. the ability for both bag and whip, the digital screen makes for much easier and accurate adjustments, loading from the top so you dont have to hold the whip to it or even take it off between hits for that matter, multiple features including 3 fan speeds and an off timer.....i could go on and on. use both and the decision wont be hard. i would love to own both, but if i had to choose one the EQ is a no brainer

Congrats on the purchase! I know youll enjoy the Q for a good while. I love mine!

Those were the selling points for me over the SSV. But I will still say, I see appeal in other aspects of the ssv. there isnt an easy way to keep your herb from vaping in the Q between hits, short of removing the elbow(if your herb is elbow packed). but that would cool the glass. With the ssv, you could pack a bowl, take a hit off of it whenever all day long, without losing vapor idly, as the wand doesnt stay attached.

also, with the wand being hand held and attaching as it does, I believe you could get larger clouds, easier than with the Q.

Just my :2c:

I still wouldnt opt out of my Q for the SSV, but I'd gladly own both

you dont have to remove it. that was one of my favorite aspects of the EQ. i will smoke an elbow pack over the course of an hr.

It's well known that if you want big and thick clouds you go for the SSV, but personally I love my EQ and wouldn't trade it for any other vape. The herb does not vaporize when it's just sitting in the bowl or the elbow. There is no airflow going over the heating element then over the herbs. I sometimes leave my EQ on almost all day, it's by far the best vape I've used.

Is it possible to use oils in the extreme? are there special screens for sale in order to do so?

Thanks

I jumped ship and ordered one. It was the EQ or the SSV. In the end, after a lot of research, I decided the EQ is better suited for my needs.

Should arrive Saturday!

Yeah I'm looking forward to my EQ... I should Get it on Monday. I wish my postie worked a Saturday :/... I like the EQ, the SSV and the cloud.. I would love to try them all. But living down here in Australia makes things hard. I rarely know anyone with a vape, my best mate has one, some $80 piece he picked up at in the city at a head shop. Works well enough, but nothing compared to the vapes that you guys have. Which makes having the EQ a real big step up for me.

Hope you enjoy your piece as much as I will!

Peace n' pot

From what I've read, the SSV beats the EQ in the whip department. That's cool, because I'd probably be using the whipe 90% of the time, but I do plan on taking it to parties and filling bags. And the price point on the EQ is lower than the SSV right now.

I love my EQ. I have not touched a bag on it for 1.5 years. Pure whip. It's awesome. I can't see how it could get much better.

I had an SSV for about 6 months AND an EQ since they came out and I sold my SSV a while back. I liked the EQ much better overall. The SSV CAN get hotter than the EQ to deliver like near smoke....i combusted a couple of times but that was more because the herb fell into the heater...stunk horrible lol I've been in the vapour game for about 5 years now and nowhere near an expert, but i've gone through many a vaporizers and the Arizer products are my favourite.

Yea, I barely ever use the bags anymore, pretty much all whip for me. I have never tried the SSV but I did have a DBV for a short bit, and I think the EQ won hands down. For me, the non-hands free part of the SSV was a complete deal breaker. I also never turn my EQ over 230*c and thats only when I'm trying to get to sleep, usually I keep it at 200* so I don't see a need to get the SSV which can get hotter than the extreme.

Hey I am new, just registered, and posting my first post to get a few questions answered.

I bought a EQ little less than a year ago, It is a awesome purchase, and I am so glad and better off for being clean from smoking, which until you quite or just start up, you really don't notice how nasty smoking is.

Anyway Through out my use, I've kept it clean, but there was a time where I tried some resin in there and I noticed on what I believe is the heater it self, the thing under the screen in the hole on top, any way below the screen on the heater is a fairly small bit of black gunk, it doesn't seem like to much, but its still there and bothers me a-bit. Anyway I can clean this or remove it ? I don't really want to try taking the thing a part. Maybe a q tip w/ alcohol as last resort, though I would have to smoke it it seems because its not on the screen but thing below the screen. I guess I could also forget Ignore it, but I am sure there's a way to clean it, any one know ? PLEASE HELP

Also I went through amazon, and the retailer ended up being "JustVaporize.com", Does anyone one know if their legit, I emailed Azier and they said "they didn't see them on the list" and I contacted who I bought it from and they assured my they where ?!? So i dunno for sure - If it does happen to break, It would be worth getting it fixed even for $$, hopefully not to much though - .

Also, besides not putting resin in the EQ the way I did before (studpid), is there any thing else I should be aware of that I shouldn't do or can do to make this vape I have last "foreverish" ?

I don't use the fan too much - I figure that would be the easiest part to ware out -

I am thinking of getting MFLB - it would come in handy for festivals and concerts and other places, but don't know if its really worth it, Aziers SOLO looks really nice but isn't as portable as I would like it, but makes up for it I guess in overall goodness. though it is Expensive-

For what Its worth, I ll add my experience, you may not take to it, Its a good Idea for a quick fix. -

I've made bongs out of POM. tea bottles for my EQ, no additional accessories needed from out side sources. What I would do is I get clear tubing that would fit snugly around the mouth piece of the whip to use as a down stem, then w/ a pair of pliers I hold a socket like for a wrench that is a little less in diameter of down stem tubing, heat it up and burn a perfect hole in the hard tough plastic of the pom bottle. It may take some work, but eventually you get the down stem through the hole and down to the bottom of the bottle - Once in place it should pinch evenly around the tubing so it looks slightly bottled necked, forming a air tight seal. Then simply fill with water and place end of whip into the down stem, if it doesn't fit tightly, you could wrap some electrical or even medical tape around near the end of the whip so it fits snugly - and pulls out for carb.

Haven't made one for awhile, but it really does work well, at is pretty clean overall, safe from my perspective, and milks heavy just like any good EQ/Bong setup. the pom bottle is a sturdy bottle, I get the straight bottle that is the POM TEA, as oppose to the bubbled POM concentrate stuff or whatever. The Tea itself is pretty good if you get the right one.

Hey Vessel, I love POM too. Great when I'm craving strong flavors.

In regards to the MFLB, I think it'd compliment your EQ very well. It's pocketable and very "stealth." You can find them for around $100 on Amazon, but I'm sure you know that.

Hey Tim, Thanks -

I was thinking of going through Blissssssvile for the newer version, for what its worth.

I'd be interested to see what kind of hits I can get out of the mflb, and hooking it up to a bong I feel would be a good way to see what this vape can do.

Edit : (again)

I wonder whats the difference performance wise between a glass piece like what you posted tim and the regular piece that comes with the EQ is? besides that the original has a elbow and this one you posted is straight, I don't see much of a difference, but what do i know - I do wonder though....

Hey Vessel,

The two links I posted are actually glass adapters to use with a water piece, not an elbow or bowl.

At least, that's what I think. This is my first desktop vape, so I'm still catching up!

And I'm glad you're going for the new one. The seller on Amazon claimed that mine would be one of the
"new ones with the new black tin box" so I assumed I would be getting the newest MFLB. Unfortunately, I got the older model without the ball catch, but I don't mind the rubber bands so much!

Edit:
The MFLB is all about control. If you "sip" it just right, you can get pretty thick hits. However, I'm sure something AC powered like the EQ would blow it out of the water with thicker and more consistent hits (even my NO2 gives more consistent hits, but that's to be expected of a user-selectable temperate model). Of course, I do not currently own the PA for the MFLB, and I hear that changes things.

I have the MFLB for almost purely on-the-go purposes, so it's more than worth the money for me, but I really want a "relax at home" unit that could double as a party-bag-filler. So I'm quite excited for my EQ to arrive today. I honestly don't think you'd be disappointed with the MFLB. Very few are!

If your waterpiece is 18.8 you can just use one of the elbows included with the EQ. You put one on the cyclone, and one on your bong. If it's 14.4 then you do need some sort of adapter, though those look pretty small and not very good (the ones you linked).

Thanks Theo, I'm just going to experiment with the stuff that it came with. I have a really cheapy bong I bought at a smoke shop, but I definitely want to upgrade.

So the EQ arrived today, and the potpourri dish is was SHATTERED! I tried to contact VapeMaster through Amazon, but the live-chat agent told me it would have to be shipped back to Amazon and I'd get a replacement..
Obviously this was unacceptable, as I am not going to repack and ship back the ENTIRE unit for ONE piece of glass that I'll use only occasionally. So they gave me a 15% partial refund that I'm more than happy with.

So I'm going to finish reading the manual and start this baby up, I'll let you know how it compares..

EDIT:
Will post more thorough review later.. but first impressions.. are that it works.. lol

That sucks tim, at least it was only the potpourri dish, I love the EQ to this day, I remember when I first got to trying it out, it was so exciting being my first vape and my first time vaping - I was seriously surprised on how well it work, and how awesome of an effect it gives

I want to love my EQ, and I do for the most part, but the screen system is brain dead. The screen over the heater does not seat correctly and herb drops into the heater every time I use it. Super annoying.

I had this once. All I did was try another screen (came with the EQ) and the other one worked fine. That's all it takes.

try putting your thumb in the middle of screen and kind of bend around the curve of your thumb, it should with some adjustment fit properly. Also in cases where the screen is a bit off, which I think most of them are, you can shave a little bit off by cutting around the screen slightly. Eventually it will stick into place with use, but bending it and shaping it helps in the mean time, if that doesn't work for you, put the screen dome side up, it fits perfectly.

I bought my EQ from vapemaster, through his ecrater sales site (as opposed to amazon) and my unit arrived with a shattered potpourri dish as well. No big deal to me as i wasnt planning on using it lol. When i told vapemaster about it, they sent me a couple packages of cyclone screens and elbow screens (they offered a partial refund, or the potpourri dish, or screens, in lieu of the broken piece) I figured that the screens would be the best option...came out to be a little more worth it than the refund.

Yeah, i was gonna do the whole review thing when i got mine, but once i figured out it worked (as you did), writing a review was the last thing on my mind. Lol
