I need to give another thanks to @DDave real quick. I realize how often I use his reducer, and it's become much more to me than just a tool to vape or a fun toy to play with. It has become a total life style change when it comes to vaping.

I am going through so little herb, can really hone in on the flavors, and can have precise dosing. My mind thanks you for keeping it sharp and preventing mild over dosing.

It not only works as it should, but it teaches modesty and consistency. It helps me place limits on myself as far as how much I vape, and let's me stick to those limits with extreme contentness.

The coolness on my throat now cannot be underestimated. No back of the throat hit that makes your eyes tear. If you shed a tear, it's either because of the overwhelming amount of THC in your lungs or your overwhelming happiness using the kit.

Again and again, thanks a ton man for working with all of us, and regardless of the vape, giving the customer what they want.

Of course, none of this would be possible without RBT so a massive thanks to him too. Portable log is starting to become an understatement.
Damn you @AJS for making me spend more money, not only am I looking to order some wood stems but you've now convinced me to try the @DDave kit too.

Just purchased a Milaana and am excited to use it. I haven't got a chance to use it yet tho because when I got it home and took a closer look, I noticed that my Milaana does not have the recessed glass joint on top like the "newer" units seem to have. Is it the case that all newer units have the recessed glass? Are there any other signs to tell which version or production date this is from? I dont really want to keep my unit if it is the older version seeing as how I just bought it today (no pre-order) or anything.

Mine isn't 100% recessed, it juts out a little from the wood, and is the most updated version. The originals jutted out a lot. The copper door couldn't even close to clear it. Who did you buy it from? Maybe just ask them.

I have a picture of my 3 units a few pages back ... Maybe like back 2 weeks. You can compare using those if you want.

Look at the intake. Is it a screen or is it steel mesh crammed in there?

Thanks for your reply here and in PM. I bought my unit from PlanetVape so I am not concerned with the seller "ripping me off" or anything like that. I have used PlanetVape in the past and had nothing but good experiences, I just like to double check things. I have emailed PlanetVape directly just a few minutes ago as you suggested, but more opinions from here never hurt!

After reading your posts and PM I am confident this is the newest version (it does have the screen) and the button height is most similar to the newest version youve posted.

My main concern actually came from the difference in the unit I received and the pictured unit on PlanetVape's site. The female joint on the PlanetVape site appears to be fully recessed which had me questioning things.

Thanks again for all the help.

Well worth it. I find myself using the Ddave cooling wand over my bubbler when I'm home due to the taste and lack of draw restriction. The wood stems are more flavorful (both due to length and material) but I can stand to pull way bigger rips from the cooling wand.

Edit: however I'm definitely still dealing with some chest congestion/irritation so that may have something to do with why I can hit the cooling wand longer - there's next to no feedback. Barely even gets to feeling warm.

Does anyone know of any "retail" sites that may have any Milaanas left with the lifetime warranty? I'm trying to source one for my uncle. He's a much older gentleman and this will probably be the only vape that he will ever own. That's why I'm looking for one with the lifetime warranty and waiting for one to pop up in the classifieds is killing us. Thanks.

I've answered this question in private many times, it's about the copper battery lid getting hot.

BAD BATTERY CONNECTION

The general consensus is a bad battery connection. The copper spring at the bottom of the battery housing (is a spring clip), sometimes gets bent down, causing a poor connection, which can lead to some heat build up (resistance),

The fix is to find a way to bend the clip up slightly (1/16"). You can use some kind of hook tool, paper clip, or even wire that wraps around. Place tool under clip, but closer to "attached end", as it's only attached on one side. Use steady even pressure to bring it up a hair.

Also realize that at the end of a long hot session, the body of the Mi can get quite hot, which will conduct to the copper (like a heat sync). Could be a little of both.

Hope that helps...

Took milaana on a flight and even got a couple of low temp hits off while I was in the air...that was some exhilarating shit.

That is...until you get a tap on your shoulder. :tinfoil:

This vape fucking rocks though!

Happy thanksgiving everone!!!

Interesting that you took the Mi for travel. I was thinking about that yesterday and concluded it would be too much of a pain in the ass to take out and about, with the constant loading and stirring. Any workarounds for this? Like, are any of you preloading stems and somehow storing them for later use?

Not sure how to get around the stirring - I have to stir pretty much after each single rip.

The way I would preload a stem would be to cork it after packing.

You could also get some bullets from 420edc and preload those.

Stirring is a bitch but I like to keep a small container I can blow the herbs into, then re-crumble the herbs and suck them back up.

It was our first trip together too...most of the time I think the 18650 stock will raise red flags and I just use my SBJ...this holiday though I brought both.

Update on Milaana problem.. So after a couple weeks of waiting and no responses - I finally got sent my new battery for my milaana. I thought this was the problem but nothing heats up when I put the battery in?

The battery chargers fully but when inserted into the milaana nothing heats up . It's totally dead unless I'm doing something wrong..

I'm trying to get a refund or replacement but these guys are hard to get in touch with. Anyone have this experience with their milaana?

This happens to me sometimes too. All I do is tighten the nut on the copper lid just a touch and it'll work. Have you tried this?

I tried that but will try again. Is there a way to open the bottom of the milaana? I feel like it's something below that's not starting up/heating up. Is there anything else electronically inside of the milaana ? Under the glass male part?

As far as I know there aren't any electronics at all. If you get no luck you could maybe try a circuit test between the bottom battery connection and the screw post (if you have the equipment to do so).

Don't open it up if you want to keep your warranty.

Theres nothing down there but wires. A wire from the battery contact to the button, from the battery post to the heater and from the heater to the button. Super simple. Perhaps a connection is off but it'd be beter to send to RBT than to mess with it yourself.

Not sure how to get around the stirring - I have to stir pretty much after each single rip.

I never stir. Just pull the stem out and rotate it 90˚-180˚ after every hit. If you aren't concerned about glass on glass friction, you don't even have to do that, but it will wear down the joints over time and creates fine glass you probably don't want to be inhaling either.

You could also get some bullets from 420edc and preload those.
We are out of short & medium screened stems right now, but more are in the works. Thanks for the mention. I don't stir when using the Tophats but you need a strong enough draw to pull them off the stainless steel screen to lock in place and deploy them properly as a subchamber.

Soo.. I tried putting hemp fiber filter in the short glass stem that I'm using to filter out particles. Someone mentioned it a few pages back, sorry I don't remember the name now. Today after having it in the stem for a week, I used it to clean the rest of the stem, then I put it aside and washed the stem and basket in ISO.

I wondered if it was going to be potent:nope: and put it in the basket after shaping it like a disk with all the goodies facing upwards. BAM! Fuck yeah it was potent!! Hoho, man that was a lot of fun!!

No stiring and one nuclear hit after the other :D this with some kief added will probably be my Saturday routine from now on ;)

From recreational to medicinal, I use cannabis to treat symptoms of lymes disease. Joint pain, fatigue and what not, but the most intense being the nerve pains. They mostly last a few seconds, but here the other day I got shooting nerve pain in the stomach that lasted for what seemed forever. The first thing that came to mind was "where's Milaana??" I luckily had her close by and managed to load her take a huge hit within 30 seconds. The pain actually disappeared within a few seconds. This was the first time that cannabis has helped with such acute pains. And I quickly realized that I have never been able to get the medicine delivered so fast before, and it all comes down to the Milaana  A huuuge thanks from the bottom of my heart RBT, and thanks to everyone who is supporting RBT :)

It's illegal in my country and before I started vaping I basically had to go for a walk up into the forest or take a bike ride or something. It's sad. With the Milaana I can even use her indoors if I just breath into a carbon filter :D

This here's the tallest mountain in all the land, re-named to the original for now, known around these parts as the great one, in all of it yesterday afternoon glory; everything was perfect except I forgot my stash.

I had to wait a whole five minutes more to partake   !

Funny you should say that. When i saw Natasha the homeopathnon tuesday, and she Vega tested, ot wasnt actually to my surpise thatbshe couldnt detect any Borrelia bacteria anywhere. It was down to a very small bit in my nervous system last time in August.

She said there may be a tiny bit left hiding, Borrelia is good at that. But that will fesurface before long if so, will be dead easy to eleimnate fully then, and wont be causing any problems in the meantime while I work on the otherr infections.

So I have overcome the Borrelia bacteria with 4 courses of homeopathy since it was diagnosed June 2015.
However "Lyme Disease" is much more than a Borrelia bacterial infection. It is the complex and debilitating condition involving the nervous and immune systems, as a result of the Borellia bactria invading the body, always accompanied by numerous other infections.

So by my reckoning, I still have "Lyme Diesease, even thouh I probably dont have the Borrelia any more, because I will need now to clear all viral infections and take steps and time for the body to sort things out and start restoring order.

And as @duckTape reports, cannabis is a godsend for the symptoms of Lyme, not justbthe body, but also mind and depression. This is why it has killed me to bits to be allergic to weed these past 12 years, when it seems to be the only thing that enables me to feel alright mentally.

I would reccomend making cannabutter, or with coconut oil. And also vape when you can. A better way to get a full range of medicinal cannabinoids, and the cannabutter is magic for the stomach and digestive health.
I also have done a lot of other stuff to help. I tried a treatment for Lyme this year called the "salt/C protocol."

Check it out, you want good himalayan salt and vitamin C and take them both together in the right quantities. I was taking 16 grams daily of the salt, and the same of ascorbic acid.

That went for about 2 months. The salt kills all bacteria, and works powerfully against borrelia, and the vitamin c repairs the damage and supercharges the immune system.

Dont be afarid of the healthy salt. But strictly avoid the refined poison salt, use only pink himalayan or unrefined grey sea salt otherwise, in daily life I mean, but certainly for this treatment.

Every day now, I weigh out 8 grams of pink himalayan salt, and that gets sprinkled on my food each day, purely as a bodily reqiirement.

We have been told so much bullshit. Salt is good, just not the table salt most people eat. And we need a fair bit of the good stuff, most people dont get enough salt and this allows pathogens, especially Lyme, to proliferate.
Our ancestors ate many times the salt we eat today with food preservation, and this jep parasites and bacteria in check.
And I take vitamin c/ ascorbic acid every day, at least 10 grams, just for managing my allergies. So I am actually still doing the "salt/C protocol", except it is just a way of life perfect for my requirerents. At any dose tbis therapy is working (like 1 or 2 grams of each a day) but higher doses will have more effect, with intense die off though, so pace oneself.

Anyway @duckTape , perhaps look into it. And stay strong a believe!
