whats this digi whip yall are talking about
The new V-Tower. It's the Extreme minus the bag setup. The Extreme evolved from the original, analog V-Tower you know.

I just bought bought my extreme vape about a week ago from arizer...I opened it up and discovered that my remote was missing a row of temperature buttons...the highest one is 230C on mine...when I tried the unit out it only got up to 250C!...my owner's manual said that my vape should go up to 350C and showed pics of a remote with a 310C button on it...I emailed arizer about it today and asked for either an exchange or my money back...has this, or something similar happened to anyone else?...and do you think that Arizer will correct the problem?!?

my first vap experience was with the BC vaporizer.......which (unlike most people) i didnt find it to be all that bad. it was better than smoking. anyways, i decided to get a 'better' vaporizer, so i started looking around to see what options i had. i had heard alot about the volcano but i thought it was too expensive and finally i narrowed it down to either herbalaire or the v-tower. then i came across this forum and i decided to go with the v-tower. and i am very happy with the decision i made. it did take me a while to figure out the optimal temperature. i started out at 325 C but then slowly made my way down to like 250 C and it seems to me that i get just as high of both settings. i usually fill the bowl up half way and i rarely use the bags.....i prefer the whip (vapor on demand). i was reading some posts and i totally agree with 'slickstones' about the fact that you can vape indoors without having to worry about smell or stuff getting burnt. my sessions usually last around an hour or so... and i usually end my session when i stop seeing vapor.......but whats this 250 max limit i am reading about....my v-tower has a limit of i think 345 or sumthing.....i wonder why the creators would put a 250 limit on??? i mean, even though i don't go above 250 .....i still like the fact that i have the option to go above that....anyways....i would just like to thank the people that started this forum for helping me make the right choice.

I don't know about your remote, but your unit is fine. You probably got instructions for the first model but received a second model. You can email Arizer if you want, but I know they were taking this weekend holiday off...don't know what the holiday is or when it is over. You will find all the information you need on your second generation unit on this forum. Back this thread up one page and look for my post with all the italics.

That would be Canada Day long weekend, over tomorrow.

I want one of those! Is Canada Day similar to our Independence Day?

So I guess Arizer will be back in the office on Wednesday?

I emailed arizer and they basically said the same thing that stickstones said...

The only change we made is to the readout of the LCD. All vaporizers reach exactly the same actual temperature inside the bowl.

We moved where the temperature sensor is located in the heater, that is all. The reason for this is some Customers felt the LCD should read in the 200's not the 300's when vaping, so we made the change so the LCD would show a lower temperature more in relation to the actual vape temperature of herbs.

There is absolutely no difference in either unit except the 'number' displayed on the LCD, they reach the same actual temp's inside the bowl. The new manuals reflect that.

The point is regardless of what 'number' is shown on the LCD, once you experiement for a moment to find your favorite setting you're then up and running just fine.

I brought it out last night for a party...amazing

No offence crackajack but I think newbies dont realise there is a learning curve to most vaps. Perhaps this is where the Volcano wins. Doesn't seem to be much confusion, turn it on, hit a setting and fill up a bag. Seems to me that the extreme does have a few teething probs ... and Arizer are very responsive to thier customers. Perhaps too much ... I wouldn't have changed the position of the sensor. IMO this has created confusion more than anything else. 'Is mine a second gen one? ' etc. If its got a difital display you gotta turn the fucken thing up ... let it burn your weed and then work your way backwards. Everyone seems to scared to burn their product. A little combustion isn't going to hurt if in turn you find your optimum vap temp. It can take a alittle time. But once thats sussed the digi vaps come into there own.

There should be no learning curve to speak of when it comes to bag units, at least as far as temp is concerned. My herbalAire has temp settings on the dial, and unlike the Volcano, you don't even have to reference the manual to see what a number on the dial corresponds to. I set the dial in a range of 350-370 and I've never had a problem. Since you're not changing the airflow as with a whip unit, it's just set and fill. Most of the confusion with the Extreme has been due to Steve's choice to display the heater temp instead of the bowl temp. Reliability wise, it was a good choice, but people who knew true vaping temps were confused and those who didn't were misinformed as to the true temps. Not providing an explanation of the temp setup with the instructions was a mistake IMO. Then further confusion ensued when he moved the sensor with the 2nd generation or version 2, whatever you want to call it. He didn't give the user any way to tell the difference between the original version and the new one except to experiment and find the temp range. So the learning curve for the Extreme was real, but only due to a lack of information provided by the builder. And apparently a longer than advertised warm up time further adds to the confusion. The guy I sold my V-Tower to told me he discovered that a warm up time of 15 minutes gave better performance. All in all, Steve has had to spend a lot of time responding to emails due to his choice of design and the lack of info provided with the unit.

Yes, a lot of confusion... Arizer is lucky you guys have been so helpful.

They should pay one of you to write a proper manual. Even then, from reading some posts here, there seems to be some variance even between units of the same revision. Maybe they are a tiny percentage of the total, I don't know.

Anyway, seems like people are still pretty happy once they figure their unit out.

Hey I've just tried to order some accessories for my extreme .I'm going surfing for a few days so I was going to use it traveling rather than the herborizer , but I can't seem to get parts for it delivered to Australia , not from anywhere , not from arizer or any of their suppliers it seems .:brow: Anybody know what goes on here ? I have emailed Steve at arizer but their website has a drop down for the country now & all you get is USA & Canada . So I don't hold out much hope . Anybody from this part of the world (Australia) should maybe delay buying one & email arizer first to clarify situation for themselves.

I will let you know what eventuates with me. Going on the customer service I received beforehand from Steve hopefully he will be able to sort something out . :/

You're right. I see only the US and Canada. I wonder what's up? If your product works in other countries and you've sold it outside N. America, why would you eliminate international sales? Maybe this is just a temporary glitch?

I'd be more than happy to get them shipped to me in the states and then assist with getting them in an unmarked box and getting them heading towards you :brow:

Thanks for the heads up, ozwiz.

Pity. I just ordered one from the US a few days ago...

I noticed that the guy who I bought mine off from eBay had some accessories when I placed my bid but, a day or so after, didn't have anything in stock. His webshop doesn't have anything either.

I'll contact him and see if he has any nfo.
