...blow the elbow into the cyclone bowl after it's done...

I'm betting that if you take your unit apart and look inside, your blowing back into the bowl days will be over ;)

Why? I just blow very quickly to just clear the elbow into the cyclone bowl. I don't get why blowing into it like this would be a problem.

Open it up and look. If it is not coated with particles I will be amazed. I will also want to know how you managed it.

pakalolo is right, if you blow into the whip, particulates will fall through the screen and end up inside your vape. Does this really mean anything? No...not really. It won't hurt the unit but I'd imagine it can not be good for it. It is very easy to open up the EQ (only 8 screws in total) and unless your mechanically challenged, it is VERY easy to open up the Q from the bottom and blow some air in their with a compressor or just using your mouth.

I have noticed that if weed particulates fall into the vape, whenever you turn said vape on, it makes the room smell like a dispensary.

whatsup, i'm new to the forum, and soon to be the proud owner of a new Extreme Q vape.

i was doing some shopping and found one on ebay for $165 w/ free shipping, so i jumped on it. now, i've seen the threads and posts here about myrubberneck and unfortunately that's exactly who i placed my order with. at this point i'm just going to hope for the best. i read through all of his feedback and it is mostly positive.

when i emailed him to request a tracking number (which he was very quick to reply with), i was informed of a new site run by the same people (http://www.hippiehippievape.com/). now i am unaware if the people at arizer are considering them a valid reseller, but they're claiming they are. the prices on the site are much higher than their ebay store, and much closer to the actual retail price (259.99 US for the extreme q w/ remote).

maybe they are trying to legitimize, i have no idea, just figured i'd share the info with yall.

anyway, i've got much experience w/ many vapes in the past and after having a neighbor that owned the original extreme vape, i was sold. i've actually convinced a bunch of friends and associates to purchase an eqv before i have even had the chance and they all seem to love it as well.

also very excited to be able to rip the eqv with my 18" Zob 8 arm perc straight tube :brow:

i've read through a chunk of this thread and have picked up some great tips/tricks and can't wait to get hands on. just have to wait for the damn ups man to get here w/ my new toy.

I guess that could be happening. Lately my vape has been smelling more than usual but I thought it was just because of the bud that I have right now being so great.

yeah man I got mine through myrubberneck and so far so good. It works wonderfully, came in 2 days during holidays and was an amazing price, well worth it without warranty.

On a Permanent Vakation
Hello All, I am new to the community, and have been lurking since 12/26/10.

I just received my EQ 4.0 today, and have been vaping for the past 8 hours or so. I have vaped in the past on a Volcano Classic, and I have to say I love the EQ more than I did the VC!

I hadn't ever used a whip system, and I am in love with it, and the fan/bag setup is so much quieter! I think that this is one of the most ingenious setups having the remote, etc...

So I hope to be a part of this community for a long time to come!

I am a medical patient in the state of Maine, and I'm currently vaping some Sour Diesel...

HAPPY NEW YEAR FC!

shitty pic. also, the 18/18 downstem i got is like 5 mm too long and hits the bottom back corner of the inside of the tube. still close enough to lock it on with a k clip but i'm gonna go get a shorter one in a couple days.

other than that, this thing is perfect. super glad to own one now. thanks for all the info in this thread too, definitely learned a lot.

yeah i gave an elbow load w/ some kief a shot after the pic was taken and it was very nice. thanks for the link, i'll probably just head back to my local shop and grab a new diffuser. i wanted to get one that was worked glass anyway, to give the mostly transparent zob a little more flare.

also, i found that a good way to cap off the mouth piece of the bag is to put a rubber pencil eraser over it. perfect fit.

Well after much reading, hair-pulling, and general indecisiveness about what my next vape should be (I considered PD, SSV, and Glass VG as well), I saw the EQV new for $165 yesterday and pulled the trigger. Unbelievably excited for it to get here.

Set to 165C. Wait 3 min. Pack the elbow. Enjoy.

You will LOVE it. :2c:

smokinweedgi,
Hello everyone,

I've decided to connect a water filter to my V-Tower Vaporizer. (instead of buying the Aromed)
I'm aware that this is an Extreme-thread, but i've also read that the joint sizes of the two models are the same, so in that case you can help me right?:)

I have been searching the forum for quite a while and decided to buy the ''Double Bubbler Bong 2.0 with Shower-Head Diffuser''
http://www.grasscity.com/double-bubbler-bong-2-0-with-shower-head-diffuser.html

I've seen the movie on the site, in which he specifies the dimensions. EDIT He says the diffuser has a 18.8 mm to 14.5 mm inside cut.
So what size of water adapter should i buy, a 14.5 or a 18.8?
Are there any other people who use this particular Bong/bubbler?

That bub has an 18.8mm glass on glass (GonG) joint so you can use any adapter that has a 18.8mm ground fitting. The elbows that come with the extreme have 18.8mm fittings so they work perfectly.

Looks pretty nice but you probably won't find many people with Weed Star glass here. If it sold out before you bought it, you might want to check out some custom artists on http://www.etsy.com/.

Check out this thread for inspiration on what type of glass and how much diffusion you might like the best:

Ok you changed the question.

The description of that bubbler says "The chillum is 29.2 to 18.8 adapter where you also get a HQ 18.8 bowl."

That means the opening of the joint is 29.2 without the showerhead downstem inserted. The inside opening of the downstem is 18.8. Once you insert the downstem your joint is now 18.8. If you insert another reducer into the downstem you can get 18.8 down to 14.4mm. Hope this helps.

I agree with Shiz. You can do better on Etsy. Grass city ships from Europe, takes weeks, and features cheaper Chinese glass.

Allright, so i'll just buy an elbow adapter, remove the reducer and i''m done?

I'm from the Netherlands, so shipping from Germany shouldn't take to long.
However the part about the cheap Chinese Glass, should I be worried for outgassing, or does it break easy?

Pyrex, Schott, Boro are what to look for in glass. Ehle and Roor are GC's better brands. I believe WD is chinese. Lots of folks buy it as first bubbler. Not bad but you can do better.... read through this thread and you'll get some ideas. http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=1566

I know there are better pieces of glass out there, but the price is also important.
But you didn't say anyting about outgassing of the cheap glass, does this occur?

EDIT I've browsed Etsy, for some fancy cheap bubblers, however I noticed that the cheap bubblers, have strange applied in and outlets, maybe for usage with bongs or something. (lay-back position)

These two i like:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/6408966..._type=all&ga_page=1&order=price_desc&includes

http://www.etsy.com/listing/64136187/miniature-inline-bubbler?ref=pr_shop

Any suggestions for adapters to use with these?

EDIT2
I've found this adapter for the second one, it's a 14 mm water adapter, from the SSV-site.
http://silversurfervap.com/accessories/surfer-accessories/ground-glass-water-pipe-adapter.html
EDIT3 (should search longer before I post :uhoh:)
I have found out that the tubing size of the SSV is 3/8'' ID, and the Extreme-Q/V-Tower 5/16'' ID.
So the extreme is slightly smaller, which should not matter i think.
