quick question regarding the Arizer mouthpieces... will 7th Floor tubing work with the Arizer mouthpieces?

That's the size of the tubing I use. I just double checked for you and the stock mouthpiece fits very snugly and requires a good amount of force to remove it.

Hey everyone,

about time that I join this ;p I will have my extreme q this friday, can't wait.

I bought like 6 years ago(maybe more) one of the first vaporiser made in canada (well the first I heard of), it was the bc vaporizer (http://bcvaporizer.com/menu/menu.html) I loved that thing until someone told me that I shoudl stop using that because of the oxidizing of the heating element produce fumes and is not healthy at all (english is not my primary language by the way). I also was wondering about the plastic all arround that vap, I'm sure it's not heathly either.

so I stopped using it until some friend of mine bought his volcano like 2 years, damn I loved that thing, but it was too expensive for me at that time.

last month I decide to buy a volcano at the store, but as soon as I saw it in the store I though well maybe I should look on ebay first maybe there is something cheaper with the same usage (I wanted a way to have a vapor bag) and then I saw the extreme q vap. That's when I fall in love, the price was reasonable, it was a Canadian made, I was able not only using a bag, but using the whip also, like my old bc vaporizer, and every reviews that I've read (I read over more than 100 different review, plus 76 of the 76 page of this forums and every video on youtube related to it) told me that it was one of the best vap. I'm pretty sure I did the right choice to buy this.

Now stay tune because I will upload some video of it as soon as I got it.

Edit: I was talking with my wife and she told me that I got my bc vap arround 2001, so it's like 9 years ago, not 6, I feel old now)

Need some quick help from my Q brotherhood...

I think my Q might be running "cool". I just need someone to turn there Q to 220 and 240 and let me know how hot their elbow gets on the vape. Right now...at 220 the very top of the elbow is just warm...I can hold my finger on it indefinitely.

So if someone is willing to 'pet' their vape for me and let me know how hot the elbow is, I'd appreciate it.

If I just leave the vape on at 220 usually the elbow doesn't get too hot, it just gets warm as you described. If I'm doing a sesh and I just finished vaping at 220 the top of the elbow will be very hot but not hot enough so I can't keep my finger on it.

Mine's been on 225 all day and I just put my finger on the elbow. It's warm but not too hot to touch. I think you're safe

Re the temperature of the elbow: I assume people understand that the temperature immediately after hitting the whip or blowing a bag will be significantly different than after it's been unused for a while.

Yes, that is important to remember. In my case, i was just asking about resting temperature. IE if the unit is turned on to 220 and left on for 10,15, 30 minutes what temp is the elbow. I am assured now thanks to your guys' help. It just seems like I have been needing higher temps lately to satisfy myself. Maybe my herbs getting better or something...iunno.

i purchased this vaporizer off ebay for 180 us dollars. I am very happy with my purchase. this is the third member of my vaporizer family i have a portable vape (the iolite), a whip vape (vapor warez hands free) and now this. I love the bag feature of this vape, it is great for multiple people relaxing. This is not the most efficient vape i have used. I really enjoy the look of this and for the cheap price they send a ton of extra's it is a very high quality product. Love the digital temp setting and most of all the remote i am warming up to this vape as a whip vape and love to vapor bong with this vape. over all i would this this an 8.5 out of 10 some of my smoker friends who have been smoking for over 20 years are starting to warm up to the bag and they have never liked any of the other vapes i have owned.

I've read elsewhere in this thread that the Q was very quiet and that was a big advantage. Yours is not?

thanks pakalolo! regardless, since it wasn't in this thread then now is a good time to bring it up, since essentially the Extreme is a different (now obsolete) vaporizer.

My last Q did this a bit so i'm not overly concerned. But this one squeels like a pig! It's very intermittent, and if I apply pressure with the bowl, or push slightly to one side, the high pitch goes away. I'm just curious if this is something I could fix, or if I need to send it in for repair?

This Q is anything but Quiet!!! It's actually quite annoying, and for a brand new one out of the box, and have had this problem before, it's kind of disappointing.

Also when increasing the temperature, why does it dip momentarily by several degrees? My last Q did that too, but the Extreme didn't. Guess it has to do with those 3 temp sensors, although IMO increasing the temp should only make the temp go one way -- up, right away.

Sorry for the obvious answer, but how about calling Arizer directly? It should be covered under your warranty. I'd be wary about using third-party parts.

New Q Owner here so far very impressed...

brief history...

vaped out of friends vapor brothers once and decided I needed to get one.....

I bought a vapolution at local head shop for like $150 and that thing just never got me going. (I haven't tried it lately but it may have not been hot enough I'm thinking now).

Then a got a easy vape at a shop in venice and that one works pretty well except the temp control is totally useless. There is no such thing as anything like consistent temp. you can easily be too cool or burning the herbs.

Bought a magic flight launch box per the excitement of a lot of folks here from puffitup. no real luck with that one. I've read the wiki and tried tons of stuff I just dont get much vapor and dont get buzzed off it. finally decided to email puffitup the other day and see if they can help. no word yet, hopefully I can try swapping the unit out and seeing if my unit is bad. Everyone raves about the MFLB but mine just doesn't work....

so far my vaping purchases have not worked out well. The cheapo $50 ez-vape is the only one that worked but it was inconsistent because of poor temperature management.

not being discouraged I read some more and the bag concept seemed interesting too. Ordered Extreme Q 4.0 off ebay. Arrived brand new sealed in box with all the goody's advertised by arizer.

unboxed it. have to say the manual could use some work. Had to watch some video's on youtub to figure out the correct orientation of the cyclone bowl. (painted side up, correct?).

ground up some SourD and blew a balloon at speed 3 and 200C and that certainly did the trick. I was ripped. sometimes I questioned whether I could acheive the levels I want with vaping but no that question is clearly answered. Over the last few days I have also discovered you can really fine tune your effect very easily with the Q.

Have to say mine heats up fast and is certainly not loud on highest fan setting. I let the bowl heat soak as recommend here and have been primarily blowing balloons because of the novelty and I am super impressed. The temp on this thing is so rock solid. not too hot or cold like the cheap easy vape.

need to play with elbow packs.

been re-vaping left overs and those work well for effect but obviously the taste is not as pleasant. but not going to bother elbow packing left overs when I have mason jar full.

Questions?

Is there a good alternative source to bags and o-rings besides arizer? recommendations?

Cheers,

You can get plenty of replacement parts or accessories on ebay. Just search "Extreme Q" and sort by "price + shipping: lowest first".

Enjoy your new Q!

Off topic here, but your LB just might be defective. Try this test:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...w_can_I_tell_if_my_Box_is_running_too_cool.3F

If it doesn't pass, contact Magic-Flight and they will replace it. Any further discussion should move to the MFLB thread.

We now return to your regularly scheduled programming.
