The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Been covered a couple times in the last few pages. US Plastics and 7th Floor seem to be popular and worthy options.

I just checked my stock tubing, I only have a bit of white on one end saying "canada" so I don't know what my stock tubing was. But the tubing I bought(which is the same type as you) fits perfectly.

I just checked my stock tubing. It says "KURI TEC KLEARON K010 BY KURIYAMA 1/4" I.D X 3/8" O.D. 70 F NON TOXIC PVC NSF 51 CANADA and a bunch more numbers"

So after nearly a month of research and reading all 75 pages of this thread I've decided to join the ranks of respected vapers and get myself an Extreme Q.

Now I've decided to order this on here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1G82XTTW4GJQJ4AQCWFR

as well as the Instapark grinder offered on the same page.

Also plan to pick up 20' of tubing here:

http://silversurfervap.com/accessories/surfer-accessories/replacement-hose-3.html

I also want to go straight to bonging my vapor so I've narrowed it down to two pocket-friendly choices here:

http://www.grasscity.com/double-bubbler-bong-2-0-with-shower-head-diffuser.html

http://www.everyonedoesit.com/onlin..._Bong_Hexagon_Foot__500ml.cfm?iProductID=5911

Now I've no real prior experience with water bongs but from what I can understand on the first bong is that I should be able to attach the second elbow that comes with the EQ straight to the top of the chillum?

With the EHLE the same could be done straight to the joint?

I'm really leaning towards the first bong since it has a showerhead diffuser whereas the EHLE I'm pretty sure does not include the diffuser and even then I'd have to buy an H20 adapter because the diffuser would be 14.4 cm? resulting in the need to spend more money for additional equipment.

I'm looking to have a fully functional setup within a month and could really use some advise here on which of the two bongs would be optimal as well as how to make them fully functional with the EQ. Thanks.

Edit: Also, does anyone know if that model is covered under warranty by Arizer? That's a big factor in my decision to buy it. I'm not interested in buying some $150 EQ from Ebay that doesn't come with a warranty.

Welcome! Props for READING first. Great choice in vapes. I'd go with the Ehle but before you pull the trigger check this out...

Thanks Pappy but I'm trying to keep the bong + any necessary adaptors etc. down to 100 or less. I've given myself a $400 budget to get my initial setup started.

Next Christmas however, I'll probably splurge and give myself another $400 budget on some more, eh, refined glass

Nice, kinda like that one. A bit larger than I'd like but definitely one I'll do some research on.

Hey, I just received a new Q.
I'm very much noob.
I keep seeing references to packing elbows, but I can't seem to figure out the details.
I've read over 50 pages, which took me hours, but still can't find the info I need.
Is there some place else I should look? Maybe a thread with some pics?
I'm not a big user...just would like 1 or 2 tokes now and then. The cyclone bowl would hold a years worth for me!! I need to find a way to do very small amounts.
Please give me some direction :-)
Cheers, Greyscale

I just bought the extreme q 4 and I've used it and noticed the heating unit inside moves around(you know, the thing with the screen and covered in glass), is this a defect? Anyone have the same issue?

It should not move around.

So mine is broken then? I mean probably the glass piece around the heater was broken right? would it still work? I mean I tried it and it still gives heat and fan.

It will probably still work, however if the heating element is loose, I would get it replaced as that will only cause problems at some point in the future. I would contact Arizer. It should be covered by warranty.

I would bet that the heater cover has broken. It shouldn't move at all. Stop using the unit until you know for sure what the problem is. If it has shattered, you could wind up inhaling tiny glass fragments--not cool at all. Check beneath the unit for glass slivers. Turn it upside down over a piece of paper (but don't shake it) to see if any glass fragments fall out. Contact Arizer support at support@arizer.com for further instructions.

If you determine that it is the glass heater cover, it is not covered under warranty. If you live near a shop that sells Arizer products, there is a good chance they will have a heater cover in stock. They are not expensive (~$15) and you can replace it yourself.

Good luck and I hope your Q is back in action quickly.

Can anyone please direct me to what page the high pitch squeeling sound was discussed? I tried searching but it only brings up the thread. The squeeling is getting annoying...brand new Q too.

I don't remember reading about anything of the sort when I went through the whole thread before I bought the EQ.

There were references to this in the Extreme II thread. Depending on who was posting, it was attributed to either the power supply (makes sense to me) or the ceramic heater (makes no sense to me but what do I know).

vape4life, you're doing it wrong, as they say. When you search, change "Show results as" from Topics to Posts. I never liked that default because every newbie makes that mistake at least once.

thanks pakalolo! regardless, since it wasn't in this thread then now is a good time to bring it up, since essentially the Extreme is a different (now obsolete) vaporizer.

My last Q did this a bit so i'm not overly concerned. But this one squeels like a pig! It's very intermittent, and if I apply pressure with the bowl, or push slightly to one side, the high pitch goes away. I'm just curious if this is something I could fix, or if I need to send it in for repair?

This Q is anything but Quiet!!! It's actually quite annoying, and for a brand new one out of the box, and have had this problem before, it's kind of disappointing.

Also when increasing the temperature, why does it dip momentarily by several degrees? My last Q did that too, but the Extreme didn't. Guess it has to do with those 3 temp sensors, although IMO increasing the temp should only make the temp go one way -- up, right away.

I wouldn't try to "fix" a brand new out of the box unit. Might take a little extra effort but sounds like you should just contact Arizer and get this solved asap.

Hey now, watch it pal, I have an Extreme! :p

They still sell them too, at least in Canada. You can get a pretty good deal.

quick question regarding the Arizer mouthpieces... will 7th Floor tubing work with the Arizer mouthpieces?

im putting a kit together for someone and they hate the 7th Floor standard mouthpiece. said they want something smaller and i showed them the simple Arizer mouthpiece and they were all about it. i just wanna know if the 7th Floor tubing will work with these.

7th Floor tubing is 1/2" OD and 3/8" ID. will the 3/8" ID be small enough to grip the Arizer hose barbs?

thanks!
