Hey Everyone...
Do you think the Extreme breaks in?? takes a little while to really get to good. I sort of remember it working allot better now then when I first got it... AND... my buddy just got one and side by side... mine works better at the same temp swapping bowl back and forth...

just a thought???

Maybe the heater is farther away on one unit, sensor discrepancies... etc.

Have you tried turning your friend's up a few degrees?

If the issue is less vapor being produced with your friend's Extreme, I would try turning it up a bit. As mentioned before, there is some variation among different units so you can't really take any temperature # as gospel.

marcuss was able to modify the distance of his heater but that would be more of a last resort.

they are both the newer model... max out at 250*

how do I move the sensor or the heater?

you can't move the sensor but the heater itself just a bit closer to the bowl.
not an easy game but if you want a hotter temp is the only way to go
A proper warm up time usually avoid this issue.

BINGO!!!!

cracked her open... moved glass down, which makes the heater stick out of the top of the glass (a little) which moves the heat further up into the bowl.

WOW!! :o

a great lifestyle forum like this is top shit, and only new to a PC for tha past 6 months(smoker for the past 27 years every day)iv'e gotten pretty bored lookin for a forum like this one(cool people and good advice)so im stoked. I used a vapir for about a year, liked the vape but it broke and i went back to old bad habits lol,few months ago got a (won't name because he did the right thing with warranty)Cheap whip vape local OZ for $120 mailed out,It's ok but im waiting for my Extreme right now and keen as xmass, when i stumbled here(thanx google) i'd just purchased the thing, Now im pretty sure i did the right thing and feel fully informed about the product,Even thou money is always tight i don't mind spending top $ 4 something of an investment and savings into the future,Obviously im impressed with a product that is important to my lifestyle(PTSD/Arthritis affecting me) i'll be using my extreme 4 all sorts of herbs, in particular Kava Kava and valerian(any links for fresh vapeable supplies and info on details vaping would b appreciated)as i just ditched 2 yrs use of barbituetes supplied from my friendly "doctor". hope to get in on other threads cheers guys. Glad to have another vapor fan onboard Cannabudz. We're getting quite a 'down under' presence here.

Glad your Vapir broke down so you could move on to something better. I'm sure you'll like the Extreme. Good move on ditching the prescription drugs too. There are a few good ones, but for the most part they're more dangerous than most illegal drugs. We're no more than lab rats for the drug companies. :/

I really like the look of the Purple Days diffuser, for battery pack use it would be great for a bike ride in a backpack for improptue sessions on the go. i wonder if it could b warmed up ready to go in those circumstances, without overheating inside a closed bag of some sort, an answer from someone in the know would be gooood

Been Pedaling my bikes 4 ten yrs(f?%k the petrol $$&taxes i'd rather spend on better things)so convenience matters to me, so too does discretion, in a largly ignorant hostile nannystate culture.:disgust:

Unfortunately my Extreme has been slowly falling apart since I first got it over a month ago. Originally I had problems with the glass tube inside the machine (the one that surrounds the heating element) falling out quite easily, after a few weeks I learned how to twist the bowl so I could take it off without bringing the insides with it. Then while having a balloon session with some friends the mouthpiece snaps right in half for no reason. After rigging up a new balloon and finally getting everything working again, a big chunk breaks off the inside glass tube and now my machine is basically useless.

Just sent an email to Arizer with photos and details, I'm really hoping they come through with some replacement parts so that I can get back to vaping ASAP. I'd be bummed if it ended up where I either had to shell out cash to fix it or wait around for a long time... we'll see what happens though.

I've only heard good things about the customer service so far so I'm hoping it all works out. I'll keep you guys updated. Until next time, puff some vapor for me cause I can't :/

Although there is no battery pack available for the Purple-Days yet, I'm hoping that Tom decides to produce one. He has looked at the Vapolution pack, and one for the PD would be similar. In fact, the Vapo BP works just fine with the PD. The connector is slightly smaller on the Vapo, so the connection to the PD isn't quite as snug as it could be, but it doesn't fall out or lose electrical connectivity. So if you wanted to buy the Vapo BP, it would do just fine. The BP runs the Vapolution for 2 hrs., but I'm not sure if you'd get the same time running the PD. If you're a serious portable user, you may want to get two batteries. I usually heat mine up to operating temp with AC, if possible, then switch over to the battery when necessary. As for carrying the PD, ready to vape, in a backpack, no worries there mate. The unit, when not in use, is barely warm except for the metal heat exchanger in the center, and you can place your hand flat on the top of the unit without excessive heat bothering you. You just have to keep your fingers away from the recessed metal.

On the bowl sticking I found rocking it back and forth gently works better than the twist.
