Oh man excitement is off the charts! It has been years since there was a new nail coming my way that was comparable to the sapphire halo! Who doesn't love a new vape on the way?

I have to say I've enjoyed speaking with Josh, I never doubted it for a moment here when you guys spoke positively of his service but I have to say he's been very accommodating and approachable. I love to see the person who came up with a vape product enjoying talking shop about its design and function!

I'm excited for the release too, hopefully it's not delayed at the last minute. I think it's the most revolutionary product on the marketplace now in terms of design, function and features. I probably could have just pre-ordered it but I already have 8 various other things pre-ordered and paid for so I don't want to add any more to the list. I should have the budget a V3 30mm, SiC and Sapphire inserts and both carb caps assuming it's not much more than $500 or so. It's a bit pricey but it's something I'd use frequently during the day and it's not that much compared to my recent "buy all the things" spending run I did due to Head-Fi forums.

Mmm...I guess that's what Visa's for right? I really want that sapphire since it's my go to of the 3 Halo's overall but I want the SiC too for durability and as backup. As long as the final price isn't too crazy I'm down, there's nothing else for me to upgrade to anyway so this will be my last purchase until the next big dabbing product comes out, possibly the Liger V4 at this rate.

I was holding onto this list until today just because I didnt wanna release any info before the release date. Josh sent me this list after I asked for the price of a SiC insert on 10/14.

I went with the SiC and a master set on a 20mm nail. The sapphire will have to wait till I get another bonus from work lol.

EDIT: Keep in mind these are prices when i pre-ordered. IDK if there may be any difference in pricing now.

It is a good idea to do a little iso clean before first use on any nail. I don't think you will blow anything up! Just start about 675 degrees and play around up and down from there.

You're in for a treat. When I received my 2.0 I just disassembled it and through it all into a small bag with iso. I then air dried it under my heat gun and put it to work. Just remember to put the insert in before you heat it up.

Howdy, and welcome to FC. I just pointed Visa at a bright yellow High Five press myself, and got one of each coil sizes (seeing as I don't have an enail yet). Can you let me know how this works with your setup? I've been holding off until the press and parts arrive so I have an idea of what I'm getting into.

Just when I thought VAS was cured along come e-nails... ;)

Cant get the temp right started at 675 and went up to 750 and still not getting my CCG Fab Egg to milk up

Using nice size dabs too and the top of a silicon wax container for a carb cap bc the hurricane was not ready to ship yet

Any suggestions?

How tight/loose is the 20mm heating coil around your bucket?
If you have any space in between, you won't get proper (or efficient) heating.

You can tighten the coil, if needed, with a pair of pliers.
Obviously wait until it cools.

Oh, and pics or it didn't happen!

I'm running my V3 20mm w/ SiC insert @ 660*.

it seems to be pretty tight around the portion where the coil goes let me snap a pic and post it in a bit

Ok I am beyond frustrated

There was no manual or directions on how to install the coil or insure a tight fit

The threads on all pieces are not smooth either they need to line up just right to thread properly

Even the top portion doesnt seem to be completely threading and there seems to be a gap

Worst part about it is i am getting a burning smell coming from the middle of the bowl part and the tip of the coil portion seems to have singed black some how

Should there be a burning metal smell or some burning smell coming out of the Liger? I cleaned it and rinsed it well with ISO and hot water and let it air dry

That's what we are here for, don't get frustrated. We will walk you through it until it's working properly. I don't suppose you have a way to check the surface temp? It looks like you have tried your coil both directions, if not do that. Also maybe your coil is a little weaker or smaller than ours (less mass?) have you tried letting it get heat soaked with the insert installed for several minutes before you dab? Assuming you got it put together like the pictures in the front of the thread, does everything look correct and it's just not reaching dabbing temp?

Ok I just let it stay turned on until 710 temp was reading on the box

It has stayed on since I posted the pictures and post so roughly 15-20 minutes or more

I just took three larger dabs that would be hard for me to clear with my quartz nail but now barely produce any milk vapor is coming out and i am capping it with the silicon cap but its not producing enough 'milk' so to speak

the smell eminating from the inside of the liger is also worrying like burnt metal/rubber just doesnt smell normal i cant really taste it in my dabs but its there if i put my nose up to the liger bowl

when i go to qtip the liger afterwards i barely get any brown on the q tip which means most of it should have burnt off just not producing vapor?

i also cap it immediately after i dab so its not like the smoke is escaping before i can cap it

maybe the hurricane cap will solve this issue or maybe someone can skype with me to insure it is being installed properly from start to finish as I am sure that type of tutorial video could be pretty useful for others

maybe you could record walking me thru the process and post that video for new users because there is literally no info on this thing besides on FC forum and a few threads on reddit

First of all the Liger is pure Ti so any smell of rubber or anything would be something like finger oils or something else one the titanium. Titanium is pretty inert as are all of the materials chosen in today's nails.
How did that particular coil and enail controller perform with other nails? It sounds like your coil isn't reaching the desired temperature. The pictures all look good on your end. Here is mine. Try capping with an old Ti carb cap or even glass instead of silicone. I tried capping with a silicone cap and while I did get a dab it wasn't like a proper carb cap. That may be your issue. Also are you comparing this to hot torch nail dabs or other low temp dabs from your enail?

I dont have any other carb caps besides that silicone lid all my glass carb caps arent a flat surface they are made for specific quartz nails

I am comparing this to using a torch but i let the quartz banger (Hoyes) cool down for at least 25-30 seconds before i take a hit and it is MUCH more milky than using than enail + liger set up

Maybe my issues is not having the Hurricane carb cap hopefully mine will ship out soon
