Cloudy...
Now it flies. Good old SS mesh works like a charm - airflow is FREEEEE!
My wishlist just shrunk to IQ and some Vapcaps for sure.
I need more FF2 batteries now :)

Does it help with the stirring or still the same?

Stirring is less necessary now.

How was the disassembly and reassembly process?
Straightforward, just 6 screws. Much easier than I thought. Kudos to @Elac for encouraging me with teardown photos I linked above.

Hold on a sec; are you saying it's possible to remove the "permanent" metal screen? And replace it with a SS mesh screen? (I saw your pic of the unit open, I had no idea it could be modified...)
Yes, the screen is not embedded, welded or glued. It is just squeezed by other parts of heater-bowl "sandwich". On @Elac pics you may see this "sandwich" laid out.

This is very interesting! No doubt it changes things, but I didn't see any old posts of yours mentioning what your experience was like prior to the mod. Can you talk more about the differences? Any difference in taste or cloud production? Or does it just effect the airflow?

Convection devices can be finicky when we play with the air flow rate, and more air flow usually means thinner vapor within the same unit. I'd love to hear more...

This mod affected airflow only. Yes, convection are tricky and (surprise!) this time more airflow leads to bigger clouds, not thinner vapor. Same effect I get with VG Bat. I found FF heater to be very powerful, I could not over-draw it.

I believe original mesh restricts air flow intentionally, works as speed stabilizer. It forces you to pull with the optimal speed and you can not vary this speed a lot. Well, it is smart engineering but their choice of optimal speed range is far from my preferences.

OK, who's next to try this? I'd love to hear more on this, seems like it could be a good idea......

And my experience with FF2 prior to the mod was painful, I was close to suck my dent fillings out. It was also fearful - once I went to the mirror to check whether my eyes are still in place not sunk.

I may give it a whirl too.......
I'm in too. Have to at least try it! My experience has been that after the stir, there seems to be better airflow than when you first load it. So I'm hoping this might help

PS My friend compared drawing on the FF to playing the oboe.

Hi...

Anyone has idea where can i find the external charger? Out of stock in any store, got in touch with Firefly and that was the answer.

"Thank you for contacting us regarding the external charger. They are not available at the moment. We should have them in stock within the next few months."

I can't believe a company doesn't carry this important "accessory" and say few months to have it...

Thanks to all the suggestions here, I got a FF2 and Vaporbros ceramic pad, and it's actually working really well.

First time using it, and I'm surprised at how easy it is to use, as well as the quality of the vapor.

I just updated the firmware and will be trying it out, but was curious, what do you guys recommend for settings? I just bumped it up from the stock medium-high to high, and left power tuning at 100%.

For loosely packed flower grounded by a Santa Cruz Shredder, with a ceramic screen on top, what setting should I try?
