Welcome to the forum Lemmiwinks. Maybe turn it upside down with no glass attachments connected and use a small brush to sweep it off. Or, if you are handy, you can take it apart and remove the heater screen to clean it. I have had mine apart to replace the heater glass and it was a simple process.

Just remember which screws go where as the screws are different sizes.
I ended up screwing the long ones back into the base (under the rubber feet). LOL!!!
They protruded up thru the base so I took it apart again putting the screws in the right place and had to use chrome tacks to cover the holes. It worked out perfectly.

Thx for the fast reply and tip.
There seems to be a white surface behind the grill catching all dust etc.
So think it will be safe for a while ,just need to clean it after alot of uses.

That white surface is the top of the ceramic heating element. It's probably best to keep it debris free, as well as you can, for the best function and longevity of the heating element. :2c:

I linked to that whip a few pages back...I was going to buy it to try it but then I stumbled upon EQ and my bong and that eliminated the search for a better method. However, I did use an old whip I had from a generic box (vapor brothers style) vape and whip. Sure enough, I put the Q on its side (so the herbs don't fall out as easy) and the hits were a little more visible and I could take the bowl a little deeper.

Think I might give it try. Looks like it might work well with EQV.

Overall I think it is going to improve it. I think its worth getting...and if I didn't own a bong, I would get one of those whips.

Well Ive had my Extreme-q for a few days now so I feel I can comment on it.

I LOVE IT!

Its one of the best things Ive ever bought. I love the versatility - I had friends over last night and we were starting with bags and when we started to drop we began doing elbow hits and then by then end it was just me with a whip sticking out of my mouth watching the football!

While I dont have that much experience with vaporizing in general, I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who would consider buying it. It is fantastic. And the fan is REALLY quiet. I thought it would be one of those Simpson moments ("ITS WHISPER QUIET!") but I am able to blow bags up at full speed with people sleeping right next to the unit. Fantastic.

I got the Extreme Q V4 and want to know the exact temp off the placement problem causes. I heard 100C so 212F over 365F I must put it. The machine only goes to 500F though. I just cant get this or find an answer in these forums thanks :)

i strongly recommend using the Q with a bong. you can connect the whip directly to a 14.5mm joint and go nuts - i've had friends who previously resisted vaping but after experiencing the whip-bong, they found that it closely emulates smoke due to the thick dense hits the bong can generate and some of them have converted over to this setup.

This is the wrong place for this post even if the info is not in the Extreme Q thread already, assuming you acctually did look for the answer, you would still post it in the Extreme Q thread. Oh, and if the question makes sense when we read it, you would be more likely to get an answer. Again, i understand if english is a secound language for you.

What's your favorite temperature/strain/method to hit the Q at for the following effects:

1. Active

2. Giggly

3. Reflective and spiritual

4. Relaxed and immobile

Just wondering how people use the temperature differently or if they don't pay too much attention to it

I am one of the few rare ones on here where I have had my Extreme Q for 4 months now, and I have only used the whip system 1 time. I have used the bag (actually still on the original 1st bag that was already set up) every time i get high (usually 3-4 times a week). Phenomenal. That said, I have 2 questions related to the Q:

1) can you get an ac adapter/cigarette lighter adapter to where you can plug your Extreme Q into your car (say for things like hanging out at a concert in the lot all day or camping and thus you could be close to your car).

2) Can you use hash with the Extreme Q? I ask b/c i just got a gram of some great stuff, but how/what would be the best way to go about vaporizing this hash? Put it in the cylcone bowl on top of the herb, or what exactly? Finely get the hash as ground up as possible or just break off a piece and put in?

I think he wants to know thee difference in temperature between the heating element (digital readout) and actual temp in the bowl.

I don't know what it is but I don't worry about it either I keep my v3 from 185C to 210C

Just start low (I start at 100C), take 4 or so hits, increase the temperature a bit and take more hits. Repeat until you find your sweet spot.

Hey everyone,

Well you can add another proud owner of the Extreme Q to the list, as I picked one up slightly used about 3 weeks ago and to me it's like being introduced to a brand new high and the mind frame it puts you in can make you feel so centered.

But anyway I want to send a big thanks for all the great advice & discussions on this forum. I think my sweet spot is 210-215.

I have a question concerning the elbow pack. I pack my finely chopped herbs about half way in the elbow and after warming the unit for 10min at250c , I drop the temp to 205 and only got one decent hit and after that I get no vapor. What am I doing wrong. This happens alot especially with bags. They don't seem 2cloudy and I can see through the bag. It's like a faint vapor.

Any help would be appreciated.

anyways ya I'm having issues with this elbow pack everyones talking about....am I doing it wrong or does putting the elbow pack into the cyclone bowl make the bud waaay up far away from the heating element? I got one good hit as well this way and that was it.

LOOOOVED packing the cyclone bowl up and hitting the whip -----
