Arizer had a wholesale auction on eBay. Unfortunately, the auction is over. If you dig back a few pages in this thread you'll find the link. Good luck!

Look back in this thread, there was a picture of a guy and how he hooked one up.

@floridaboy, this forum is only big enough for 1 towlie
Your a towel
LOL.. no you're a towel
HAHAHA well you're both just basically towels. As long as you are both helping people out with towel safety and proper towel use, it's important! I love towlie heh.

Well I have had my Extreme Q for about a month. I am absolutely blown away by it. However, I must be in the minority, b/c I prefer the BAG over the whip, and I smoke by myself over 90% of the time (my wife is 7 months pregnant, so no smoking for her right now, haha). I just love the bag. Anyway, I put about .3 grams or so in the cyclone bowl, and start out with my 1st bag being at 195 degrees. That bag is always so flavorful and just the best vape in the world. While filling the bag, I usually always start with fan speed 1, go with that for about 20 seconds, then switch to fan speed 2 for about 20 seconds, then switch to fan speed 3 until the bag is full. I then bump the temperature to 215 degrees for the 2nd bag (I always get 2 full bags from about a 1/3 of a gram). I do the same changing of fan speeds on the 2nd bag as well. Honestly, I am usually high from the first bag, but that 2nd bag really puts me into the fun zone. However, the 2nd bag, not suprisingly, never tastes as good as that first bag.

That said, I will never combust again. I do have a couple questions: How long do you use a bag for before using a new one? And secondly, where is the best place to buy the exact bags that arizer gives you when you buy the extreme q? I see you can get 4 new bags for $14.99 from Arizer, but was wondering about alternatives. I know some people talk about turkey bags or whatever, but are those the exact same size as the arizer bags, or close to it, and will they be able to have the mouth piece added and all that jazz? And what about other cool accessories not sold by arizer that I am just not thinking about which would be cool to have?

Regardless, its just too much fun vaporizing. I cannot believe people spend $600 on a Volcano with this thing now being just a THIRD the cost at $200. I absolutely love it.

freshjiv I too started with only the bag, i think because it was fool proof basically and i didnt mess it up that much. once the elbow pack was revealed i found that i could get bigger, tastier hits and use less herb with this method. now i generally use this, and sometimes blow a few bags to "force me" to inhale a lot of vapour in a short period, really trips my wig even after a long day of elbow packs.

you will know when its time to change the bag, it will be slightly yellowish, but more importantly you will notice that it will kinda stick together and not blow up properly. yes you can buy turkey bags and they are basically the same thing, the ones i seen were more square than the arizer bags, and are more krinkly like the bags that come with the unit (i find replacement arizer bags are silky smooth and quiet). You can buy them at the grocery store. Arizers bags can be ordered directly from arizer, ebay, or sometimes at a local head shop depending where u live. generally $17-19 or so at a store compared to 15ish online.

If you want cool custom glass for your extreme check out the clear_dome glass thread. There are also a few cool pieces available around the net and for sale on this site by other members.

Yeah, but when it comes to bag vapin stuff there aint nothin. Most people use whips. Turkey bags is the way to go. Cheap and gets the job done I suppose. I'd just diassemble the Arizer bag and replicate the design with the turkey bag. A bag is a bag. Now let the baggin begin.

Thanks for the info electrician. Yeah I actually did the whip the first time I ever tried the Extreme Q, and got real high, and then tried the bag the 2nd time I used it. I just fell in love with the bag after that. Do you find you cannot get as high from the whip as the bag? Or what exactly? And if using the 3 foot whip, do you usually just let it warm up for 10 min or so with the elbow packed and then just start drawing without the fan on, or do you ever use the fan for extra vape/assistance to be delivered at 1 time?

I prefer elbow packs with the bag.

I find that the whip works alright but it just doesn't seem to be as good.

Also word of warning to you guys: Don't tap on the elbow with your stirring tool. I was doing this to get the herb to come out and it just split right on the curve of the elbow. That's only after having it a short time too.

whats the best way to get the bag filled but also get the heat up to as close as what's on the digital read out with the fan?

when i breathe in fast (matching the faster fan/thinner vapor as it says in the booklet), it seems to actually heat up the elbow part and herb faster than a slow deeper breath. hmmm

I wouldnt say that i dont get as high. But if you vape like 4 or 5 sessions during the day, even switching strains doesnt get you retarded high i find. And if its the weekend and you are just maxing out getting high all day sometimes u just want to get wrecked and watch the hockey game or something. The bag just adds a variety to the mix. Same if u vape bags all day, might need the heavy hits of the whip to get you over that plateau. (sorry about the rant, but thats kinda what i meant b4).

No i dont let the whip sit for 10 mins, if u do u can see lots of vapour escaping. I just let the unit and empty bowl heat up for 5-10 mins, then you're good to go, use slow long draws and the weed will heat up in the first hit. The fan is all ppreference, i've used it almost exclusively for one month, and now havent been using it at all this month. But the fan is good on speed 1 or 2, especially for people who are new to hitting the whip. Its good to use the fans to judge how hard to hit.

not sure exactly what you're asking. I think you are too concerned about the numbers on the read out. They should only be used as a reference to remember what temps you actually like. For example i can tell you to fill the cyclone or do an elbow pack with the bag at 190-195C. This may not be the exact temp of the weed, but you can use the same numbers and get similar results as me. I know i can keep my vape at this and get the same results each time, whether or not its actually the exact temp experienced by the herbs. As for hitting the whip, whatever way you find you get the best results is the best way to do it, just keep tweeking your technique as you see fit. I do suggest to not hit it too hard though, in my expereince it seems to get quite thinner vapour.

no, ii did a poor job of asking what i meant. i mean that it seems like if you put the fan on 3 the top of the elbow actually gets hot, like there is some hot air moving in there. the same thing happens when you breathe in fast at first and then slow down.

however, the fan on 1 or breathing in slow then fast doesn't seem to get the elbow hot, which indicates to me that hot air at all isn't really getting through past the good stuff and into my mouth. so didn't know if people like start on fan 3 and then back down to 1, to match that, or what else seems to get the job done haha

I just tried something for the first time today that I will be doing many many MANY times again. I'm not sure why it works so good for me but it does. I got the elbow attachment for my bags out and packed some herbs in the elbow. I let all that heat up at 230 for about 7 minutes or so. Backed the temp off to 200 and then let that sit for about 5 minutes. Then...i ripped it straight from the short tube with the fan on 2. I got 3 MASSIVE clouds. I just blew the third one about 6 minutes ago and am very very very medicated. Now I can begin my homework!

Guys I need urgent help! I just turned my Q on and it's beeping over and over and says ERR 1.

What should I do?!

EDIT: SO I tried everything to get it to work last night and it remained broken.

This morning I tried it one last time and it appears to be working just fine... very odd.

EDIT 2: It seems to have started beeping again after 10 minutes or so. I think the internals are overheating because it shuts off the heating element.

I contacted them but no reply yet.

It's about a month old or so. Not used very much.

Yeah I'm in Canada too, glad to hear they are local.

They actually got back to me today and said it was most likely a power bar failure, sounded like he had dealt with it before.

After hearing him mention it I realized I had seen my power bar's light flicker and go dim, and sometimes the unit would not turn on at all.
He was going to send me a new power bar free of charge and said that in the meantime I could try a power cord from a PC to see if I get a better result.

Great service so far.

Wow! After reading the few problems people have had with this unit, I am so glad I chose to buy this one based purely on the level of customer service/support and how they have dealt with these issues. I personally haven't had a single issue with my unit. Only issue I've had is the same as one other...used the blunt end of the stir tool to tap out the bowl and the stir tool started flaking off. My fault.

Thanks for doing it right Arizer.

So Arizer got in touch with me and has overnighted me a new powerbar!

Great customer service. All they need was proof of purchase and the new unit was in the mail with same day shipping.
