The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Yeah your right the timer was nice for the warm-up reason. But I guess we cant have absolutely everything sometimes. I feel the Ex fan speed 3 was a wee-bit more powerful than the Q. BUT... I feel the Q makes up for the less "push" by extracting and distributing more vapor on its speed 3 than the Ex. The Ex would just blow air while the Q I can say I can expect the Q to blow vapor and then maybe air. I also feel my bud is getting used up enough with the Q. I haven't noticed any major lack of browning. The occasional green thats left on my bud is pretty much the same as the Ex. Sometimes it browns it sometimes it doesn't. Usually with the Ex if I went to brown it I wound up getting a few "popcorn-ish" tastes. Were also into the "healthiest as possible" side so we try to keep the temp as low as possible. That is an easier thing to do with the Q...

Well shit, i guess i shoulda waited a few more days before deciding what to order. Got an Ex en route but looks like I'll be ordering a Q tomorrow. (winnar -_-) So uhhh, anyone in the market for a NIB Ex? :D

Cant you send back the Ex since its not used let alone even open... But yeah great choice going with the Q over the Ex. I just sold my Ex to a buddy and I am enjoying my Q. Still even last night I packed one up and sat at 200c for 6+ hits. I really really think this is the way Arizer wanted to go. A machine that provided constant vapor. It feels like a hookah the way you get something to blow out every-time I pull on the hose.

How much did you pack for 6+ hits? I pack .1 into the elbow and can go for like 40 hits lol.

Blah I'm startign to really want the Q, but should stop complaining since I love my E. I guess I should have waited and paid the extra 50$ :p. man I had to buy it like 2 days before they announced the Q haha, w/e. Hopefully they will replace it with the Q when my heating element breaks, or when I have the 2 year warranty for breaking or something.

40 hits? My Ex only gave me two or three pulls at 190c and then maybe another 3 or so up in the 230's... I pack the elbow with an ring-finger fingernail sized amount (sorry i dont have a digi). The Q now gives me countless hits but I wouldnt say anything near 40+.

I have two strains of weed over here. My provider called the first one "M33." The second one he said, "We're not too sure what it is, try some and see what you think."

With the Q, a pinkie-finger elbow pack gives two or three decent hits at 200C with the M33. The same amount of the mystery stuff puts out heavy vapor wads every time I hit it. It's been three days now, with the same load, and the Q has been sitting at 200C for three hours and I still get hits off it. Under a 10X loupe, the two strains look identical to my untrained eye. The degree of dryness looks the same, the maturity looks the same, the trichomes on both are filled with blobs of water-clear, maybe slightly amber, resin.

So I dunno what the difference is between the two strains.

But I can say that the Q is doing a great job of controlling the temperature so that I can easily tell the differences in aroma and highs between these two different strains.

I have a bit of something I got last December. I'll try it next.

This is a pretty cool machine.

Yeah I still have to experiment with different strains. Right now I unforuntaley have middies that are dry and some really good headdies that are unfortunately dry too. That might explain why im getting hits up to 10 times and your getting much more. Either way there is no comparison between the Q and the E. I keep saying it but I am really amazed by the difference in the ability to take a vapor hit. This is how I imagined it is supposed to be like. Rocket, how does the weed taste after you hit it up a bunch and then let it sit for hours. did u find that it burnt it out on you or was it fairly preserved sitting in heat?

I pack like .1 and get a lot out of it. You know not every hit is vapor, or shall I see visible vapor. I usually get about 10 or so vapor hits for like .1. You can still go.

When the elbow pack is fresh, I taste plenty of nice floral and vegetative turps and other fragrances. After several hits the flavor tapers to pretty much nothing while vapor continues.

Last night's weed, which I've hit many times and was still getting vapor at 200C when I turned it off, is still in the elbow; so a bit later today I'll heat it up to 200C again and see what I taste.

I already tried it. I vaped from 190-210 and then had to goto the movies. The next day went from 210-260, yeah that was before I realized 230 is basically it. I packed it with kief though, but damn 2 amazing sessions :D.

They seem alright pretty trust worthy n all, but what i defenitly dont wana put aside from my vape purchase is the quality of the vapor hits with the whip., if it isnt equal whip vape as a da buddha, VaperBro or a ssv, ime probly better off wit a ssv,,.. sucks that there the same price exepts it has no bag or digital..

HBuddy72 -

I've had a DBV and now an Extreme Q, and i'd say that the vapor is very similar between the two(when using the whip, of course) with the nod going to the Q for style!

SSV has really big hits, the extreme gets them too, but the SSV is > the extreme in that sense, but the hits are nice on the extreme.

(Later that same day): still getting visible vapor inhaling and exhaling from the same little elbow pack I put in two days ago, still at 200C. Nothing much to taste any more, just that slight vague taste of THC vapor, and a nice clear high. When the weed is fresh, I can taste all it's lovely fragrance. As it vapes, the aromas diminish until I have plain pale gray vapor with no real taste. There might be more flavors yet to be released if I start to increase the temp, but the less-volatile cannabinoids are not that interesting to me.

Ime hisitant... not too sur.. so basically ile get more intense full flavoured hits more easily whith a ssf or tha dbv then the extreme whip??? ... hmm (LOCK) seems to think that there very similar.. but (very similar) i guess sais it all (it aint the same) probly the vapors a lil more diluted then with a classic just whip vape.. hmm..

Does anyone know whether the "intense full flavoured hits" that some say they get from other vapes is due to temperature? I mean, what else could it be?

Maybe some folk are fans of combustion products and the Arizer products simply don't get hot enough for them.

i think its not temp but chamber size and air tightness of the connections between the vape, heat chamber and whip.. anyway idk, still cant make my mind up sick of this (not knowing what to buy shit) ssv or this..

The Saga Continues . . .

So the little elbow jointful that has been giving so much pleasure for these past couple days finally stopped providing vapor at 200C. So I took the machine to 210C and let it preheat then tried again. Nothing much happened. I took a look at the pack and it had a brown center but a dried-looking but still greenish surround. Dumped the load out, stirred it, packed it back into the elbow, and dialed the temp back to 200C. I let it warm a bit and just now hit it and got plenty of visible, gray vapor in the tubing and on exhale.

It's interesting that the other strain I was trying, "M33," didn't do anything worth writing about after stirring and re-packing. This vape really shows the differences between the two strains I am using right now (have a third lined up to try next) and it seems to do a great job of extracting a surprisingly large amount of the clean THC goodness that I enjoy from my provider's "mystery" strain.

I can really tell the differences between strains with this gadget.

(It took me about 15 minutes to write that last sentence. Edited it over and over. I am really vaked.)

TO Rocket,

I think it's based on temp. I always notice that it stops after a certain temp, on all the vapes I've tried. The taste is probably associated with THC or some other compound, the same with kief, which is supposed to be all of the good stuff :). If you notice as the green gets brown, the taste stops too. This is my theory at least.

To Hbuddy,

I don't know for sure, but each vape is probably in the same area of taste. I'm pretty sure it would have to do with efficiency more than anything. I think I read somewhere that people on this site say DBV is very efficient, while the SSV gives bigger hits. The extreme is dual, it's totally different than both of them. I cannot say what to get, it's all preference, do you want a dual vape, or a whip vape?

They do?
I thought that's what everyone was saying...? Maybe I misread, which is my fault, but I was hearing DBV is efficient on bud, and the SSV gives large hits? Then what is the difference?

ya but the ssv and the extreme q are straight the same price (240$)cnd.. must be a reason for that?.. the ssv has absolutely nothing on it.. meanwhile the extreme q has everything a vape can have ..??? so must be somwhere that the ssv gives off a better whip vape.. btw ime only interested in the whip.. and the digital temp i like a lil but the bag its just an extra, giv lil care for... if the same vapor comes out the 2 machines, ssv are a robery, and ile go extreme ... but anyway, ime about the (whip vape) its what i want a good (the best whip vape) possible, is extreme q that??.. anyone can help?? can an extremeq give as large of hits???
