The HD Vape

The seller has a good rating but I think there are better designs where you don't have to inhale butane, the 2 below you can heat the glass with a torch and it functions off residual heat without the sustained use of a lighter.

The Vapocane is made by the same guys as the Hurricane Bong from Germany.

Thanks for the links, but that last one is very expensive at 140$....and the other requires a torch lighter which will set me over my budget.

I am still waiting for a response from the HDvape guy.

I plan to use beeline hempwick anyhow. or at least trying to. ive read conflicting reports on butane as well.

Yeah the second one is a little too pricey for what you get, it almost cost as much as a Supreme vape which is my choice for a lighter powered vaporizer.

I live at home and will use this as my secondary/third vape.

I use my Myrtlezap as my primary. I use my MZ ABV in my LB. When Im done with my LB I will use it in my HDvape. or skip the LB sometimes.

I just like using my bong sometimes! The whole process

I've hit my friends HDvape more than a few times. Unless the conditions are perfect, there is definitely a butane taste. For this reason, I like to keep my use of inhalation/lighter based vapes to a minimum. I've never used a torch lighter, which will give a more complete combustion of the butane. The technique will also have to change, since you cannot suck the flame into the heater.

A torch is out of your price range? I picked up a little micro torch from my local gas station for only a few bucks. Does it HAVE to be a honker torch like the SV tends to like?

Personally I love my little micro torch. It works so much better than any bic anyday on my VG.

The bong attachment is crazy. You can almost vaporize an entire bowl in one breath. A lot of you here are doing efforts to smoke less. This can also be an good vape to conserve with.
But a whole bowl in a breath gets you super duper high.
The pipe thing is cool too.

Only jet lighters with good butane give me very nice hits and excellent taste.
Anything else taste bad. Bee line gave a bad taste, normal lighters are too weak.

...dont forget you can use torch lighter and inhaled butane is no issue. HDvape is similar to Clear Dome's filter but I think CD filter is working better. :2c:

can anybody owning HDVape post a photo of the heat diffuser from above / bottom? :) thank you

Bananiq,
So it's basically an all glass vaporstar top n bowl? Without closeups of the cap it's hard to tell, and if anyone here owns one please post pics! The concept of this design is genius. I wish we had a video that wasn't posted by a 14 year old juggalo idiot, where the bowl would be emptied for the camera to see then revaped, rinse repeat, etc.. Either that thing is ridiculously efficient and the bowl is huge, or he's burning it somewhat.

Still, 65 for the bong attachment is a little steep. They should simplify the fanciful design and lower the cost 20 bucks so that it's more in the flight-of-fancy category of spending. Also, since it says everything is made to order, the guy might not be adverse to some slight custom work. Glassblowers tend to be pretty cool. I'd like something like the hand portable model, except where the stem came out more horizontal and was a 14.4 mm joint or the small non-ground-glass joint bong size. This way you could use it without, or slip on an oring and put in in the bong. Mmmm...

On another note, that youtube is hilarious. Those channels are always fascinating and sad when you stumble on them, some lonely person with a tiny circle of other lonely people all watching and commenting on each others videos. I always see them when I'm searching for a product and they happen to be doing a review - I found the saddest cat lady EVER when looking for an SX guitar review. Funny part was it actually really showed off the axe, ha.

Make sure you all check out the post on the Clear Dome vape, very similar concept.

About the custom work:

When I ordered mine he was on vacation so he made it with some colors and stuff for me :)
I am sure he can do anything.

So how do you like it now that you own it? Is it your preferred vape? Could you possibly give us some close-up shots of the cap?

Thanks!

I got this a few months ago before I found the mflb. Now the mflb is the only thing I use. I even sold my bong, BEFORE buying anything new. That is not how I usually do things.

The vape is great. But I need much more stealth.
My living situation is the reason for this.
If I lived alone I would no doubt use the hdvape much more.

I broke my heat diffuser so it's easier to see how it is made. Pictures taken with my phone, beware.
Also, if there is any exif data I didn't know how to remove, please let me know.

I wish this forum had a rep system, thanks so much for posting.

Can the MFLB deliver nice satisfying decently-dense clouds? I would hop on that thing at like 60 bucks or so but need more persuading as it is. And the permanent screen thing seems iffy, like the design shouldn't of gotten off the drawing board without changing that aspect. But tons of people love there's and almost no one has anything bad to say, so...

What was your experience with lighters? Did you use a bic lighter or a torch? Which one worked beter?

I'm gonna order one soon, maybe this weekend.

I know this isnt the proper thread, but the MFLB is an incredible device. The lifetime warranty is killer too. You will not regret the purchase of the LB.

See, that's what EVERYONE says. There was like one post on the MFLB forum from a disgruntled consumer who then got his problem taken care of and ate his hat in apology.

Don't get ot here.

@charliedontsurf:
I assume you meant to write "hdvape".
Yeah dense clouds like you never seen before with a torch lighter.
I thought the hot air would feel bad, but it don't. It's super niiiiice :)

@george:
I tried it with matches, bee line, normal lighter(cheap gas), normal lighter(great gas) and torch lighters.

I will only smoke from this again with the last two things on my list there.
Matches suck, they give of soot. Bee line does this too and it does not taste good.
Normal lighters with cheap fuel taste terrible. They can also give off soot if you hold it the wrong way( too far or too near or something, been a while since I used a lighter on this), but with great fuel this is an option if you don't have a torch lighter.
A torch lighter is something you need with this device. It makes it better.

I have had it loaned out to a fried for a while but I asked for it back.
I just need things to line up and I will do a little video thing on this. Showing you a little and demonstrating.
Sadly I sold my bong so I can't demonstrate the gong piece, but it is the same thing almost.

looking forward to your review. i need something to sell me on this.

george,
As awesome as the HD vape seems, the full dome vape seems to do the same in a more low-profile design which, HOPEFULLY, should be less expensive.

Waiting on a response from the cleardome guy, because I want to order one of those -tonight-

How big is the GonG fitting on the HDvape diffuser please? is it 18mm?

Read the description on his shop. It says he makes them to order, so you just need to tell him if you want 18 or 14.
