It supposed to be 35, when buying 10. Still a good price, as long as it does not go over rainbows, people should invest in this one. I say up to 60 bucks + shipping is unbeatable value for sole buyers.

Check out a video I made

PayPal is good for getting your money back, if you are unsatisfied, I heard.

Gotta get one

what vendor did you use ravachol? and so i just have to email them say I'm a vendor and I want to sample to get a better price? Sorry I'm new to the whole alibaba thing and I'm pretty uncomfortable with it

So, what happens if we just send the $ over PayPal to Chen, with our address and 1x fenix vaporizer in the comments? Does that count as an order.

Besides, I'd rather get 3 for the prize, so that I have enough vapes at hand, and battery is always there

AFAIK there's no buyer protection if you use the "send money to a friend" feature. You need to have the seller issue you an invoice.

Yes I just bought througj PayPal after getting an invoice. I think I put the invoice number on to it, you can state you arr paying for goods or service and you will have some buyer protection

They won't answer via email nor alibaba.

Somebody in europe ordering more than one of this?

They don't seem to care much of "small" businesses - the last email I got is basically referring me to retailers in different countries, for example they said they sold exclusive rights for selling Fenix in Canada to xy company... I guess this is a practice to raise their wholesale prices, as the retailers going to set theirs just below a Boundless CFX - and friends, as good alternatives for convection in stead of millionaire's Crafties and Mighties. Very, very good tech, IMO they should go for this ~60 USD price, so people can finally have a fair shot trying vaping their life away. BTW new vid coming soon "What's inside Fenix vaporizer - teardown" - keep eyes peeled :D

My conclusion on the vape:
For the average price I believe it is a good buy. Subject of many concerns, the airpath is
tightly closed in here. Air inlet on the bottom also includes a pressure sensor, which regulates
heating on-demand, effectively giving a temp-boost during inhale.
Word of warning: do not blow into mouthpiece during vaping! It can take some time for the sensor to recover, not long, but could be enough to overheat. There is a thermistor attached to the chamber, so I would expect an electronic counter-action to prevent this, but better to be safe. Don't panic though, if you caugh into it..
Though claimed to be a full convection technology, I argue this: it has a heating element placed in a narrow enclosure within, as part of the entire load chamber - the air is forced through the hot element, but this also heats the entire metal construction, leaving you with a semi-convection (hybrid) experience, which in turn produces decent amount of vapor, extracts way better.
They claim 8 kinds of protection, I think this number includes some sensors as well, not necessarily for protection, but for functioning properly:
-battery over/under voltage protection
-battery charge indication
-overheat protection (thermistor)
-probably an onboard thermal-protection, but not sure about this
-pressure sensor for heating control
-auto shut-off
-donno. Magnetic closure maybe?
-donno. Tweezers for safe handling maybe?

The two method for vaping (slow and fast) I recon is just a simple switch of heat regulation:
slow for pressure sensing (heats when inhale only), fast for constant temperature sensing by the thermistor attached to the load chamber (more like a conduction method).

Battery is definitely not LG, as some shops claiming. Its your random, common vapejuice - however tried and tested thoroughly - EVE18650 CX 8.14 Wh

Excellent informative videos Gibarian.
For people struggling with ordering one i got mine through Janice at Novel on Alibaba, she was very helpful. I also paid through PayPal.

What's the white crap seen at 2:55? Teflon or some kind of plastic?
Good point, I totally missed to specify :) It is ceramic, quite a tough one, as it took some abuse before I was able to dent inside it, to reveal parts beyond. Same material can be seen around one leg of the coil, this to prevent short circuit I suppose. The cylinder feels a lightweight metal alloy, could be aluminium, for good heat transfer rates, the top part is more like steel - conduction was well calculated into the final method of extracting herbs. On last image you can see an extra layer below the strainer screen, this covers the heat chamber, where air goes through. You can see - if look closely - tiny holes on the edge, this is where hot air enters your load chamber. Essentially, air contacts metal, ceramic and heating element before reaching load. I can also add the tiny rubber bed on the bottom, where pressure sensor is, also -between the steel tube and a ceramic bit - there is a soft rubber disk. This is however entirely excluded from airway if you look at the design closely at 2:15 / 2:23. Cheers!

@Gibarian can you do a vape off of the fenix to see how much convection is actually going on. I saw Kushbury's video including this, but wanted to see if they truly did change anything within the unit. I'd love to see before and after pictures with the unit running for five minutes without any draws. I even created a FC account after being a long time lurker to ask for this lol. Thank you and Vape on.

Hi, and welcome on FC, epic place. What I saw on Kushbury's video, is actually that they did not even remove the big "F" Fenix logo on the top of the device (3:26) - means I would expect just about the same efforts regarding the insides. Don't think even a better battery was installed, and I would be very surprised to see a totally different heating method. Fenix is a brilliant little device, but not a 100% convection, period. The way it works, is basically you get your herbs heated by conduction to a certain point, than the final amount of heat for extraction comes from convectional hot air. Without a draw your load gets fairly cooked in 5 minutes, but still not wasted (slight browning on the bottom, but not the sides, still fresh green on the top) - this is where pressure sensor gets in game. Your load is also kept above "void" so no direct contact with the heated bottom. Obviously a full waste if "enhanced" mode is on, thats just a regular conduction owen with lots of radiating heat.

As I live in a country where cannabis qualified illegal, I cannot comment on that. I use a mixture of additive free tobacco, and various herbal mixes off Ebay :science:, and stopped smoking about 3 years now.
Kushbury's results seem legit though.

For the prices around the net, I would not hesitate, which one to buy :) Puri5 left me with the impression of a poorly constructed company, their price for a rebrand is just not worth it, especially with other good units around the market in that price range.

I'm curious about that pressure sensor... I might need one at some point for one of my projects. But I know they can be finicky and function erratically as well as clog over time etc. Can you identify a part number or a specific model they are using?

this looks the same. They can clog, but in Fenix there is actually a good example how to install one. It is basically clog-free design. The membrane sits face down over a tiny hole, the two opening on the sensor's back are for atmospheric. When you pull air though, the air goes in through the tiny hole first, before passes through the next chamber and gets into the larger diameter steel tube - so it creates vacuum between, which the sensor picks up. Than sends a signal over to exert more heat, simple :)

can someone tell us a bad thing about this vape?#

one of the most interesting aspects: the whole vape costs less than getting your mighty batteries fixed by SB
