Okay so a buddy of mine was giving me a solid deal on a mighty vaporizer. The inside has a slight crack near the bowl. Is the crack going to impact the heating process at all? He's assured me it works 100%, but I just want to be positive before I buy it. Thanks in advance guys! I would supply a picture, but I'm not seeing an option to attach a picture.

Hey guys so I've been doing alot of research the past few days about vaporizers and I know that I want to have a portable, ive narrowed it down between the Haze V3 and the Mighty.
I'm trying to stop using bongs and blunts, i smoke multiple times a day, I currently have a kandy pens K-vape and I'm not very satisfied with it, it never truly gets me to the point that I want to be at like I could with a bong. Some of the problems I'm having with vaping compared to smoking is the fact that I don't get that big full chested feeling during a hit and I really enjoy taking longer draws.
I like the mighty because it has nice tempature control, and a long battery life, i dont mind the size of it that much I've heard it's nice for using at home and get nice big draws similar to a table top.
But I've also been looking at the haze because I like the cans and being able to pre pack, i also love how it looks, i dont currently use any kind of extract or oils but it is something I aminterested in doing which is another reason I'm interested in the haze. My concern is that the haze isn't gonna really give me the results I'm hoping for.
For reference I can get a brand new mighty for 330$ or a brand new Haze for 200. Whiche one do you think would be the better option, im seeking help from people who know way more than i do.

You can use concentrates with the Mighty using the liquid pad. Also, if you like pre-packing, the dosing capsules will be perfect for you. If you have the money to buy a Mighty, 100% go with the Mighty. I don't think there are any portables that will get you as blasted as this device.
I have both so I guess I would be a good candidate to answer. First off I will tell you that they are both great vapes, just very different. Second I will tell you that the only one in my car right now out of those 2 is the mighty (The Milaana and Lotus made the rotation as well today). The Haze still makes it out into rotation occasionally and anyone can get a hit off of the Haze, even weak lunged people. since conduction vaporizers start hitting hard from the start, Convection takes a bit to get going. The flavor is better on the Mighty for sure. I do love making weed /concentrate sandwiches in the Haze and the Haze is the vape that got me to quit combusting altogether along with UD! But if I was just going to pick 1 between those 2, go Mighty.

Thanks for the response, I actually ended up going with a Haze V3 since I am pretty new to the while thing I like that you have the 2 types of screens and that it can use all types of herb/concentrates/liquid in it its just really versatile and better for my situatuon. I'm sure my next toy will be a Mighty

Cracking around the bowl was a more prevalent issue in early models, before S&B reinforced that area. The area is slighty raised around the bowl in the improved (though not perfect!) design. So, your friend's may be one of the early ones? Over time, battery replacement may be necessary (if so, $90 last I knew). But the piece will probably function just fine even with the damage there. So it's about a good deal with a friend and a Mighty; sounds cool to me!

I got a small RYOT Pack Ratz case (I think I got the name right) for my Crafty. VERY snug fit and smell proof. And pretty inexpensive. You may want to see which size will work for the Mighty.

I don't have a definitive answer for you. Battery life will depend on how much it's used over time and how it's treated (battery life can be shorter if, say, they are often charged while hot). To just toss something out, I will say that it would not be at all unusual for a Mighty to go well more than a year on original batteries (there are two in there). My own use has been on the order of 6 to 10 uses a day for 10 months now and it seems to be going strong. I believe the product has not been on the market for two years yet, which is warranty period for new ones, so we have no anecdotes on long, long life. One dude has a Crafty with crazy amount of hours (500+), but he solders his own new batteries in regularly (and modified some heat sensor's location)! Mighty does not have a user view-able hour-of-use tracker like Crafty does.
A good request of your friend might be, would he/she continue to be helpful if needed if a covered warranty problem arises.

I sent in my Mighty for RMA and guess what? It lived for 1,5years and was one of the first models (Serial about 2000). I just sent it to them because the closing mechanism was COMPLETLY broken. It began to break after 1-2 month of use. I emailed them about RMA but decided to keep it until completly broken.
There was absolutely no plastic left to hold the cooling unit in the end. Too bad i didnt make any photo. In the End the CU was held by a rubber band on the heating chamber. It went through a couple hundred hours use ^^.
Now i`m awaiting an answer regarding the repair. Hope they reward it that i waited so long and used the almost broken unit more or less till the end of warranty so that i dont have to pay something.

Maybe my scenario can help give some perspective.
I bought my Mighty back in early June this year. Two days ago (8/28) I noticed that a small piece of plastic had chipped off around the top of the unit where the cooling unit attaches to the heat chamber. This was a very small chip just along the seam of the casing, maybe the size of a grain of rice and my unit was still fully functional. I submitted my warranty request and the next morning I got all the info I needed to either ship it or take it in person. I live 30 mins away so I brought it in and left about an hour later with a brand new unit. Granted, my Mighty was still in great condition and the defect was obvious but the service I received today was outstanding and from what you are telling me you'll probably get a new unit and could have had one a long time ago.
Again, outstanding service from S&B.

Wow, the day after Storz&Bickel received my worn down Mighty, they sent me a message, that the device has been repaired or replaced with a tracking number. Whatever they did, when the device is in a usable condition i will be more than pleased with this lightning fast service!
Just chiming in that one of my Mighty's is an OG serial 12XXX and was purchased last November and continues to work flawlessly! Battery life is slightly less, and vibration is hit and miss, but no broken plastic parts or anything.... I haven't even had the desire to send it back for a firmware update! My other Mighty is a 23XXX serial and also continues to work it's magic!
I've owned and sold several Crafty's and Mighty's...... fortunately not once have I had to use an RMA with S&B....and I USE my toys fairly hard. Just this morning one of my Mighty's fell off a bed on to a hard thinly carpeted hotel room floor.....my heart sank, but it continues to work perfectly!

To me it should either be a Ryot Packratz case or the Ryot Piper depending on how much else you will carry in your "kit" with the Mighty. I got like the Piper because besides my Mighty, it also has enough room for a small grinder, flowers/concentrates, a scoop spoon, cleaning brush, and a few materials for combustion like hempwick, a lighter, and raw papers. It looks like a well made hand bag that wont draw attention, has odor retaining sealed zippers, and is well padded to protect the Mighty from nasty falls even against concrete. If you like to pack light, the Packratz should do. Vatra cases are also worth looking into but the superior quality is Ryot IMO having had both types of cases.

I actually meant for long term storage. Like, should I keep the battery at half, etc?
I have a Nintendo pouch that I'm keeping my Mighty in and for traveling around. Works great. I also have the dosing capsules, and stuff, for carrying stuff.

For long(er) term storage, I just make sure my vapes are clean. Regarding batteries, I think it's recommended to keep them with a partial charge. Definitely keep them cool and dry. You should ask one of the battery mavens on this site (I think there's a thread devoted to it). Too technical for me...
Are you so in love with your gh that you're temporarily retiring your Mighty?

It's just that the Mighty is much bigger to take around, and the Grasshopper holds less and seems more efficient. I love my Mighty don't get me wrong. I just don't see myself using it that much now that I have the Grasshopper. Although, my hopper keeps giving me heart attacks. LOL

I'm really looking forward to trying it. I've had so many vapes. Iolite, MFLB, Airzer Air, VapCap, you name it. The best convection system I have is the high temp Lotus with the WPA, but it's not exactly portable and it can't be shared with people who don't know how to operate it.
My decision was colored by two factors. My edible loving girlfriend always wants to try vapor but coughs her lungs out every time she tries it. She went on a camping trip as part of a college class she's in and one of the other students brought a Mighty. She tried it and was able to hit it with no trouble. Probably due to the open air path and the ability to really lock into a specific temperature. Meanwhile, the building where my band practices is being sold to build condos (the hazards of living in Portland) and our new place doesn't allow anything that might be a fire hazard.
The Mighty appears to be the solution to both of these problems. If it's even half of what it's stacked up to be I'm going to be very happy. Tomorrow...
I'm still waiting for my Grasshopper. My impression of it is that it's more of a personal hitter than group gear. Small chamber, inclined to heat up a lot, relatively short battery life...
I can't wait to get mine but I really don't anticipate sharing it much.
