This is probably not what is expected under a topic of new pieces, but I had been looking around for a dab station and just didn't find what I wanted. Huffy Glass did seem to make something very similar to what I wanted, but everybody was out of stock on it.

So, I called Huffy Glass and they said "sure, be glad to make one for you". Well, if being made for me, then perhaps we can change is up a bit to which they replied "sure, whadaya want?"

Here it is below. Middle is cup for q-tips. There are three arms, one with an 18mm female (they will put on whatever you want), one arm has their normal dab tool cup, and the third I had made as very wide dab tool cup to accommodate my CCA 710 Storm Cap (and I bet you could be a lot of other caps in there also).

The piece was reasonably priced ($75), Huffy Glass was a complete pleasure to deal with (ask for Sam), and the piece is very well made and exactly what I wanted.

I Freaking Love This Möbius Flower Pot Vaporizer

I have been on a slow-moving quest for about 20 years to find a cannabis flower vaporizer that is easy to use and truly effective (for a stoner like me with a high tolerance). Seems I typically find one or the other, and I've tried a variety of disappointing and/or cumbersome vaporizers over the years. I am delighted to report that I have, at last, found a fantastic and potent and SIMPLE way to effectively vaporize flowers.

The general concept is that the desirable resins and oils vaporize at a lower temperature than combustion, so by vaporizing ground cannabis flowers one can get nice and stoned without taking all that burned plant material with tars and such into your lungs.

The Flower Pot is a simple vaporizer adaptor for your bong. It is comprised of a small bucket that fits in the bong and a quartz cap with a long handle. The cap has 3 thick rings with holes between them. You heat up the cap, place it on the bucket containing ground flowers, and when you inhale, the air is heated by being drawn through the holes in the cap and the material is thereby vaporized.

The cap can be heated with a torch, a gas stove, a camping stove (which is what I use), or other flame source. Regardless of what you choose, you need to determine the optimal setting for vaporization:

- The cap can get so hot it combusts the flowers

- Experiment to find the right heat level such that the herb doesn't quite combust and does vaporize. On my micro camping stove, this is a very low flame which helps the cap reach the right temperature in about 3 minutes. The flowers should turn brown but not black when you inhale, and you should see a light haze of vapor but not smoke in your bong. At the right temperature, you can taste the cannabis resins nicely.

- Once the cap has reached the correct temperature, it achieves a "steady state" where you can keep it on the flame and just remove it when you're ready to inhale.

- Another technique I read was to use a regular dab torch for 12-15 seconds, then retorch for 5-6 seconds as needed.

Usage:

- Place chosen amount of ground flowers in the bucket, then place heated cap on bucket.

- Inhale.

- Place cap back on flame source.

- While you hold it and/or exhale, give the ground flowers a little stir.

- Place cap back on bucket, inhale again.

- Repeat 2-4 times

- Empty out the bucket (save the weed for cooking) and go again!

I am ridiculously pleased with this setup, which instantly became the main way I use cannabis at home. It's really simple and works very well -- easily the most awesome vaporizer I've ever encountered.

Caution: if you use a camping stove like I do, remember that they put out odorless carbon monoxide. Be sure to use in a well-ventilated area or by an open window.

man that is pure freedom right there! only thing though, it looks like I could load my vaporizer 4 times with that amount of herb you have. I'm assuming you use that amount of herb a few times before it's spent....

Oh, that's a mix of low-grade shake and bud bits from a friend's trimming last year. Hence the quantity. i wouldn't load it with that much bud at once. Still quite a bit, though. One of the benefits of this little device is to be able to use lower-grade weed in larger quantities for better effect.

I also think that I'm likely to use more herb each time I use this than if I were taking small hits from a hand pipe. It doesn't seem quite as efficient, but that's ok.

@Likes2vape I have to know how that Sic nail works out with the 710whip controlling it?? Does it give comparable clouds to the stock ceramic?
It works great with the 710whip. I like it way better than the stock ceramic nail it came with. I could never get the stock nail totally clean and it affected the taste. The sic dish can be torched clean or I can scrape it pretty clean with out fear of breaking it.

I got this piece from a buddy for my birthday a couple months ago. It came with a nail and dome but you couldn't heat the nail as it was to fat for the dome to fit over. I got a banger for it and it hits like a champ. Pretty impressed really for what is more than likely China glass. It's my first small rig and I like it.

I was looking for a smaller rig with less diffusion to use with my Liger. I have been watching @ccchase420 in his videos using a Bates X Worm diffuser pump but, and I'm sure the quality is worth it, its a bit much for me to spend at the moment (in the $500 range on Aqualabs, I believe).

However, I received an email flyer from Touch of Modern with a Gravlabs collaboration with Bates and it was only $109 so I bought one.

Used it last night for the first time and loved the function. However, its very thin glass and rather light so I couldn't use a drop down with it and my Liger 2.0 as it was on the edge of tipping over.

I don't know if the Bates version is heavier overall with thicker glass, but the Gravlabs version is fairly light weight...oh well, if it breaks I will just have to get a Bates original as I like this design a LOT.

...iv had that issue a few times myself w/ some rigs....Tipping.
The cool thing though is you can turn the bucket of the liger to be even w/ the floor...it balances it...a tiny bit.

I have the BatesXWorm version. I wouldn't call it super thick. I would say it's no more than 5 mm. The joint is vertical and it's pretty stable with the Liger. I use a drop down that's given it a bit of a wobble. I've ordered a new one to test out. A visit to a glass blower is the final solution I guess. I might entertain a weighted foot idea too. It's my grail piece.

Well, yeah...if I turn it sideways sort of then I can rotate the bucket to vertical. I did try to pull it around a bit with the drop down but still wasn't satisfied with the balance and stability.

Hi @brucee10 - I can see this being a favorite design....yeah, Gravlabs version is definitely NOT 5mm.

Adding something to the base to make it wider and heavier is a good idea that I will consider....like I said, pretty paper thin so I expect its life span to be somewhat short LOL If I break it I will buy a Bates version as I like everything about this design except the balance.

Cheers
