Firewood Vaporizer

Thanks for replying! I'm 99.9% certain it's the low quality of what I have, so the goal is to find work-arounds until that changes. I think I got my firewood around early-ish February- I posted in this thread somewhere about it. The vape hasn't degraded with time or anything, and it doesn't taste like wood at all. Just very bitter and very grassy. I kind of wonder if my stuff is even cured tbh. I have absolutely no insight on how my material was made- I have bad anxiety so I just split with my brother so I don't have to talk to strangers, he has a buddy I've never met in person (played ffxiv with him though haha)

In fact, I suspect the only reason the taste has gotten almost unbearable in the past couple months is that I finally have material of my own. Before, my brother would just share a bit with me, and it would have been ground up a day or two in advance, sometimes I'd take it pre-grinded home and save it for like a week. I ordered a chromium crusher recently, so I'm also going to try grinding capsules a couple days before I use them.

The capsules are a little dirty, so I think I will try to clean them sometime to see if it helps anyways. Also considering finding a cheap stem of some sort like I see people use, so I can jack the temperature in a way that won't be painful while maintaining portability- and getting a nice glass piece for at home comfort. People often mention using the crafty CU but I wish it didn't look so silly jammed onto the end of a firewood

Worst comes to worst though, looks like availability in Canada will be pretty great pretty soon. And though the flavour right now is terrible, the Firewood is very good at bringing it out, which means I think I will be quite happy once I have some decent stuff. Thanks much for the suggestions guys, I keep forgetting how helpful this forum is even for relatively stupid problems like mine.

A short term solution if you only have bad quality right now, is to mix in an herb with good flavor like white sage, lavender, or spearmint

I like butane vapes.
Hey guys! I've been enjoying my firewood for quite a while now but only after I bumped up the internal heat to 7 clicks. I must have gotten a firewood that ran a little colder. I noticed that I am only getting around 1 1/2 to 2 capsules before the battery dies. As this is an annoyance I find myself picking up other vapes even though I love the FW3. Is it possible to use powerex's 2700mah inside of the firewood for better battery life?

Its gonna be snug, you may wanna widen the holes or prepare not to get them out in the future. If you can even jam it in there.

Edit:
Please dear Post Office don't fail me on this unexpected early delivery. I really wanted something to do since I have no work today.

There are 7 more as of right now in this album.

I might be willing to upload my first attempt at using this thing. It was recorded.

FUCK CANCER TOO !
Geez....I was hoping it wasn't going to look quite this nice as to give my wallet and its plastic contents sufficient time to cool off....BUT NOOOOOOOOO....another vaportisisan has to go and CREATE another masterful looking convection vaporizer....out of some well-carved wood, I might add!!!

Sooooo again...when are we talking availability? Late October was thrown around earlier, if memory serves?

EDIT: "....end of [this] month or early October at the latest." Yes?

It looks great, however, I am concerned that the smaller glass tube is begging to get broken. Is that whole piece a cooling chamber?
The glass piece should be fine. It would only get broken if you have the glass piece out of the wood. I got a good shot of it in my unboxing. Unfortunately my camera cut out right when I was checking the battery area.

Do you mean that glass piece tucks away?

Thank you, I really wanted to see the thing I already know I'm buying. You can see how many decisions went into balancing the component sizes and keeping things compact. So many solutions packed into the battery door, balanced design, awesome. High-drain 18650s are a very good indication of performance improvements for an already really nice heater and interface, I'm excited.

I'd love to see some side and 3/4 shots of the FW4 vs FW3, the straight shots are a little hard for me to settle in on the design, likely gorgeous in person. I want to not have the bulk of the mouthpiece or see it protruding beyond the rectangle, I'm imagining a smaller piece of walnut w/ an angled hole for a glass Crafty stem. That would suit my preference to not touch wood when I'm drawing and "simplify and add lightness".

EDIT: Oh, hey, so the glass tip of the mouthpiece is adjustable? Like all in for storing, and then how far could I pull it out to use?

@paytonpenn is the cooling unit lined on the inside the whole length of vapor path, or will vapor contact wood?
In your opinion how well does it cool the vapor?
How do you think the CU is gonna clean up, pia or easy peasy?
Where's that video you fuckin tease?

Edit: I'm sure you're counting bowls/battery too?

Edit again: are the capsules the same as my beloved fw3?

TIA

I thought the Mi had cured my vas but looking at this thing I'm definitely having a flare up.

Those pictures are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The fit and finish looks flawless.

The fact that it uses the same batteries as the Mi is a plus too.

I What kind of heater does it use?

Sorry for the announcement delay, I fell asleep before it finished. The video will answer most of these questions.

In regards to the CU it cools the vapor, more testing required for how well. It isn't advanced. Easy clean.

I am seeing good battery life, about 5 sessions per battery.

Same capsules, it will all work with each other.

Another fine production by Mr. @paytonpenn, that makes my money want to leave my wallet!
Thank you for all your videos brother, and for answering my questions.

Looks like Marc has another winner on his hands!
The craftsmanship is exactly what I was expecting.
The ease and quickness of battery swap looks to be better than expected.
I can tell someone made a few dugouts back in their combustion daze!!

Hope y'all emailed Marc back in July to be added to the waiting list. It will surely grow as PP uploads more of his stellar user videos.

This will be my 4th kickass all but instant pure convection portable this year!!
Obviously not the year to keep vas in check!

I wasn't expecting it to be smaller than the fw3, even with the cooling unit. And being able to use it without means it can be even more compact.

I am very happy it seems to use the same or similar heater. I really really like the fw3 vape signature. Maybe most of all my vapes (but i won't choose-shut up, ya can't make me...), so I was a little concerned that it had been discontinued already.

If this is similar, and now with swappable batteries, i think i've moved from don't need, to don't want to DON'T TEMPT ME in the last few minutes.

Bastards....
