it took 11 days from the day I found out about it and ordered it I was not on the pre order list from last year I spoke to Caroline at hl and was told people are not confirming there address with the link in the email and also told me that she reply's to every new email as they come and from my experience this is true
my honest opinion is I was lucky and filled a cancellation space I may be wrong but who knows

I do so like a good human interest story. It wouldn't be the first time Hopper Labs made a mistake in the order fulfillment process...

Order # 227xx dark grey titanium

order placed 10/25/15

address confirmation 8/23/16

Received 8/27/16! Working great, looking great alongside my SS. Currently alternating them, which is probably how I will continue to use them. It is pretty nice only having to load half as often, too.

Even after purchasing from VF, it feels really good to finally receive my pre-order after so much anticipation.

I don't think I could have conceived of the GH when I joined FC a couple years ago. It feels like I found what I was looking for in a way. Excited to follow future advancements, but I couldn't ask for much more than this. Very pleased right now. :)

See you all over on the other thread.

Sorry to hear about the tease of address confirmation and no shipment yet, guys. I agree to check spam and confirm that you confirmed (though I'm sure you did). You may want to reach out to Caroline at ghl. She recently responded to me very quickly.

I got the address confirmation on 8/18 still hasn't shipped.

Me too. Mine is a plain Ti.
When my address confirmation was about 8 days old with no ship confirmation, I emailed support and the next day I got shipping confirmation. I had added batteries (and express shipping!) and when you do that you do not go through the auto-link from the address confirmation email. Some of us think this actually delays your shipping a little. And others in U.S. have said they got express shipping anyway without ever asking or 'upgrading' for the 3 dollars.
Oh well, as Ricky says, "It's water under the fridge." (TPB)

have you confirmed your address using the link in the email?
Yep, I confirmed using the link, within an hour of getting the email. I didn't add anything to my order or upgrade shipping.

To be honest I'm in no big rush as my VapoShop SS hopper is tiding me over nicely. I'm not going to bother with an email just yet.

I wrote out several paragraphs about HL's customer service but deleted them. The fact that I have continuously had to email them for basic things makes me feel like a rude, impatient customer. And then the paragraphs I deleted only added to the feeling of me being an asshole.

I'm a really nice guy, probably too forgiving. I almost never complain about service, especially on a public forum. At the same time I want to tell the truth and give an honest account of events.

I already have anxiety issues, which is one of the reasons I medicate. This whole situation is only causing me stress and I will be glad when it's over. And it's not the wait causing stress, I was well prepared for that.

I'm happy for all of the people receiving their hoppers, it truly is a wonderful product. I'm hopeful HL's customer service can improve as they continue to catch up on orders and hire more staff. :peace:

Yes, looking at this from a small business standpoint you are altering your order. This means they have to wait until the payment has been rendered before they can update the order and ship things.

Meanwhile the people like me who got the email, and 5 minutes later clicked the confirm link without changing anything, my order was shipped within 48 hours (I forget exactly how long), and I received it FASTER than if I had upgraded to priority shipping.

In my opinion, I would suggest people ONLY upgrade to priority shipping if they live where USPS first class shipping is extremely slow or unreliable (such as Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico) Otherwise for the lower 48, just click that damn confirm link as soon as possible to get your hopper faster!

Screw adding batteries and upgrading when you get that email - you should do that NOW before you get that confirmation email.

9 weeks since my SS hopper was delivered, still using it daily with no major issues.

I think you may be setting yourself up for stress & anxiety. The GH is still very much an early adopters product & unless you are ready to go through some of the hickups with them I don't think they will meet your expectations.

I've personally had great CS with HL. Though, I've never emailed them asking them questions like when my order would ship it was more suggestions for them to improve their business.

I understand your point, but I am used to being an early adopter and was prepared for all that comes along with it. I've lucked out and had no problems with the hopper itself after 10 weeks. Perhaps that's why I'm having issues with CS. I can't get off that easy lol.

My CS problems are admittedly somewhat minor. I've posted in the Grasshopper thread my first negative experience, and my latest one I am still waiting on a resolution to post about it, if I choose to post anything at all. Like I said, I don't like to complain.

I appreciate your concerns, and I know you mean well, but HL has been shipping hoppers for over a year, and has had plenty of time to work on CS. I don't buy the early adopter argument.

@StickyBricks and @VapCap have both provided me with stellar service above and beyond what is expected with some minor issues I've had. I've seen @Boundless Vape Technology do the same to others, I haven't had any reason to be in contact with them. All of these are newer companies than Hopper Labs.

While we're talking about customer service I will mention @Ratchett too. He provides stellar customer service as well, and I'm pretty sure he's a one man operation. So great CS is possible with new or small companies.

I think HL is in a unique position of way more orders than ability to deliver at this point. So their focus should be on delivering units. I would also say that designing their product is orders of magnitude more complex than the other products you mentioned(Boundless had the advantage of outsourcing their product to an established vape company).

I'm not sure I should be defending HL but they are trying to improve CS, by hiring additional staff. In an ideal world they would have stopped taking preorders until they have a 'final' product in stock but they would have long been out of business & I think everyone would agree that we want HL to succeed.

I agree HL is trying to improve CS, and I think it will get better. Especially when they are caught up on orders and shipping new orders immediately. I think once that happens they will probably become known for the same stellar service as the other companies I listed. I'm sure they are trying hard, they're just going through growing pains.

That doesn't make it any less frustrating encountering their shortcomings.

It's really not that big of a deal so I'm going to stop harping on the subject. I'm starting to feel like a crotchety old man lol. :myday:

I'm just going to keep enjoying my SS hopper while I wait for my Ti and for my problem to be resolved.:science: :peace:

Are you feeling like a crotchety old man, or are you inappropriately grabbing a senior... Just wondering.

I just ordered a grasshopper. Ship time says september. I know in the past the ship time has been very delayed, are they more accurate now? How long are most of you waiting to recieve it?

Thanks a lot!

Edited, well I guess my post got moved to this thread which answers my question. Very unlikely!!! Now, are they good about cancelling orders? I think I'll cancel mine if its going to be months and months.

Welcome @jamie392 !

Hang in there! I think its SO worth it. Plus who knows if/when there will be the next price increase or if they will change the warranty (from lifetime).

There should be an update from ghl in the next week or so. Hopefully that will provide a little insight into their shipping projections.

You may not see it in September, but is October or November so bad? If that's the true turnaround time now, that's a huge improvement from most of us preorderers.

Based on some napkin calculations: 112 days.

I figured about 750 orders per month based on serial numbers. With the current ~10 month backlog, that would take about 3.75 months to clear with their current output of ~2k units per month. Disclaimer: I'm assuming a lot, these are very rough calculations.

I just received my shipping conf. for 8/10/15 for plain ti Priority Mail says it will be here tomorrow. they are starting to ship the plain ti now
As I was reading this post I got an email. I thought for sure it would be my shipping confirmation for my plain Ti, ordered in Sep. 2015.

Nope, just spam.

I've been thinking since June that I'd have my hopper by August, it seemed feasible. And it probably would have happened if I didn't order plain Ti.

Either way, great news! It's good to see shipping confirmations for plain Ti hoppers. Mine can't be too far behind.
