Fire it again. I can still find the ground.
Nug run pure OG
Okay, I'd like to know how the result is, please?

Pure OG has always been pretty "face on fire" raw for me, and I had some OG Kush shatter myself recently that I actually couldn't deeply indulge (kush florals almost set off my sinuses!).

:hmm:

And I hear the phrase "nug run", is that simply referring to the source material (pure bud), or does it also imply an extraction method?

Peace!

It refers to the source material. No trim; pure nug.

I like this shatter a lot. It's real clean and heady. But I prefer the Jet Fuel for potency. That stuff will melt your face off lol.

I'm not feeling that at all with this. It's strong, but mellower than the Jet Fuel I had earlier. Maybe I'm more tolerant of the strain?

Thanks mom, so "nug run" that's the source material. Interesting, I have generally mixed in about 25% sugar trim, I will have to go straight this weekend on my (renewed) Sour Diesel shatter run (will post good or bad, of course).

I love everything FROM or CROSSED WITH anything OG, but OG itself as well as the "cuts" I have tried - SVG-OG and Abusive OG, haven't run into any Tahoe-OG yet - make my sinuses go haywire, and my cheeks feel like they are burning. I do have some outdoor allergies, and I think there is a floral in the "straight" version(s) my allergies don't like.

But cross OG with pretty much anything and I'm gooooooood...

And you are KILLING me still talking Jet Fuel...I have had my feelers out since you first posted it!

Peace and thanks as always!

Check out this solventless gold, strain is J1 from Dabface Concentrates, made here in beautiful Northern California. Very amazing citrus-pineapple thing going on.
Got a deal on it for $35/g, the budtender mentioned it tested just under 90%...

35/gram??!?!?!?!?!?
It's actually $30 if you buy 3.... But this is not the norm around here. Most dispensaries charge $50 - $60 a gram. Rosin can run even more. I do know one guy who makes incredible rosin but he hasn't gotten his operation running in Michigan yet. He will sell to patients for $20/gram. The dispensaries will sell the same product for over $60. But his motto is 'Patients over profits. Fuck your wallets.'

My latest scoop is some Fortune Cookie rosin. Since it was 'house wax' it was $30/gram.

Michigan is seeming less and less of a cold place to move to with every post of yours...

Wow, to think you are picking up rosin so cheaply when there is BHO in Cali running $100 a g!?

As an extractor, I just can't imagine pricing a BHO over a rosin unless the rosin was from some garbage old decomposing trim or something (which would taste like a bale of hay lol)!

Are those nug run rosins? If so, that's especially wonderful pricing :D

All things being equal, I find that rosin >>> BHO.

Glad to see nice solventless meds being retailed at good prices for patients - as it should be :D :2c:

Whether or not it's a nug run rosin is dependent on the supplier. The fortune cookie didn't say nug run but it tastes, and looks, like it is. The guy who sells to patients for $20? Absolutely top notch nug run. I can't wait for him to establish himself here.

I'll take rosin over bho any day. And there has been a switch here from bho to co2 for the solvent. I'm not sure I like that any better.

Great news! I too would take rosin over BHO or co2 extractions almost across the board! Those prices are too cheap to even bother squishing your own too :D

That $100/g stuff from WCC is a huge outlier. I've never spent more than $60 for BHO.

Sad to hear all these expensive prices, for medical even, almost shameful =( I can get grams of budder for about $13 when an ounce is bought at a time ($369/oz). Nug run only! I think quarter ounces even have decent discounts, I got a quarter ounce of shatter for like $115. Maggies in South Colorado if anyone needs an affordable caregiver.

For sure, but then again, my point remains with regard to BHO that runs $60 a g too ;)

I guess the major problem with Cali's market is that the medical law currently in operation became just about a de facto recreational legalization scheme. For this reason, the distinction between genuine medical and recreational becomes blurred and we get higher prices for patients.

The above post describing Co medical pricing per zip of shatter is encouraging though. That is a much better deal for patients :D Hopefully those discounts are subsidised by the prices paid by recreational users in the same region.

I do believe that the 'face on fire' effect being described by our friend @OldOyler refers to a response that comes from TRPV1 receptors (responsible for heat regulation, activated by some terpenes such as the peppery ones IIRC), which will manifest in greater or fewer numbers between people and vary in reactivity to chemical stimuli like terpenes between individuals too. This may explain the differences in effects you guys have experienced.

Of course, different batches even if you guys got material from the same cultivator/extractor may feature different chemotypes (chemical profiles) to one another too, which will further influence subjective differences. ;)

Yeah, that's too expensive too, for sure. I don't think it's the fault of our medical laws but rather prohibitionists fighting that law and legalization. Things will get better eventually but we need to go ahead and legalize this year even though some CA stoners seem too picky to vote for anything that actually makes it to the ballot.

I agree and hope that AUMA gets through, what Ca stoners need to appreciate is that AUMA >>>>> just about any other current legislative option aside from perhaps Oregon state laws. Sure we'd all like even more freedom, but this is a first step to being able to prevent folks from going to prison. Surely we can all stand behind that! I feel so sorry for all of our brothers and sisters who have been locked up like animals for our favorite herb.

New meds for the upcoming week

Jack the Ripper (Sativa) Budder, I really enjoy this Sativa, it can have a tendency to give me anxiety so I generally turn it into medible oil I dose in the AM after breakfast. The terps on this are lovely, very spicy sativa, reminds me a lot of the black market buds of days gone by. This one is a creeper which is always entertaining =)

Peaches and Cream (Hybrid) Budder, this is a new one for me, so not really sure what to expect! The smell is lovely, you get those hints of peach buried in the skunky smell.

The Flav (Indica) Budder, these terps will blow your mind, I like to dab this one pretty low for maximum flavor, awesome for night.

I have always liked the extracts made by Dabble.
The Flav Budder from Maggie's is, as @psychonaut mentioned, terp city!
