Yes, well aware of the unit being conduction. And a quick check of their website confirms you are correct about what they call them there. A double check of my email to confirm this isn't just an Evosight (play on oversight, I'm feeling it), and yes, she's sending 2 x convection carts and 2 x wax carts.

If that's the case, you will want to turn up the temps and hit 'er right away. This could be fun!

If the oven was hot enough and the oven heated air was pulled through the pod some convection would occur. IMO - The second pod version looks substantial enough to cause cooling if the pod itself isn't as hot as the oven as the air passes through it.

I have found that my best Focus hits come from allowing a 30 second heat soak after temp has been reached because of how quickly the oven reached temp and not having the time to conduct heat to the herb. Adding a pod to the mix might require even more than 30 seconds.

Maybe some kind soul will do a test for us at max temp using the new pods and the bubbler (Include the bubbler for better visual comparisons):
- Reach temp and immediately start hitting
- Reach temp, wait 2 minutes and start hitting

I'm hoping someone else will, I'll be testing them and the Flowermate cans that fit as soon as it's all here.

anybody tried the Focusvape Pro Premium, yet?
My understanding (which may not be correct) is that the premium package is just the Focus Pro and the watertool in one box. The vape itself is no different. I have a watertool but have yet to try it. Although most reviews I've seen have said the watertool is a bit finicky to fill and empty, it seems to work well enough. I'll get around to trying mine at some point soon, I hope.

can anyone confirm the set of equipment in the premium package? is the metal adapter for 14/18mm inside also?
thanks

Moondog is correct. The Premium package is the Focus Pro combined with the bubbler in one package. I posted a review and some pics a few pages back:

You can check their website to confirm, but I believe @moondog was correct in it adding the water tool to the set.

I have one and like it. It us a little finicky the first time, but from there it was intuitive for me. I think it works nice for its size.

The stainless steel watertool adapter does NOT come with any Focus package. You must order it separately. Note that it is NOT needed to use the Focus bubbler. The Focus bubbler is designed to sit directly on top of the vape once you remove the glass mouthpiece from the mouthpiece assembly.

I would like to have metal adapter so I have option for bong...
I have seen pictures with focus and water tool, and sometimes the glass mouth piece is removed and sometimes isn't. what is correct?

The water tool will fit on the Focus when the glass mouthpiece is still on there, but I think the demos I've seen show it being used without the mouthpiece. I don't know if either one is "correct". I think it's more a matter of how was it designed to work by iFOcus. I believe their intention was for the mouthpiece to be removed for watertool use. When I get around to trying/using the water tool. I will remove the mouthpiece to avoid any chance of glass-on-glass damage.

You're supposed to use the water tool WITHOUT the glass mouthpiece in so the mouthpiece doesn't make contact with the glass water tool. But.... I've used the water tool with the mouthpiece in by mistake when I wasn't paying attention a few times :smug: nothing bad has happened but I've never let the mouthpiece touch the water tool.

I'm not in the e-liquid game... but I tried concentrates with great sucess mixing it with flowers or soaked in a coton ball. I tried some wax pods (not designed for the Focus although) and they don't work well enough for me (very long to heat and very small hits).

iFocus does offer wax pods specifically for the Focus. Being strictly a flowers man myself, I have not tried them and have no idea as to how well they work.

Haven't tried any concentrates with the Focus. I don't have the pods or wax cart.

My Focus Pro came with a Samsung INR18650-32E 3200mAh battery.

It's funny that their website has conflicting info on the included battery:

Original Samsung 3,200 mAh battery

The Pro Comes Completely With A 2,500mAh Original LG High Drain Battery

The picture on the site is of the 3200mAh Samsung.

I noticed that the 3200mAh Samsung battery is not readily available (not on Amazon or eBay).

It was reviewed on Candle Power Forums as far back as 5/2015:

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...Review-of-Samsung-INR18650-32E-3200mAh-(Cyan)

I don't really need another battery now, but I'm wondering why this battery is not easy to acquire.

I'm sure I could use a Samsung INR18650-25R 2500 mAh battery, but it doesn't have the capacity of the original battery.

Near as I can tell, the units all come with a 3200mAh battery. The replacement batteries offered by PIU are all 2500mAh. I have confirmed this with Jake at PIU. Don't know why the 3200's aren't more available. Wish they were.

The Focus Pro web page is confusing because it's wrong. The pro currently comes with the Samsung 3200. I'm not surprised that the web page missed that one line/item. The user guide I got with the Focus Pro had a slew of misses in terms of spelling and grammar. I mentioned them but I don't know if they were corrected.

I believe the Focus (analog version) comes with the 2500mAH because that's how mine was packaged. They could have updated the packaging for the original Focus though and I wouldn't know.

I did a thorough beat down review using the Samsung INR18650-25R 2500 mAh when I compared the Focus to the Xmax so I would be comparing apples to apples and the Samsung 2500's were pretty impressive. The Samsung 2500's were the battery to beat for a long while and are still top-o-the-line. I use them with both my Focus's.

I love me some PIU but you can get the Samsung's on Amazon for about half what PIU is charging for the LG they are selling.

Hi all,
Received focusvape pro premium with water tool included :-).
the quality of device is really impressive.
I cleaned the unit and it is charging, so I'll update after testing.
I'm a little worried cos the unit has smell, alot, from outside. It's from that black insulation that is in the box.
I hope this will go away cos after cleaning with ethil alcohol 70% the smell is still there, very strong.

PS I didn't receive the separate charger for the battery that I see on the web other packages (Pro & non-Pro) get.
Can I buy this on ebay? what should I look for?

I have the Pro Premium package that came with the bubbler included and it didn't come with the separate charger. The user guide that came with it also doesn't include the separate charger as part of the package. How many batteries do you have? If it's only one I wouldn't bother about the charger and just use the unit to charge the battery.

If you are going to have more than one battery in rotation you should consider a NiteCore. Here's the one I bought last year on Amazon. I think there are newer versions but it's still pretty good. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009JMDD9U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

How did you clean the unit with the alcohol? Did you wipe the outside? I don't think wiping the outside with alcohol would help.

Yes, it is an impressive unit out of the box.

If that smell doesn't go away after a few burn-offs, I would consider asking for an exchange. I had 2 units come out of the box smelling and the smell didn't leave. My third unit hardly smelled at all and the smell dissipated after a couple of burnoffs. The CS rep from iFocus said the unit should NOT smell.

Also, they've changed the packaging so that it doesn't use the black foam anymore.

According to Jake at PIU, the Pro unit does NOT come with the external charger. I did end up getting one of those and I have to say, it was very underwhelming. The quality did not inspire confidence and the one LED indicator did not seem to reliably show when the battery had received a full charge.

I would strongly recommend you buy a Nitecore charger (or other quality manufacturer) instead. I got a Nitecore D4 and it is fantastic. Automatically senses what type of battery you've put in, allows you to choose charging rate (some people like to use a slower rate to extend battery life) and automatically stops charging when the battery is fully charged (also good for battery life). You can find them all over the internet but be sure you get an authentic unit and not a counterfeit. You can learn more about how to identify the real ones on the Nitecore website.

EDIT: Highness beat me to it. I agree that it wouldn't be a good idea to apply alcohol to the exterior of the unit. Using the included USB cable for internal charging does work just fine if you aren't dealing with multiple batteries. I got the Nitecore because I will eventually be dealing with a Grasshopper and all the battery changing that comes with it.

Well mine is in that black foam in the package :-(.
I did clean is outside and inside. also all the pieces. I don't think that ethil 70% is a problem for cleaning. I always us it for cleaning everything including hydratubes, ELBs, vapexnail,...
I only have 1 battery. I'll have a look at the mentioned charger but I presume that it'll be a bit expensive for me so I'll just use USB to charge.

I got the D4 (can charge 4 batteries at a time ) for a bit more than $20US. They also make the D2 which handles 2 batteries and I'm guessing that would be cheaaper.

The charger I listed/linked is like $11.

Unless I'm going out I don't really use an extra battery. I do like an extra battery around if I'm going to be out for the entire day otherwise..... I just charge her up if it's around 25% charged or lower when I'm heading off to bed.

One of the reasons I don't use an extra battery is laziness....whenever I replace the battery all my settings go to default again......When I said lazy I wasn't kidding :)
