I just took a pulmonary function test on Monday, and something interesting happened. The person performing the test asked me if I as a swimmer or an athlete because my lung capacity is bigger than normal. Of course, I'm not either, and actually disabled. I can only think of one theory as to why my lung capacity is so big. Vaping all day long, and holding it in, was very much like one of the PFT tests. Maybe my vaping helped. Who knows. It's too bad some of the people here can't get a PFT to see if they have a larger lung capacity too.

@Vicki its all that deep breathing and holding your breath for 5 or 6 seconds.Good to hear some good news. I've been thinking about you and sending positive vibes.
My doctor sent me in for the PFT because I cough a lot, and wanted to see if I have early onset COPD. I used to smoke cigarettes for 20 years, and I know vaping cannabis is helping me get rid of the crap in my lungs, and help them heal. My chest X-rays were clear too.
I'm still here, still alive.

'Just' anectdotal, but...
I exercise moderately. Around 6 months ago I started vaping prior to some exercise activities and the results, anectdotally speaking, are telling to me. Better breathing, better performance (all things considered, including enjoyment of the activity). I'm not surprised your doctor has noted improvements. You're on good meds

@Melting Pot i will miss you if you leave us. Please rethink your decision. You are just having an off day. We all have them. I've been dealing with a lot the last few years regarding my son. I feel like there's nothing I can do to get him back on the right path.
Everyday I worry that he might die because he's using Heroin or Meth, I'm not sure what? He won't tell me because he is so ashamed. I know it's something because he's destroyed his life and now homeless. He is 32 and for 10 years was a mechanic but something took a hold of him a few years ago.
So some days it's hard to not dwell on thinking about him. It's out of my control and I hate that.

I had a friend that was HIV positive for 5 years and died of AIDS two years ago. She fought the good fight as long as she could. She made her peace with the world and shut her eyes.
We were out together at a friends house and they were droning on about how bad their lives were and blah blah blah... On the the way home I told her how stupid they sounded and "how dare they have the nerve to bitch about anything when you're dying". ........Yeah, I'm a dick.
As soon as I said it....
My friend screamed at me to shut the fuck because I didn't know what I was talking about. She said that 'pain' was real... for them... And who was I to say what, or how, they should or should not feel. I started to say, "But." and she said, "But fuck". And we both started laughing.
Because let's face it, 'but fuck' is funny.

I remember when you first joined Carol.. and first posted about finding foil. I am so sorry that this is still going on. It's awful for a mother to feel they can't help their child. Stay strong.

Spatuletail Hummingbird.
I'm a hobbyist ornithologist . I love birds. Juncos, Nuthatches, and Black Capped Chickadees may be my favorites in Indiana. In Florida, (Home), Rosette Spoonbills and Pelicans are at the top of the list. I can relate to Pelicans.
