Donovan.............great show. That last scene in last nights episode was really well played and well directed.

Shows like this and others of it's ilk make other shows comprised of less talented actors, writers, and directors virtually unwatchable.

I've been binge watching this show. So far 4 episodes. There are a total of 10 episodes the first season. A very good series so far. It's on Cinemax.

Outcast stars Philip Glenister as Reverend Anderson and premieres on 7 JuneFox
If zombies in The Walking Dead aren't scary enough then Outcast is the show for you. The new horror series, created by TWD's Robert Kirkman, covers everything from the supernatural, demons and exorcism. The show's lead star Philip Glenister promises that there is plenty more "darkness" to come as the first season progresses.

Based on Kirkman's comics, Outcast follows the story of Kyle Barnes, played by Patrick Fugit, who has been haunted by demonic possessions his entire life. With the help of Reverend Anderson, played by Glenister, Kyle seeks to live a normal life but his mission could prove to be more troublesome than he had planned.

I just finished this week's episode of Mr. Robot, season 2 episode 5. Wow, it was amazing! From start to finish it was great, but that ending had me :o:whoa:

It really is one of the best shows on television right now in my opinion.

Good stuff, the big twists last season weren't that shocking or unpredictable, but this season did it very well. It all made complete sense, and was still a surprising reveal, very well done....

Meanwhile I finally did Stranger Things recently, every bit as amazing as I had expected when the project was first sold, it's 80s gold

And also, BoJack Horesman season 3?! That silent underwater episode was fucking phenomenal, hilarious with meaning too

Reminds me, anyone who enjoys sketch comedy mat want to check out Brad Neely's Harg Nallin' Sclopio Peepio (crazy name, but fun cartoon tv parody style, kinda like Rick and Morty's interdimensional television eps)

"Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll". Love some of the lines in this show. They were discussing the title of a new play which was....."My Left Foot, the Musical".

All the usual suspects. Most everything on Adult Swim (especially Rick & Morty ), most everything on Viceland (it's a new world ), anything about the universe and/or history, Impractical Jokers, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Preacher, True Detective Season 1 (Season 2 though, what a turd sandwich that was ), Game of Thrones and holy shit, Stranger Things on Netflix. If you haven't seen Stranger Things yet, I can't recommend it enough. What I cannot stand is this scripted reality tv bullshit. It's like garbage through my eyes.

The last ship is my favorite guilty propaganda pleasure, and it continues to surprise. It's no occupied but it will do. Tonight are a couple of other shows I keep up on, tyrant and mr. robot. Tyrant seems to be losing a bit of luster lately, but mr. robot is chugging along at an insane pace. Insanity, maybe that's why I like it.

As expected, Donald Glover's new FX show Atlanta is pretty phenomenal after only two episodes... Also excited to start the new FX comedy Better Things as well

Oh and recently finished SuperMansion on Crackle, pretty fun, gotta love stop motion

Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll
The Irish Rap Musical:Feast was a delight and piece of genius.
Leary’s Johnny vs Ego was spot on.
Ava’s rise for a turn at the wheel was truthful.
Flash’s vulnerability to survive the “Rock and Roll” turmoil was an understated masterpiece requiring a lot of lifting and support.
The anger and slow burn from Relapse was intergel along with the everyman drummer (Bam) with their flaws, insecurities and ability to let the other actors dominate rang true.
And Gigi with her debauched wide eyed innocence tickled me mightily.

If you're into bikes ya gotta check out Harley and the Davidson's on the Discovery Channel. Great series. Documents HD as a start up company going against Indian on the racing circuit and how the whole Harley culture came into being.

I watched this on your recommendation and it was really good. Thanks.

It has an interesting mix of dry and dark humor, with a bleak tone and cinematography. It's very real too, and surreal at the same time. Definitely different from the norm which I always appreciate.

It's so good, I've been waiting a long time for it... Started One Mississippi on Amazon, also quite dry and dark two (out of only six here) episodes in. And the first episode of Better Things was very good as expected too...

Oh and new MTV comedy, Mary + Jane, lady buddy stoner comedy worth checking out two episodes in as well. The future is here! Its going to be a busy fall for comedy actually

Oh but drama wise Quarry is probably pretty good, 70s action thriller on cinemax started

The nathan james has taken critical damage, the samurai is dead, and the captain has disembarked for good.
The season finale was grim but the united states has survived,
and there WILL be a 4th (& 5th) season

Taking Fire (Discovery Channel)

Taking Fire is war as never seen before. A handful of rookies and their leaders from 101st Airborne Division packed personal helmet cameras with their standard issue kit and flew out for a year's deployment in Afghanistan. For them, 2010 would be spent in America's farthest flung outpost in the Korangal, deep in Taliban-held country. Excited and nervous, the rookies wanted to capture what they saw to show the folks back home. The footage they brought back charts an extraordinary first-eye view of modern warfare in one of the deadliest places on earth.

Their combat footage plunges viewers into the heart of the action, giving a visceral experience not captured by news reports or traditional documentaries. Deeper still, their unmediated rushes reveal personal struggles with the dilemmas, confusions, joys and sorrows of war. The men leave the States seeking adventure, inspired to serve their country. What they experience in Afghanistan changes them forever.

In flashes forward to their lives six years on, the men reflect on their year in the Korangal. Now, with their partners who waited anxiously for the safe return of their sweethearts, our soldiers reunite. For some, it's their chance to lay old ghosts to rest.
