Does the Solo seem harsh or too dry after a couple of sessions to anyone? I have never even seen one in person, and am only asking. Since it extracts more efficiently than even the best desktops, I would really like to keep one around to conserve. I just want to make sure my chest doesn't get too irritated, and don't want to cool the vapor any more or else it will condense a good bit. I use an EVO for water conditioning, and conserving is what interests me in Solo. Convection interests me as well. I never vaped using that method.

I have a EVO, EQ, Da Budda, Silver Surfer, LSV, VAP 2, Firefly, SOLO, HEAT WAND, LOTUS and a pack of papers. The NANO is very amazing. Had some others as well. No HOLY GRAIL!

For the $ I love the SOLO. (use it daily) Smooth as silk.

I hate portables however the SOLO is worth it! (for my needs)

Once you get the type of vaporizers you need your focus needs to be on CANNABIS not devices.

MEDICATED = CIVILIZED

SOLO NANO EVO are what I use the most.
The others are just for fun.

Remember the Solo is a portable. A desk type unit is more powerful. The Solo's heater needs to recover so you need to wait at least 30 seconds before taking another draw.

The Solo has very nice flavor but will diminish at the last of your session. What's dry for one one person isn't dry for someone else. It depends on how hot you vaporize at. I use temp 4 and 5 mostly.

You may decide on water filtration but you don't need to. Sometimes I do like using a j hook. The water, it can take away from the taste of the cannabis. A water tool dry is a good way too.

I have an EVO too. I use it before bedtime usually. The Solo uses less cannabis than the EVO. I use my E-nano more than the EVO I have.

I like being able to use a vaporizer without having to worry about being tethered by a cord.
There are so many possibilities.

You have me really interested in the E-Nano over the SOLO. I was going to message you privately, but I don't know how, and so I'll be asking about the Nano in the Solo thread. So sorry SOLO peeps, but hopefully everyone has a common interest in vapes in general, and won't mind too much.

I'm trying to buy and have a vape shipped out today so it will be here by Saturday. I have other vaporizers that are all great for different occasions (EVO is great for water, great for reclaims and keif - Volcano, Meh - Plenty, for long sessions with a single load and no bags, but temperature on all but the EVO are too low to help my needs, and condensation from water with the EVO takes away that extra bit I need sometimes). So, out of my vapes I do not have a waterless vape that reaches high heat like the EVO. I could try a plain glass piece on the EVO, but I need something always ready, where as the EVO needs a heat soak, a 'Central Location' (where one can sit, have everythng on the table and have a session - not exactly like just chilling with a bowl when you have to be at one location, plus all of the constant leaning). It also powers itself down during sessions, because after a 15 minute heat soak I have 45 minutes left to try to slowly wind down, while having to constantly lean forward to set down and pick the glass back up for a pull. I already have to do basic stirring, but the glass and needing a central area can put a damper on calming down or relaxing in hard times.
I could use the NANO or SOLO in my bed (wall outlet right next to me/my bed), I wouldn't have to lean forward every minute or so of a session, and then have the machine turn off 45 minutes after heat soak. I have major health problems, and too low of a temp on a vape can be hospital time for me if I don't smoke. So, I get the BEST results with high temps.

I was interested in the SOLO because of the test showing extremely high THC and CBD absorption overy Any of the desktop units tested. Once you mentioned the Nano I went to watching reviews. I saw Vapecritic say he really really liked it and he seriously felt like he felt more from the amounts used in the Nano (and no harshness!) if he were to use the same amount in another vape. Please, don't think I'm too irresponsible for rushing, and trying to make sure 'another vaporizer' is here by the end of the week, but if it is much better than the SOLO for homes use, I need to order the Nano or else I may honestly run out by mid next week and be in the hospital, and if I don't vonsrve/run out I have to go to the hospital after 18-36 hours. So, this is honestly a medical situation, and why it seems I am obnoxious with my extremely long messages.

Since I need such high heat, you can see why the NANO interests me (as I need the closest heat to smoking), and to be able to get the massive pulls he was getting from a 0.025 looks very promising for my health and the little money I have for herbs, where as the Nano or Solo may help me stretch it out, and the Vape (either Nano or SOLO) is going on a credit card so I'll have time to pay, where as my medicine/herbs can't go on credit :/ .

Questions: Does the Nano have any odor, taste, or chemicals you can taste or smell from the wood design? What is the benefit of the wood design? I have read about the pathway, and sounds like it is heating with ceramic and stainless steel. I think this is safe, but not sure if there is any off gassing. I had a terrible experience with a box vape from local shop years back and it tasted like pure chemicals. Does the NANO have an improved taste over other vapes? Do you notice the extreme potency out of small amounts I see so many reviewers speak of? Is it easier to take a pull and get strong vapor than the Nano? I'm used to vaporizers and know the need to be very conscious after the device heat soaks, as suddenly the heat can make for a combustion surprise after a thorough heat soak at too high of a temperature. So I saw a guy saying he was still trying to get used to learning how to use his Nano. That drove me away a bit. Isn't it straight forward besides being conscious of heat control, and all that has to be done is simply put herb in the glass, turn the Nano upside down to connect the glass, and then just inhale to vaporize the material, stirring 2-3 times? In the Nano group the one guy seemed to be struggling trying to work it right (even after a week or so), but like I said, I thought it looked simple and straightforward.

I understand the Nano and SOLO are for different occassions, with the SOLO being portable. The recommendation and occassion I need to order for asap is I am looking for the best conserving dry vaporizer I can find, and it is all about purity of the vapor path, ND most of all stretching material, and potency so I don't have to worry about hospital visits or combusting as often. My herbs are very strong, and so the herbs are not an issue of why I want higher heat or another vape etc. At this very moment I do not need a portable, but if it seems to extract more to you, that is what I will go with. If the Nano extracts more, that is what I will go with. I thought perhaps the Nano could decrease draw resistance people speak of with the Solo, but also increase extraction. Any opinions from you are greatly appreciated. I'm amazed by the Nano, and want to order it if the efficiency of this tiny dry vape is true, but I just want to be sure I am making the best purchase for when I need that extra heat, and the most thorough extraction as possible.

Sorry again for so much typing, but I'm hoping this will address all of my concerns so I can make a decision. Thank you so much for your time and help. I really do appreciate it.

My SURF BUDDIES said, "You think too much"!

I have a EVO NANO SOLO always using them to stay = CIVILIZED

Their all so different?

The SOLO is cheap and a great tool for when you have a pressing schedule.

Tell me how you live forever?

I am sorry, I have cognitive problems and do not understand why or what you're asking, as I am in a serious situation. I suppose it would be better to ask a Dr how to live forever.

I also cannot answer your question as to if "Their (they're) all so different?", as I do not own them, or perhaps you inserted a question mark by mistake. My apologies for not understanding.

@Vapor Trails - I have an EVO and a Solo so I know what you mean and what you're getting at. When I'm in bed or in a lounger or in my garage or walking from room to room.....it's all about the Solo and I've been know to finish off at level 7 (highest). If I have time for a slower convection session and can stay in one place....it's all about the EVO.

I don't have a Nano because it doesn't have portability and I already have an EVO if I'm staying put. Yeah - I know the Nano is quicker to use than the EVO but ..... If I weren't feeling well and wanted to move from the bed to the bathroom or living room I'd be glad I had the Solo instead of a Nano.

The downside of the Solo vs. the Nano would be keeping an eye on the charge but since the Solo has unbelievable battery life and I get a heavy hitter that can move with me.....I'm not going it alone...I'm going Solo.

Thanks you for the help, man! So hard to decide, because I could even keep the solo plugged up next to me and use it while charging (which I forgot), and it does heat mega fast vs my desktops, and sometimes I wake up with my heart around 160BPM, and standing up to go to my desktops accelerates my heart rate more from laying, and then I have to wait for them to heat while I am practicallyour falling apart. If either the Nano or Solo were plugged up next to me that would be great. I am too sick to ever leave home. So a portable won't be needed until I go to the beach around December. In other words if the Solo is what gives the deepest extraction I won't have to be too concerned with battery life, because it wold only be used as a portable maybe once a week, unplugged. Do you notice a better extraction from the Nano Vs the Solo?

Edit: My apologies, I just saw where you don't own a Nano, and there I am asking questions about it. I think I may go Solo :)

My Solo is my middle of the night vaporizer. Sometimes I have a pain flair up and can't sleep. It does heat up fast and a new Solo's battery will last for 2+ hours. Sometimes buying a vaporizer is a tough decision. I did PM you @Vapor Trails. The Solo is a great vaporizer and easy to use.

Boy we sure do. Keeps you on edge wonder what he'll do next, doesn't it?

And I consider him a solid 1.0 on the honest enthusiasm scale. Highest score possible.

It's also a good idea to keep an eye on him (and keep him away from the children), much easier to do when you can see him........

And that way we can also define the glass that's safe by virtue of not being near enough to him to be 'in range'.

All in all, a true asset, but a 'two edged sword' worth keeping an eye on.

Sorry to confuse!

Too late for that. Humor is in your nature, a real charm, but I guess it can confuse those who don't know you. Not to worry, they will catch on.......don't go changing on us?

@Vapor Trails - Just so I don't lead you down the wrong path.....using the Solo plugged in is not recommended as a consistent practice since it can cause battery degradation over time....the theory is that it stops and starts the battery charging process often and fast enough to cause battery stress so the battery dies a little sooner. The good news is that if you use it as a portable it's quite awhile before you need to charge it. I've gotten to the point that as soon as my battery level is at 2 or lower I charge it up. You get in tune with the cycle .... had your session, battery can still handle 2 to 3 sessions but I'm going to sleep .... charge it up.

The EVO's hydratube(s) and the Solo seems like
a natural pairing for me . It's my favorite daily combo .
I find it less restrictive then when using the Solo inverted
on other bubblers .

The price for an authentic HT is about the same price
of a New Solo . And since you already have an HT ...

Yeah, it's even easier with 2 x Solo's. Now that I have 2 I have been using 1 of them a few times and the battery might get half or slighly more than half drained, then I will swap to the other solo whilst the first one is charging back up again.

I know this is not going to suit everyone because most people probably only own 1 solo but I am finding it really nifty having the 2 of them.

As I mentioned previously I dont even use my EQ anymore as I just love my solo's so much.

Today I ordered three Solo straight stems from a state away, since I was down to one stem, having broken the second in as many months.

I'm pretty sure there is no ecological reason you shouldn't send it down the drain if that is what you are concerned with?

What are the karmic results of our karmic actions? Where does the non-soluble THC go? Flushed to sanitation to sticky-up the machinery; out to the streams and rivers and fish, shelled or otherwise.

@gangababa - Do you have some place discreet enough to allow the alcohol to evaporate? ... you might actually have a nice gift left over once the ISO evaporates. ...

I can but then I have the stickiness still to dispose. Dumping the alcohol dissolved is easier.

Make some brownies or use cake mix, just mix it in and the alcohol will evaporate when cooking in the oven. I do not see any harm in flushing down the toilet except it is a bit of a waste of good goodness.

I fully favor flowers whole and avoid edibles. l Live in an apartment building where the hall always smells of my kitchen curries or the neighbors' grilling beef. Although a legal state, I best not roast resin.

If you are more concerned with the cleanliness of the stems than with reclaiming the resin ....

My stems clean up spotless so the soaks successfully sparkle my stems. Easily! Amber alcohol flushes easily, or may leave a stubborn ring.

@gangababa you can get a little alcohol stove and use it to keep your tea hot. ...

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner. i will sell my super stove lamp alcohol blend to trekkers and travelers, or donate it to the local homeless camps.

The first is easy to answer. Ask yourself how you feel about a friend that gives you THC for free? Why would Mother Earth feel any different about this?

The second is even easier if the goal is to dispose of it. Pour the alcohol/reclaim out on a paper towel (on a sheet of plastic wrap to be thorough.....) and evaporate the ISO off, roll the sticky paper towel up in the not sticky plastic wrap and Bob's your uncle?
