Do the tubes fit in the PD or MZ? And vice versa?

I have thought about getting another log vape since the stems are like 3 x $45

Since the Woodeez has such a fast turn around I was considering it, but it only makes sense if I can mix all 6 stems up

I would think they would, but I don't have a PD. I just got my WDZ and love it, and yes, the fast turn around was what sold me. Just email Todd, he'll answer any questions you have. His customer service is very good.

I asked when he was first dropping the WDZ, and he was reluctant to give an answer.

Just wondering if someone has both.

I "Think" I remember reading somewhere, sometime

that the MDZ stems fit into PD but the PD stems don't fit in the MDZ

not positive on this though, but think I did read that somewhere

Just curious but what do you guys think of glass stems? Do you think they would be better than the nylon? Or what about wood stems? I have Never tried the wood or glass myself.

How do you think cleaning would be for the two. I imagine iso wouldnt be good for the wood. Yet, woulnt the glass get real hot?

Just clean it like a wood pipe, with pipe cleaners and a poker. You guys are over thinking the cleaning issue, people have been smoking out of wood pipes for thousands of years and these stems are not going to be any different.

The wood stems don't have to be 'Spotless Clean', since you are vaporizing instead of smoking you will have sweet smelling vaporhoney in the stem instead of the stinky tar resin you would get from smoking.

Before switching to vapor, I used a little wooden flip top pipe for many, many years. The stem hole is just the size for an ISO soaked pipe cleaner, and that's what I used. ISO has not degraded the wood, made the hole larger, etc. You don't soak wood in ISO, but it's fine to clean with pipe cleaners and cotton swabs. I used honey to glaze the bowl when I first got the pipe, and I've used ISO soaked swabs to clean it hundreds of times through the years. I could give this pipe to someone and I'm sure it would last a smoker's lifetime, with daily use and the same cleaning regimen.

Thats really good info Stink & Max, yes cleaning the wooden tubes arent that big of a deal, with the removable inserts, they can be soaked, then the tubes can be cleaned using hefty cotton pipe cleaners, I send a couple with every tube.

Right. For that matter, Ed, I wonder if it's even necessary that tips be removable if the tube can be cleaned out starting from the other end with an ISO soaked Q tip?

hm, good question, I cant see where the tip would even make a difference if you were to go that route, am I wrong?

Interesting.... I do like the non removable tip wood tube alot, I can live without the ability to harvest gunk out of it for edibles or whatever.
One thing I like about FC is that at its best it's a think tank focused on the evolution of vaporizing.

No kidding, since I have been here I feel that I have gained so much info that would take me years to find without the internet at my disposal.

I've been reading about the difference in stem sizes and also wonder If they were interchangeable. I own a Walnut Woodeez, and just got a MZ. I can use the MZ stems on my WDZ so that works great, but the WDZ stems won't fit inside the heating port of the MZI imagine is the same for the PD stems.so far my Woodeez has perform well above my expectations. I found it easy the operate and it has been great fun

OK just received my walnut tube from ed's tnt tube and I find it to be awesome to say the least. My friend who had also purchased two is quite satisfied as well. With the order I received two pipe cleaners, business card, stem, bowl for stem, and brief instructions. My friend how ever had a slightly larger order than mine and got hooked up by ed. He even got a walnut wooden pipe and some extra screens. We thought that was really cool. Ed had great customer service, I even spoke with him on the phone. Our only minor gripe about it was that the instructions seemed a bit cryptic, but that may have just been us. I have to say that this minor purchase has greatly increased my infinite adornment for my Woodeez.

Just got a beautiful Maple unit in the mail. Awesome cut of wood too.

Already have a PD and the WDZ is just as pretty. All of the good things I could say about my trusty PD I could say about my WDZ. I know I need to have let this unit break in for a few months to see what it is really made of but it is really true love all over again looking into the box and seeing that pretty little wood unit looking back at you.

My only complaint is with the wax that came with it. It was a little too waxy. I made my own buzz butter stuff that I put on the PD and will put on this unit. It is more of a shea butter/beeswax/oil that really melts to the touch, and the wood just soaks it up and looks great.

Really impressed so far with the WDZ. I will come back in a month or so when it is broken in and I put some miles on it and give a full review.

To get thr wax real oily i let top of the wax can sit on the WZ face down to heat it up. It then applies easy.

I am not sure you got what I am saying, unless you have a vastly different batch of wax. BTW like I said I have made organic wax & lotion so I am speaking from experience. It is too WAXY - Rather than a butter. Application is not the problem, its the film it leaves. Other log vapes have a more buttery mix that is more oily and absorbs rather than sits on top.

Regardless nice unit.
