Absolutely. It'll work fine as an essential oil diffuser, and without the vapor tube in evidence, no one will question that it's just that and nothing more.
Thanks max for the advice!

Hello, I have just spent some time looking through the posts and really like looking at your work here with WDZ. I got a Zap a while back. I didn't even know that such things existed. I have been working wood for a while and really like the things we are able to create from Mother Nature. I like that you use Walnut, I find it to be some of my most figured pieces. Walnut is said to be the finest wood north America has. I like the curvy shaped one that is posted in pics here. I dig the shapes, I was wondering if I would ever see that. There is so much you can do with a log that was wondering why I only saw one design that everyone seemed to be using.

You have done very nice work!
Love your stem's Ed. The wooden ones are awesome. I have a question for everyone and I was just thinking back to when I played competitive paintball and we used to die to our marker's grips we used, using RIT die and HOT water. Could someone RIT die one of their white (mysterious plastic) stem if done correctly?

Ed- Thanks for the compliment. I have made a couple of custom ones for friends that have look like hourglasses. I also made one that looks like a mini Silver Surfer to compliment my buddies collection. (He has a couple of ssv's)
I really like your work. Very nice. I HAVE to get one of your wooden tubes in the near future.

PbMagnet- I dont think that RIT dye is a good idea. I'm pretty sure that it would work to color the nylon, but I would think that the dye would leach out when you clean the tubes making the reclaimed stuff tainted. I personally wouldnt try it.

Vaproist- Woodeez are currently not being shipped internationally, but I'm looking into what really needs to be addressed as far as international sales and hope to be offering them to everyone eventually.

Just ordered a Woodeez! My current vape is an Extreme-Q, and I couldn't be happier with it, but I've been interested in these type of vapes for a while now, I just had to order it haha. Very excited to get it, I just hope I don't ignore my Extreme too much lol.

I think Im going to get one of these! Just reading through this thread at the moment and once I'm done hopefully my indeciciveness(sp i'm sure) will disappear by the time I'm done! What I've read so far is very promising and I am VERY glad that Todd will ship to Canada! Also, not having to wait a long time is fantastic too!

I'm loving the artistic look of these more than anything else and hope if I decide to go the woodeez way I get a pretty peice to admire!

I look forward to dealing with Todd as I understand that he is nice to work with on a personal level and works with you for any custom stuff you might want!

Well, back to reading for now...I'll be back here with questions Im sure!

Ok done reading. I think that the Woodeez is the best option for me!

Couple questions before I place my order...

I read a few people saying the stem is not quite snug with whatever its called you stick it into...has this been a problem for anyone to the point of it being annoying?

Question about stem use...During an average session are you guys using the same stem and repacking it multiple times? or are you say loading 3 different stems and going throu them that way? Whats the main reason for needing 3 stems? Do they get dirty fast? Basically I'm considering swapping one of the stems that comes with it for a shorty just in case I wasnt to do a tube/bong setup. Is it worth getting the shorty now in the off chance I will do that or should I just stick with the three standard and order a shorty if/when the need arises?

Todd, are there any customization options available when you go through checkout? I started the process just to see if I could pick Canada as the destination but didn't see anything in there. I was hoping to be able to maybe set a dark/light wood preference as well as maybe swapping one of the stems for a shorty. Also, do you still offer $10 discount for FC members?

I'm really excited to place my order for a beautiful peice of wood and can't wait to do so.

Can't think of any other q's right now so where is that submit button.....oh yes...there it is.

It's not designed to be a tight fit and it's not an issue at all.

Multiples come in handy with multiple users, and you can load all 3 just for yourself if you want. You don't need 3, but it's nice to have extras.

It is loose, but it has never ever bothered me in the slightest sense. It makes no problems and what I tend to do with a stem that has keif, is to rotate it so all the edges get as hot as possible.

With the WDZ I generally go through two stems per sesh. I have a bit of a tolerance but my WDZ does the job, it's not my big hitter, but it's my conservation and easy-to-use vape. Seriously, I go through period where I try to save so I only use my WDZ and I save a lot of money!

I have cleaned my stems once so far in the six months I've had them and that's because they were in a box with a bunch of loose ABV and the ABV got into the inhaling end. Go for a shorty, I ended up measuring, cutting and sanding one stem for use in a bong. Also if you want good bong hits, get a 13.5 V power supply somewhere. I have one and it's necessary for using with a bong.

I know Todd does custom orders, I'd email him if I we're you.

It's a great vape, I've loved it since I received it! :D

I use my PD with my bong all the time and just use the stock 12v power supply. Why would the WDZ be any different in this regard?

It works, but I barely notice the vapor, like it loses its flavor. At the time I didn't have much money so I ordered the 13.5v adapter, once I tried it I was quite pleased :ko:

Interesting...I guess I will go for the two stems plus a shorty. I almost always vape alone so I don't really need multiple stems for that purpose...and while I don't know if I'll even attach it to a bong setup for sure...I think having it there just in case is a good idea.

And Iwein you find that you dont have to go to the 13.5 to get good hits in the PD eh? Interesting and good to hear..I'd like to hear from other Woodeez users who attach to bongs and see how they like their results with the stock adapter. ( I really would prefer to not run it hotter than is truly designed for)

from my experience i prefer using the 12v adaptor with my wdz over the 13.5 even when using the bong. the temp is higher with the 13.5 so the vape high puts me to sleep  the 13.5 is great for using with 3+ ppl or revaping abv ect. but i can still whitewall my 12" tube with the 12v, it just took a month or two to really "break in" to the point where it was perfect.

Yup. I too can white wall my beaker with enough vapor to get me coughing while still running cool enough so as not to get that burn popcorn taste and retain all that goodness in the bud. For me, there was never a question of wanting my vape to run warmer than it already was.

Noisy, shoot me an email and I'll take care of you as far as wood choice and tubes. There really isnt any reason to run a 13.5v. It works quite well with the 12v.

I appreciate your compliment as well, its a lota work to do what we do and to hear kind words from others makes it all worth while. I do hope you will let me know when you buy a TnT and I will make sure you get you fixed up. I have a few flavors available now and hope to increase the variety in time. I have some sweet chunks of various burls stashed away and have some outstanding rare exotics on the way.

Thanks again and pls holla at me anytime!

Just placed my order for one of these kikass Woodeez!

Todd was awesome to deal with and answered all my questions very quickly. I'm highly stoked to recieve this little gem...I can't wait! And I just know Canada post is gonna take their sweet time with it though...:(

I worry about my 'Cano though...I hope her feelings won't be too hurt with a new sibling around...

Now to go have a look at clear dome's stuff...I saw what appeared to be a glass stem for these log vapes..gotta look into that sweetness now!

Also gonna check out Ed's for some nice wood stuff to match...not sure what Ill get but I'm thinking maybe a nice wooden container or two ;)

So excited!:D

I thought id share my vaping methods to the WZ noobies.
Tools :
Shorty Stem fits 14.5mm EHLE down-stem (water pipe or "bong").
As an extra bonus I prefer to use passion tea for extra flavor, and clean up is easy because their is no sugar.
Amount of thick vapor hits: 2 and 1 mild.
Medium stem for the dry hits for when I am in a hurry.
Amount of thick vapor hits: 3-5 depending on how it is packed and the quality of product.
(Just like a car, when you wanna get the most out of it you want to use premium. In this case I suggest only the highest of quality of product for Woodeez.)
Two different film canisters (get them usually for free at CVS), one for your ABV, and another for your product.
Loading :
For this method I suggest sucking through the stem creating a vacuum to gather the product, once you have suction dip the tip of the stem into the canister with the product, and suck up a good portion into the tip. Don't stop there, what you do next is continue sucking through the straw and draw your index finger to the tip of the stem. Once your index finger is over the stem (your still creating suction by the way) tip your head or the steam back to around a 45 degree angle and set your stem down vertically, or how ever you so choose. The stem is now loaded and your ready for lift off :brow:
Drawing :
Here comes the fun part of the roller-coaster ride know as the Woodeez. Picture yourself on the tallest wooden roller-coaster, and this whole time you've been climbing to the rickety top. Right over the horizon you know your going to have the time of your life so throw your hands up! (not literally). Log style vapes have their own quirky lingo and around here a "hit" is called a "draw." From here you pick up the stem you so daringly packed, and like the mighty Excalibur you insert the tip into the almighty stone (or vape). I personally prefer to vape at 45 degree angle just to avoid any bits falling into the heat exchanger, and if any do you turn it over and you tape that black... bottom? Anyways hakuna matata it all falls out easy as pie, but I like to avoid the possibility of that. Take a long deep breath and slooooowllyyyy inhale and let the vapors caress your soul. The over all feeling is much like drinking a milk-shake. After I say around five good seconds pull the sword from the stone, but be sure your still slowly inhaling so you get a good mix of vapor and oxygen in those tar free little organ bags inside your chest. After your satisfied with your vapor cocktail, let out all your stress and worries into your now care free environment. All I can say now is, head-rush. Your rollercoaster has now shot you 200mph and your having the time of your life! Pat yourself on the back for being such a badass, because well, if you have a WZ that automatically puts you in the category.
Emptying :
Alright so youve got this down, easy as pie, or should I say high? Time for another you say, so empty out that stem into your specified film canister for your abv. Just like the Simpsons episode (some may have seen) you give it the old tapa tapa tapa against the sides of the canister real fast. If all doesn't come out you can use a thumbtack for maximum cleaning, although not truly necessary.
Conclusion :
Satisfaction is key, and now your comfortably vaked out of your mind. With that I leave you with no more advice other than do what you do best and do it better than anybody else.

It's here!!

There was a surprise when I got home after work yesterday...My Woodeez arrived!

The pics are shots of the entire package. I was quite happy when I opened the box. No frills with the packaging just straight up "vape in box". There wer no instructions though thats fine cause all the info I needed was right here!

Contained 1 log, 1 adapter, 3 stems, 1 aroma cup.

First impressions: Looks great, and simple. Is heavier than I thought it would be which is nice. The dark brown wood looks awesome...what kind of wood is it again?

I only had enough time to try one really quick stemfull last night but so far so good! I wasn't blown away or anything but it seemed to work well. Once I use it for a few days I 'll be able to form more of an opinion about the unit.

I just noticed when looking at my pics that in the first one it loos like there is some sort of screen over the heat exchanger? Is this the case or just a trick of the light? Because right now there is no screen or anything...did I drop it without even knowing there should be one there in the first place?

Anyhow the unit is idling at home right now waiting for me to arrive from work...can't wait to do a full sesh with this thing.

Thanks Todd!
DO I SEE A SCREEN IN THE TUBE AT THE TOP OF THE UNIT?

Does the WDZ retain heat after coming to temperature and then being unplugged for any amount of time?

If so, for how long about?
