Just send and provide tracking #. In a week or 2 you will have her back.

@Yoosh
Glass capsules??????????????????????
Point me in that direction, please.

RBT contacted me himself through PM and I already shipped her off and supplied them with tracking. Most likely a rare soft short issue he said. I will have it back in no time!

I ordered one through planetvape. Is it ok to leave the battery in when not in use for like 10 minutes, or do I have to remove it and store it separately when not using? I mean there is no power when the button is not pressed right?

You can do that no problem, just be careful that the button is not accidentally being pressed in any way or put in your pocket like that. I would not, however, leave the battery in the unit for any extended period of time, or if there is any chance of that button getting accidentally pressed.

Yes, perfectly safe as long as the Mi is not in position to be triggered without your knowledge, for example in a pocket or case where the button might depress without your knowledge.

Edit: @justvapin on the ball!

Received my @DDave kit today. I was hoping I would be lucky. Sadly, not today. The only thing that actually works at the moment are the large basket screens in SOME of my RBT stems.

The 18-14MM reducer is at least 2 mm ABOVE the rim of the intake. It rides on the screen and wobbles like crazy. I think it would work if it had about 3 MM shaved off of it. Then the 14mm stems would work fine.

The 18mm stem does not fit either, it also bottoms out and wobbles in the joint. Almost seems like the diameter of the 18mm joint is too small on this stem?

I can use the baskets on some of the RBT stems I have, but not all. That is not bothersome in the least, glad they work on some of those stems anyway.

Not the least bit upset about any of this. I knew when I ordered it was in beta, and I know Dave is working on the issues and will make it right. If I had the reducer most of this kit would work, with the exception of the 18mm stem. To make it whole, a reducer with shorter joint and an 18mm stem that fits is all that is needed.

I'm wondering if some Milaanas have 'shallower' bowls than others.
I refer here to the distance between heater screen and the lip of the female joint.
I'm thinking this as of the two stems supplied with my Mi, only the short one fit.
The long one rested on the heater screen and didn't seal in the female joint.
I just received another long stem which was very kindly sent to me by SteamfunQ.
Sadly it doesn't fit either.
I think I can correct this, but if these stems fit in other Milaanas that leads me to the conclusion that there must be different bowl depths out there (might be just the two of us though!).

The weird thing is that when side by side the ground glass portion of the male joints are exactly the same length, so the joints on the long stems that I have tried must be slimmer than the one on the short stem which fitted fine.

I am waiting for some stems from @RastaBuddhaTao and will report back when they get here.

I freakin' LOVE this vape despite this difficulty.
I'm confident that I'll find a solution :science:

It is apparent there is a difference from one unit to the next. Also seems that the diameter of these joints is not too consistent either.

Well @DDave I made a little bandaid for my 18-14 female reducer. I took 2 rolling papers. They are the Elements rice thin rolling papers. I keep them folded in half and wrap around the outer part of the reducer. I make sure the paper isn't touching the bottem screen of the heater.

Ok so now that I've explained my cheesy tweak. I must say that the 14 mm stem is a total beast. It's like the 18 mm has been fine tuned almost. The small load in that little top hat screen is on point. I'm going to figure out a permanent fix out or I'm going to continue using it like this. Damn I love the mi. Damn I'm slobbering in love with the Ddave 14mm kit. Wow.

Exactly how I felt with the LSV and his LSV mod! He sure makes some incredible stuff. You go @DDave !

I'll get my hands on one as soon as the beta testing is finished and everything is worked out. Can't wait!

I personally don't mind, but do you guys think we should move DDave discussion to a separate thread? That way we can get more specific through this beta process and really troubleshoot the issue. I don't think it would be an issue to talk about it here as well, as people mention his mods in almost every thread that they're related to, but maybe through this beta process and mod specific questions it would be helpful :)

Have a, let's call my "brother-in-law", combusted, knows lots of ppl has a friend who grows large scale. He brought me a nice size bag full, looked a bit to "fluffy", could tell tha it was not No. Cali bud. Probably combusts ok, but my Mi is struggling extracting, can only mean one thing, not much to extract.

Of course I had to dump it and make sure all was well, first hit on real herb, faith restored

Nice job RBT...

I haven't had the chance to get all 14mm... Maybe later. :science:

I did the same thing, but used an o-ring to get a decent seal (in no way a solution) but allowed me to just now try the 14mm micro dose, and damn.......can't really say it any better than you did!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!! Need to get the adapter fixed as soon as possible, this kicks ass!!! I wish I could cut it down a few MM, I think that would do the trick.

It works, and it works well. I did find that the added complexity of the circuit changed the resistance, so I actually had to up the voltage to get good results. 5v is actually perfect, coming in at just a hair more powerful than a fresh battery.

It's pulling a hair over 9A at that voltage.

The fake battery itself is pretty crude. I just cut a dowel to length and then sloppily used the bandsaw to cut a space for the cord out. Then I put a screw and finish washer in as a connector for the cord. I had to add a couple of washers to the assembly to leave room for the cord.

tumblr_ob3oovQj001qb9a09o5_250.jpg

It works, and it was super easy to make. I'm pretty happy with it. After more more testing I'm definitely going to make a version 2, with a nice fit and finish. Even going to add a proper voltage nob to the box, with a safe min and max voltage.

Edit: And as if my day wasn't great already, @Alan just sent me this picture of my two new stems!

Great stuff, ZC.

Seeing this is making me think about getting a Milaana just to incorporate this mod.

I know, amazing @ZC and I know we still need to get together Stu so you can just try the damn thing for yourself (and Zion betas... To have that and Milaana turn into a plug in unit so easily is so awesome) Don't worry it's still on my mind to get out to you eventually... Still settling in over here ;)

People asking about PlanetVape sales, I believe that is entirely up to them, not RBT :2c:

Pretty damn sweet @ZC. I'm picking up a Milaana next week. Are you gonna make a bunch of these and sell them to other Milaana owners?

My second Mi arrived the other day. She's OK and seems to perform at least as well as her older sister, but I too noticed the difference in the F-GonG that @WakeAndVape mentioned. I think my first one (pretty early pre-order) was a little rougher around the edges, but I sanded her down and gave her some beeswax/coconut oil soon after I got her. She is a beauty and smooth as can be.

Was a little surprised when I pulled the new one out of the box. Tool mark on the base, and a bit of a ridge here and there where it connects to the body. The joint where they mate is certainly much better. But, the reason for my surprise was that I've seen reports here that fit and finish had been worked out through better techniques and QC. I did take advantage of the ongoing special for Zion pre-orderers, so maybe I didn't get one as good as others are? I don't know. It's fine, I got a great price and I'd love it even if it looked worse. I'm going to sand and buff her up before putting a little finish on - and probably would have anyway. But, it seems like she could have been made nearly perfect (at least the ridge and tool mark could have been worked out ) with about another minute on the finish sander.

Hate to rain on all the love here, it is still a totally fucking amazing vape! But, doesn't seem like things are quite where i thought they were yet. And, I waited a while to let them iron out problems before ordering. If you want a perfectly worked second one, you may want to wait a bit longer.

My bigger concern is the green battery. At first I was psyched because I think it is one of the newer 25R's I read about not too long ago. But honestly, I don't know too much about 18650s. It seems to perform at least as well as my yellow HE4's with little testing and no re-charges. The battery has a green wrap on it, no printed numbers I can see and a foil label with the numbers on it. So, is this a knock-off, or re-wrap? It looks exactly like this one - same foil label and all:

Chronic vapaholic
Prolly a 25R. Check the positive side, should be triangular and less protruding than on the HE4. It's the reference cell at the moment. Some people prefer it over the HE4, but I find them equivalent.

You could remove the label to see if it covers the ID numbers, but if you look closely under a strong light you should see other markings somewhere under the green wrap.
