next generation e-nails?

I still don't know how I should decide between 16 or 20 coils... Flat or round?
I am going with the Boss and don't know which options to get.

Eventually, I'd like a liger but will likely start with Boss's simple quartz banger.

I think you may as well get a 20mm barrel coil unless you've decided you want a flat coil for a hybrid nail. If you're gonna use a banger then you're gonna want a barrel unless Boss has some strange design I haven't seen.

First I will take a chinese set with flat coil and quartz hybrid instead of a pure Ti. Seems to me not the worst choice.

Quality of Ti doesnt matter cause of the quartz dish, Later we'll see.

I like the absolutely tight connection of a flat coil. Seems to me safest in handling

D-Nail says about their SiC Halo: Uses ONLY D-NAiL® Flat Coil Heaters

I there an objective reason? Dont other (chinese) flat heater coils fit to the SiC Halo?

I dont believe so. If that still should be the reason, what is the size of the D-Nail flat heater coil?

Everywhere I'm reading the best about the SiC Halo. Perhaps I'll give it a chance to mate my future chinese units, maybe in combination with the Sapphire insert?

Im have used an auberins flat coil and a amazon flat coil with my sic without any issues whatsoever for a year

its marketing, plain and simple

You aren't doing it wrong. The sapphire is intended to be an insert to dab off of and in the description on the d nail site they actually say not to remove the insert until the nail is fully cool though many of us do. Bubbleman came up with the thermal radiation style hits with the sapphire as he's a big fan of e nail screen hits. Both methods work great! I, however, don't suggest using the sapphire as a conduction surface in the Infiniti head as it was originally intended as oil always gets trapped between the insert and the dish causing vapor trails for minutes after a hit and subsequent hits taste like ass.
I actually wanna come back to this and say that while I prefer conductive use of sapphire inserts to convective use on the halos, that I have to agree with this post. The infiniti with sapphire insert is just no good IME. The problem is the sapphire insert is too narrow to hold much of a dab. Dialling in temps with conductive inserts always takes trial and error and we will usually have major problems with trails til we get the temp dialled in for adequate heat to get to the sapphire. However, the small size of the infiniti dish and way too small size of the infiniti sapphire insert means that if your dab has any real weight to it, it's gonna melt all over the place and make a mess, inevitably boiling on titanium parts of the nail that are too hot due to the extra heat needed to warm up the sapphire - like Milehighlife said, it tastes like ass when this happens. Infiniti's in general are not good for full melt dabbing too IME, even the large dish is too small and it's too easy to miss the floor of the dish altogether and pour beautiful hash down the centre hole of the nail!

Of course, the v1 sapphire inserts are considerably larger sapphire surface areas to dab on. My v1 flat ti dish with v1 sapphire insert is much nicer to dab on than even the SiC halo! The caveat remains a little that you should stay away from gargantuan dabs on the v1 sapphire insert with v1 flat dish as they can still melt onto non sapphire parts, but small-medium dabs are great on this setup and it is the nicest way I've tried for sapphire flavor without getting a sapphire halo!

Just got word that the SiC Halo's are finally back in stock after a long wait!

I got one, I really like it, and much prefer it to the TI Halo/Sapphire Insert setup I had prior. The taste is out of this world......maybe I should try lowering the temp on the TI.....

I'm rocking the SiC dish at 650 with a VapeCode (china) coil.....some of the best dabs I've ever had, truly makes all my concentrates taste amazing

I will be beta testing the new liger 3.0 series, leaning towards getting both the flat coil version as well as the 20mm coil style

also I will be testing the new hurricane carb cap as well as the updated storm cell...

couple weeks out - will update when they arrive!

Just ordered a bottle of DarkCrystal Glass cleaner to use on my Halos after someone posted good results on the D-Nail Facebook group (pic below). I'm gonna try it on my old gunked up Quartz, my newer one and my Sapphire and post the results. I'm guessing similar glass cleaning products may work well too, main downside for this was the shipping was as much as a large bottle (CAD$25)

I'll hopefully know myself in a few days. For cleaning nails it will last an extremely long time especially since you can reuse it.

Please review! Ok, possibility of reusing makes it cheaper.

Kelp? I guess they use kelp ashes. Will be used for glass and soap for a long time.

Does anybody know the shop herbo?
Why do they can offer products from D-Nail for half the price??

Wow, they really do. Does anyone have an answer to this? They are literally half price.

Also, I use an Auber RDK-200 and an amazon Aicooo or whatever coil with my Dnail Slim series and SiC dish. Works great.

Take a look at the rest of the site and you'll have your answer. It's the beginnings of a webstore that never came to be.

I have a Dnail control unit now but Ive owned a bunch of enails. Dont waste your money on Dnail. They all work about the same. I havent seen any better temperature control out of my $300 Dnail compared to my $70.00 Auber (Or whatever they cost now). I had another unit from Terpz and it was right on par with the other two.

Anyone have a recommendation for a outlet shutoff timer that has the ability to shut off in less than 30 minutes in case I forgot to turn the Gimido off?
