...convection vapes are not for everybody...(yet )..it's possible the technology will evolve so that these types of units appeal and satisfy all consumers...it's possible it will not...I doubt the firefly will ever satisfy every perceived vaping desire..so what..for what it does...it is outstanding.

I like the idea of on demand vaping, currently use a pen for concentrates, like to be mobile. Looking for something for flowers, I have a MFLB for flower but want something better. That's why I'm looking at the FF2. Never had a good experience with the Pax, don't own one, but have been passed one a few times. Also tried a DaVinci ascent? wasn't impressed either.

You might want to research for 5 minutes of your own posts because you could have fooled me.

I know what I said and what I think, not gonna argue with you. As I said I'm not the only one with this issue and almost all of the people with the same issue are in the US, so your point is totally invalid.

Now do what you want, I'm not gonna continue with this.

The issues with the FF2 are there but they really don't relate to the function of the vaporizer at all. Battery meter broken(should be fixed soon), no external charger included(now being sold online)---

Just to clarify, I believe this item now being sold online for the FF2 specifically is a (wall-)charging box for the USB cord, connected to the charging dock (read: NOT an external charger). I WIIIIISH they had an external charger: I have been plowing through these batteries and unfortunately have been having issues with one in particular. I believe leaving on the charger overnight might be at the root of this problem, but there's hardly a chance for me to charge a freshly emptied brick as I need the unit - not being used - to charge, on the slow charging dock (I know, I know...getting a 2.0/2.4 charging brick in the mail any day now). Lord knows that external charger is useful!

You're taking most of the blow, @b0. There have certainly been others, but you post a lot here. Frequently and at length so it makes you vulnerable. You seem smart and I'm sure you can handle the heat. I think we all need to take a step back, remember it's an internet forum for a VAPORIZER (as @mitchgo61 said something about 'horror stories!?!?!' for vape issues), and that from the outside it's starting to get heated. I think the Europe/US stipulation is more or less causing a reaction (for me, I'll take ownership here as this is MY opinion) because we all know by now--the email response time SUCKS. Majorly. And I agree--2016, x amount of $, etc--Email is so EASY and fast. They're lacking in that department of customer service. BUT, what I will and others will reiterate, is that their TELEPHONE side of CS is outstanding. Absolutely. They even bumped my shipping up to 2-Day for issues with them shipping out my 1st unit in a timely manner). When they couldn't answer something they went above and beyond to contact me back with more info they could not retrieve at the time of the phone call. Additionally, every single time I've had inquiries, problems, etc., I get either Taylor or Max on the line from Sales and they help me 100% of the time.

Now, what sucks is the phone charges for you. But I'm telling you, man, stateside, the best results have been via PHONE. I've experienced it. Others have literally written their experience.

The external charger for the FF1, which plugs into the wall (you need the wall wart from FF1 or elsewhere, I don't think the charger itself comes with it if I recall correctly), works for the FF2 batteries as well. I have never charged my batteries in the FF2 itself.

Yup. Hoping to get my hands on that FF1 external charger. I'd imagine they'll consider reproducing an external, but maybe they'll just stop with the charging dock.

I'm sorry, I thought they still had them on the FF site or elsewhere, but I see it is not there anymore and out of stock most places.....I misunderstood , my apologies. Good look on your search.

Just FYI, I was on the Firefly website to order some replacement concentrate pads, (Don't do it by the way...the shipping costs as much as the pads and vendors like Vape Society have free shipping) and noticed that there is no longer an external charger for sale. Bummer!

I'm glad you made that choice since continuing to complain about an unresolved issue is against the rules. If you do get a resolution that you would like to share, you're welcome to do so.

Firefly, if you're out there listening: you need to make glass concentrate pads. Please and thank you. :luv:

Conjuring up some nice visuals, @jay87. Gotta be ceramic glass or something strong enough to not weaken from long, steady exposures of straight-up, 500 degrees.

I think that thanks to @mitchgo61 this is gonna be sorted out soon, but if it doesn't I will make a call next week. Right now I'm on holidays on Spain but if I go back to Scotland without a solution I will just call them.

As I said a few times I really think that they will take care of me, is just the long wait what is bothering me.

No bad feelings with any members by the way, nothing personal here guys for me fc is like a big family and in all families sometimes things get heated :)

Great to hear.

By the way there are Firefly external chargers out there (July 28th, 2016). For those looking who need...search further ;)

I was calling attention to this snippet from our forum rules:

Posts in this regard will be evaluated based on perceived intent.

Also, I want to point out this other part of the forum rules:
Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.
If you feel someone is breaking the rules or causing some kind of problem, don’t try to deal with it yourself. Use the Report feature located at the bottom of each post.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions or concerns.

After a very long time, I should be getting my FF2 soon! Since I will frequently be using it by myself, outside, it seemed like this is by far the best option. I dunno, other than the vapexhale and flowermate, I have not used any other vape.

But it seems like the benefits of on demand vaping is too great to pass up. Excited to get and try it out. Also one of the reasons I went with it is due to how much less odor it produces. I would like to be able to use it in the cinema.

Good news guys!! Customer service got in contact with me and I'm gonna have to send my unit but I'm more than happy with it. That way they can test everything (vape and batteries) and I should have a perfect working unit at some point.

Just answered them and I'm waiting to the shipping address and how they want it shipped. Hope it doesn't take as long this time. To be honest I'm gonna miss having this vape around...

If you use it in the toilets shoul be ok. In the cinema itself I think it depends of how crowded it is, the unit itself has a "light" and you need a few seconds to take a proper hit so if you have someone close or by your side they gonna probably see you. But if the cinema is half empty and you sit in a good spot it should be totally ok ;)

So I'm reading some horror stories about the FF2 here.
How many have issues and how many love it and recommend it?
Thx

I love it. I have three new types of vape this year (FF2, GH and Crafty) and have been a long time volcano user. I need some more time with each to see how things shake out but the FF2 may be my favorite overall. The FF2 + Crafty, in particular, really compliment each other. It would be an epic battle between them, if I had to choose only one vape. The only downside I see after months of use is the unevenness to the extraction which requires annoying stirring. Otherwise, the FF2 provides the most enjoyable vaping experience I've had to date--even with no further firmware updates and even if I couldn't access the mobile app and had to use it stock, med-high.

I'm getting the impression from a few cases here that they are either overloaded or generally lacking in the customer support department. That sucks and I won't make any excuses for them. They need to resolve it and hopefully they will when they catch up on orders. Compared to the crafty and GH, the rate of complaints and failure seems incredibly low for the FF2. (For comparisons sake only. I realize that's neither saying much nor justification for anything.)

edit: great to hear @b0

@b0

The CS after the FF1 launch was superb. You can surf through that thread and see how just about everyone raved about the service they received, either by phone or email. I have no idea why things seem to be bottlenecking lately...my guess is they sold way more 2's than they thought, and like all small businesses, it's "be careful what you wish for" because success can bring with it a lot of volume you may not be ready for. This is guesswork on my part...I have no idea why some users are experiencing this. Hopefully FF is aware of it and working on getting some extra staff to help out.

Ironically the FF1 had a higher failure rate, so I'm assuming they sold a lot fewer of those than the 2's. From everything I've heard from both FF and the user community the 2 overall is much more stable, especially regarding the heating coil. This doesn't help you if you're a user with a problem and can't get a response, but it certainly lowers the number of folks who even bother to contact customer service.

The portable vape world is never boring, no matter which side of the transaction you are on.

Repeated 'nothing' posts just praising the product/company would not be allowed, but offensive posts about the product/company, or repeated negative posts, would be addressed sooner. You can get your point across, good or bad, without breaking the rules. Many people manage to stay within the lines here, for years. It's not that difficult.

That answer your question? If not I suggest rereading Stu's post above, from yesterday, or a review of the rules, and a response here would be considered a violation of one.

The glue on the rubber seal of My FF2 lid is coming of and rubber is half way off. Any suggestions on what type of glue to use to glue it back or would just have to buy a brand new lid everytime something like this happens?

I have a FF2 now for about two weeks. I am usually vaping alone and really love this thing. One thing. don't care for is having to stir the bowl. To those that are using less than a full bowl with a screen, or concentrate pad on top does this alleviate having to stir the bowl?

Thanks.
