Usually when I load my ground cannabis I give it a little tap, it stays in place pretty well in the stem. When you heat up cannabis it will stick together somewhat because of the resin. I load my stem while turning my Solo up side down. Then I turn everything right side up.

I like the vapor taste with the all glass air path without screens too. You just need a more coarse grind. That way material doesn't dirty the stem.

Hello all. Glad everyone is enjoying the Air. I love it. I own both the Solo and Air, I use the Air on the go and my Solo for home. I personally like the Solo better, I get better clouds and flavor. Imo but the Air does the job when I'm out and about. As of recently I sadly have been vapeless due to me breaking my stems and never replacing them. I had 4, the 4 stock stems that came with the units when I initially bought them. Would anyone know where I can get some replacements? I live in New York. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

First off, howdy! Welcome to the Forum and all the fun. Having both Solo and Air I guess you don't need recommendations for vapes.........

I suggest you simply order the stems you want from Randy at PIU. They are a strong supporter of FC and have Customer Service second to none. Ten bucks each, shipped for whatever you want. PIU is fast, order today and I'm sure your parts will be in the outgoing USPS tomorrow. Good folks, they'll do right by you:

Sometimes when im lazy i just trow my glass in the dishwasher, top job.
For a quick clean heat the stem and wedge some tissue paper in the bowl and twist.
This is great for a clean tasty bowl in a hurry.
Very nice ideal!
I need to clean this piece after medicating.

@ataxian Is that your Enano GonG? Have you broken all your Solo GonGs? That won't work or will it?

You should get a whip set up like this. @Ed's TnT made the fittings for the mouthpiece and WonG. It's easy to use outside or laying on the couch. I just lay my Solo on its side.

Edit
I like the Vortex stems too. @PlanetVape rocks. Love, love their PVHES mouthpieces.

My GonG'S are all broken even this one.
The ED's WonG I blew it and ordered a stem too short for my NANO so I was afraid to have a WonG for the SOLO made.

Glass part's is what I use.
I break so many glass pieces I have a budget for it.
www.planetvapes.com has the best GonG's (PHVES)
China is making them pretty weak? (disposable?)

I mostly SOLO during the day.

Soloing during the day is CIVILIZED!

Cleaning my piece after the photo because it showed how dirty I am.

I use planetvapes vortex glass in my solo - I think they are pretty thick and sturdy as I have not broken one in six months of use, and I am rough on my stems. They made my solo move to the top of my daily drivers. Its a silver one I named it R2D2 cuz of the light show and all the beeping. I love it.

I copied this from Planetvape's reply to a fellow FCer on another thread.
You might take this into consideration when ordering. I don't want smaller air holes.

Arizer changed the Solo stems about ayear ago to the smaller lazer cut hole size instead of the largerhand poked holes. We did question the change and Arizer said that they flow test all stems and that the new stems with smaller holes are within their flow parameters. Very sorry but all stems manufacturedwithin the last year and going forward are all the new smaller sized holes as provided by Arizer. You might still be able to find some Solo stems with the larger holes from retailers with really old stock. Either way and which ever hole size, PVHES stems still flow better over stock stems.

Edit
I thought I included this part. Here it is.

Those PVHES stems with the glass plate in them are modified Arizer stems. We get those stems directly from Arizer and then modify them into PVHES stems so we have no control over the hole sizes. Our Turbo and Vortex PVHES stems are made exclusively by us 100% so on those models we have full control and they don't have the glass plate.

Your local head shop might have some as well. I'm "blessed" to live by a few big ones, being in California and all, that carry stems for $10-11 a pop, stock only, bent and straight. I only go get them if I need a stem today, otherwise like @OF said I hit Randy (head of @PuffItUp) for the $10 shipped stems. Randy and his team kick ass and are second to none in the online vape shop world IME.

PS, if you didn't notice... the Air stems should all also fit into the Solo. I actually had one of the short Air stems that I used with my Solo until I tipped over my setup somehow and it broke. @Ed's TnT has some beautiful stems made from a variety of woods with metal stem ends, you'd have to really actually try to break those. Hell, even @ataxian hasn't broken one yet...

How do you keep your material from falling into the solo's heating chmaber.
the first 2 puffs can be done hamesterstyle but soon as the stem is in upward direction the loads falls out.

@ataxian, Sorry to butt in, but I think you provided the wrong link.

This is the site we know and love (sometimes hate too) http://www.planetvape.ca/

@ataxian you do realize there is a link on the bottom of the page?

thank you for this information. I did also order a wood stem from Puffitup, I had the same thought proccess as you just mentioned. Lol

I see the problem ataxian... you should ditch the glass coffee table and get a wood one. Or maybe a wood one with a layer of rubber. And your floor... is that ceramic tile?
I had a wood coffee table (all exotic) moved to another room.
My floor are from a LIME STONE Quarry in MEXICO cut into 14" x 14" tiles.
No carpet in my house.

I really can spell fine except I'm lazy and don't care!

I have no GonG's for the SOLO?

Looks like a day of SHATTER in my new unit?

Back to reading since I don't spell to the level the PC POLICE expect!

I built this table 20 years ago!
SOLO is in front of CORAL out of GonG's. (forgot to order some)

This is not on topic specifically for the Solo, but it could be relevant for for most portable vapes and maybe all battery powered devices. It came to my attention on an unrelated forum. I thought I would post a link for those that might be interested.
I would like to have a battery in my solo that lasted 20-40 sessions on a charge, and could be cycled over 3000 times. 3000 x 20= 60,000 sessions!
