Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

That knockoff base... why? The joint looks too close, so if you're using an EVO you probably need an ash catcher or something for clearance. The main thing is that if it's supposed to be a copy on the Hydrabase... the can is small. What makes the Hydrabase a heavy hitter is the big can fills with vapor.

Yeah, I've become a glass snob!

I'd much rather have a loose ELB than a tight one...
Gimme all you loose ones please! :)

If I get a bad set of 4 and VXH honors my word and lets me keep me keep them while still issuing a refund, you're more than welcome to them! My only question is, why would you prefer a loose fit? Surely you don't mean so loose that the ELB's get sucked up half way out of the heating element right? Please do tell.

But yeah in the unlikely event they let me keep em and after I try to fix them myself, If they don't work, you got first dibs! :freak:

I want to see a review but that tube is huge to account for the smaller base. Plus it is like 1/7 the cost of the real one so there's that

 Let's do our best to maintain a higher signal to noise ratio in this thread. That way people can't complain that it's too much to read when they want information. Well they still will, but you know. :)

Congratulations @stonemonkey55 and all of the VXL team! This is a big day for the vapor community. :D

Edit: Might as well get these excellent photos from @moodswing posted over here early on.Is it possible to smoke hash out of the Cloud Evo?

Welcome to the OFFICIAL VapeXhale Cloud EVO thread.

First of all, thanks to everyone that supported our Indiegogo campaign or have purchased past VapeXhale products. For those that don't know about our first vaporizer, the Cloud, here is a quick summary.

Launched in Feb of 2012, the VapeXhale Cloud was one of the first all glass air path vaporizers that could be used with HydraTubes or any other glass water tool that accepts a 18.8 joint. The VapeXhale Cloud was known for its thick, dense, and tasty vapor.

We had a rocky start but we were still able to not only win Best Vaporizer, but Best Product at Cannabis Cup. Based on our learnings, we were able to take all the best parts of the original Cloud and make a few improvements to its successor, the Cloud EVO:

1. More powerful heater. The Cloud already had one of the best heaters in the game but we wanted to add more power so that our unit would vaporize more optimally and efficiently. The heat retention is better and it heats up quicker

2. New, heat resistant enclosure. When the Cloud EVO is held by the lower half of the unit, it will never get too hot to hold. The upper portion of the Cloud EVO has cooling vents to dissipate air but is not meant to be the area where you hold the Cloud EVO. If you want to hold it by the top, we have VapeXhale wristbands that act as great heating buffer.

3. Backwards compatible with all existing Cloud HydraTubes.

4. Detachable power cable - I know this may not seem like a big deal but the Cloud EVO has excellent heat retention so you can vape for a couple of minutes with it disconnected and it makes it easier to pass around.

We are doing a slow rollout over the next few weeks as we have taken manufacturing in house and are working on a few things to increase assembly and efficiency. As I posted in the other thread, ALL OF US, including myself are all hands on in assembling, testing, packaging, and fulfilling orders. Please do not email our support desk asking when your unit is going to be shipped out as that is our #1 request currently and it does slow down production.

We do plan on getting all contributions and pre-orders by the end of the year and the more bandwidth we have to build, the quicker we can hit that goal. I look forward to everyone getting a Cloud EVO and reading all the reviews, positive, negative, and constructive.

If there is anything missing here, feel free to PM me and I will add additional information.

Addendum:
VapeXhale continues to have difficulty obtaining replacement parts for the original Cloud due to circumstances that are beyond our control and unlikely to change.

In an effort to support affected customers we are offering a discount towards the all new VapeXhale EVO to those who own an original Cloud and have purchased the VapeXhale Cloud through an authorized reseller.

The upgrade will include getting a new Cloud EVO which features:

1. New improved heater, stronger and more durable
2. Modular bamboo, repairs are much easier, faster, and cost effective
3. New One Year Warranty
4. Broader temperature range for flowers and concentrates

I know a few of you that have been around for a while may have heard this pitch before with the Cloud+ but this time, we do ALL THE MANUFACTURING and based on early feedback, this unit has none of the failure issues of previous models. If you are interested in an upgrade, just contact support@vapexhale.com

smartbass,
I'm still not entirely sure where to fill the Hydra tube up to?
I currently fill it under the honeycomb, yet above the top of the two air vents.
However, on first hit, it usually brings a good deal of the water up through the honeycomb - where it remains.
This then exposes the top of the two the air-vents .. is that O.K? the water that was covering it, is now above the honeycomb.

time2change,
Was curious if anyone's compared a hydrabase w/ the FC-MOD. The FC-MOD I got was quite nice, although the hydratube I got wasn't on par. I'd say my real hydratube is 4.5/5, the FC-MOD is 4/5, and the hydratube (similar to Symbiartic) was 3.5/5. They all hit perfectly fine, has more to do with quality of glass/thickness.

Might bite the bullet and get a real Symbiartic/hydrabase. I have a feeling the FC-MOD might be a better fit for me, though.

Sure, if you're talking traditional style hash, just crumble some into an ELB - either topping some flower, or simply on it's own (which imo is preferable as it allows you to select a higher temp more suited to your product) and you're good to go. Your ELB might get gunked up a bit quicker than with solely flower, but that's a small price to pay for the amount of flavorsome vapor you'll experience . . . .

After many months of only being able to use Mighty/Crafty, Tonight I have unpacked and re-released the beast that is the VXL EVO. Inhaling sweet tasting vapors through my old Stone Glassworks Shower Dome was sublime. The effects so smoooooth and pure. It reminded me of this video I made a long time ago . .. in a better day . . .. which won a cool prize . . .

Man I'm so jelly. I hear that the Stone Glassworks Shower Dome is one of the best hydratubes ever :-). Enjoy! I'm still using my Evolver Hydratree v1 and I love it.

I can't bring myself to buy one of those Chinese hydratubes. I just can't do it.

Going to be using mine for the first time tonight, but I will be jerry-rigging my dry mouthpiece over the busted mouthpiece on the hydratube until I can get it fixed. SOOO STOKED!

I found the Symbiartic with the Hydrabase was overkill. I could basically taste nothing and the draw seemed a bit restrictive. I much prefer to have a single perc HT on top.

.....evo love....thanks for inspiration guys .

As I mentioned above a single perc... May have to try my Showercap with it!

I found I end up just picking up the 'Base with HT & using it like a good old fashioned beaker bong.

Tons of folks are.

Quality appears a bit hit and miss based on perhaps some QC shortcomings. But some of the most popular options include the following:

http://www.dhgate.com/product/new-v...r-the/386697588.html#s1-1-1b;searl|2414130210

http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/high-quality-26cm-tall-glass-bong-mouthpiece/262624940.html

There is no shortage of foreign options.

And there are other US options as well - although not as discounted as the foreign choices.

Good luck.

Fixed it

I wrapped the busted mouthpiece with teflon, pushed the mouth end of the dry mouthpiece over it, then taped it on. Its not pretty, but it seals!!!

My flowermate v5.0s is blue, named Optimus Prime.

I have dubbed my Evo Trypticon.

Edit: HOLY FUCK this thing is unbelievable!!!!!!!!

By "the end" I presume you mean the joint . . . it's a standard 18/19 that is ever so slightly shaved as a guard against joint lock.

...may help...may not...you will want some sort of stand though...I assume the "water stand" will further facilitate diffusion...
