Agreed! Every dog I have is connected to a VK. Complete precise control at your finger tips is the way to go for sure

I've noticed many of loyal 12 volt log users, the ones with multiple logs collected over years, ussually have variable voltages power supplies. Now I know why.

If you read this thread a while, these same issues come up frequently. How do I use my dimmer? Why am I charring my herb, or why can't I get a complete extraction? This herb has great vapor but this other herb barely gives me vapor.

The answer of course is to fine tune your temps to fit the need. And vvps is the way to go, IMHO.

Enjoying my buck/boost and the tuning possible. Run mine about 12.8 for thick and powerful hits and exploring under 12v for taste. I didn't expect it but sativas seem to be giving more at lower settings. It really makes this vape complete.

Can't think of any negative effects. It has definitely caused me to use my dog much more and my butane based vapes less.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Been using thr vvps I picked up from @SSVUN~YAH
It's really nice having total control over my pup.
My pup seems to run cool so 12.5 for flavor town & 13.1 for a dark roast.
Thanks again my friend
You're very welcome bro! Vvps at home battery pack on the go, that dog will hunt! Are you going to redecorate the vvps?

@underdog Had first gong crack today. If you can't get glass that can withstand being juggled , bounced and used as a drumstick for more than 2 1/2 years I will be forced to........Ah hell I just ordered another:lol: one.

Funny you should mention that dude.. we just switched over to a new process of making both the Direct Draw glass stems (both sizes) and shorty GonGs that should see the quality and durability improve. They should have better cut ends (more square and consistent) and a significantly better/more finely tuned heat treatment in the kiln. :brow::tup:

My daughter broke direct draw stem today. 2 in two days. She was complaining about power supply and I told her to dry carpet I had scrubbed and while I was in another room steamer began burning up. I think "Witch!" Everyone gather by the Dunking Stool and we shall see what's what. (Mods there was no Witchcraft Topic so I posted here.)

Hello, brand new UD owner here. I recently picked up a nice ambrosia maple dog with a ̶v̶v̶p̶s̶ dimmer ordered at the same time, thank you FC forums for that. You saved me a lot of wasted time, flower and frustration. I've read what I could google off and on for probably over a year before taking the big gamble to change from combustion to vaping (had never tried a vape). Wow, you could never get me to go back to smoking. I'm a member of the DogPack for life.

I've already customized my dog by cutting a nice big Jack Daniels bottle to drop in a 5" diffuser downstem, cut a carb hole for fine control and made a decent bubbler IMO. When I get decent lighting and a good photo or two I will post some pictures. Is there a separate picture posting thread? Or can we just pop things inline here in this thread; etiquette check.

I'll be reading back over the huge thread history to see what I can learn and who's who etc. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the pack. I look forward to learning how you guys use your dogs and how you've customized them.

I can't wait to see what I can dig through and learn on here, ttys!

Vvps at home battery pack on the go

Could you post pics or links to the 12v battery packs you guys are using for UD vapes? I'm curious and new at this, and just starting to read back over the thread. If it's been covered I'll get there, thanks!

So... I fell asleep... woke up a couple hours later and tried to figure out what was creating an almost yogurty smell in my room... Fast forward 10 minutes, I give up, sit down and start grinding some herb. I pack the nong, and realise I don't see my Dog... Peculiar.

I look next to me and see the cord leading under the pillow I had fell asleep on.
Yuuup, my underdog was self kiln-ing itself for a couple hours.

Good news is that the underdog survived, and it looks badass (and no fire thank dog)
Bad news is that my pillow smells weird and my extension cord died the following week.
