Hi!
I'm vaping (only) for the last half-year, and in the past 3 months ive noticed somthing wierd.
when I'm high, I suddenly remembered dreams that i forgot in the past...
sometimes its from the past year, and sometime from my childhood or just from over 3 year ago.
Thats crazy, do somebody else has it also? It's interesting...

That's interesting, never heard of that before. Are they particularly intense dreams you're remembering, or just any old dream? I only remember the really scary, really fun, or really sexy ones.

I used to have partial seizures which were Deja Vu feelings, often associated with false memories or dreams. Often I would experience something that gave me an uncanny fleeting deja vu feeling, but upon examination of the memory, I would realize it was not an experience that I actually lived through, but a false memory of a dream I had experienced. Now I am medicated, but there are still some memories I have which I am not sure if they were real experiences, or if they were dreams.

If this sounds exactly like what you were experiencing, deja vu and all, you should consider reading up on temporal lobe epilepsy. It wouldn't surprise me if there is a connection. If the deja vu is followed by a feeling of dread, pointlessness, or impending doom, then definitely look more into it. That's how I discovered I had epilepsy.

Yup, I get that. Plus passages of books, movies, TV shows as well as fragments of real life memories. If I really push it and concentrate hard I can sometimes pin them down pretty accurately. Other times, they just drift away.... :peace:

Its not particularly intense dreams, its just old dreams that ive already forgot... Not someting specific :)

For me it's different from what you describe, It's like a floating dream memory unconscious to the conscious.

With regard to real memories (or what I perceive to be real), they are almost always a sense of place - a fleeting but vivid sense of being there - a street, room, countryside...often from my early childhood (which I suspect I have otherwise supressed). There is a kind of Deja vu feel to that sometimes, but no sense of dread - it's kinda cool.

Yep, absolutely, and I don't think this is deja vu because it can happen several times - I think it's some sort of flashback, and I never really did acid... there was one summer of shroomy fun :D

I've experienced the exact same thing! It's just weird, all of a sudden it's like you get access to parts of your brain that has just been shut down or something. I can remember dreams that I had months ago, but it's like you say; there is usually nothing special about the dreams really, just that I in all of a sudden I remember them as if I just woke up from them :)

I had an experience once on a synthetic cannabinoid, though I have no way to ever know what it was.

During this experience, I could view my mind like a file system on a computer (complete with a GUI) and I felt like I had access to every experience I'd ever had.
I reviewed snorkelling in the great barrier reef, various holidays and basically all my most cherished memories. But it was beyond normal recall, I was literally watching what I did, through my eyes, as if I was there again. I have no chance of re-establishing this same level of memory recall, and nothing I've tried has reproduced this effect.

My friend had a terrible time, he may have had more than I did (it was potently psychoactive), but that 'trip' sent me to one of the most euphoric states I've ever experienced - literally by becoming an accumulation of nothing but my best moments.
I tried a number of different commercial smoking blends after this, but nothing could compare. Most were absolutely fucked, I think one had some kind of synthetic ketamine derivative. Nasty.

It seems the CB2 receptor is responsible for this advanced memory phenomena, and as a wild guess I'd say the cannabinoid I had probably had a selective and/or binding nature to this receptor over CB1 (activation here has shown to impair memory by activating COX-2).
Activation of CB2 by various cannabinoids has been seen to reduce many of the toxic effects of induced Alzheimer's disease in rodent models...
In rats injected with Aβ1-40 fibrils to mimic Alzheimer's pathology, activation of CB2 (via the synthetic cannabinoid MDA7[567]) is able to near-fully preserve memory relative to control, which is thought to be due to reduced microglial activation in the hippocampal CA area.[555] It was also observed that CB2 activation promoted Aβ1-40 clearance in the hippocampal CA1 area as well. [555]Treatment with MDA7 also prevented abnormalities in this region such as CB2 receptor upregulation or impaired glutaminergic signalling.

Perhaps a strain with natural CB2 selective composition could be the cause of 'memory trips', I know I've had a few with cannabis too, just not nearly to the same extent as above.

within my first couple years of vaping i would have very clear short "memory clips" play in my head of things i had forgotten about for at least 30-40 years, from single digit age and on. sometimes it was something significant that would have me pondering it for a long while after and other times it was some mundane memory that left me curious why i even remembered that or what else i might remember later that i could carefully scrutinize to the no end or point. seemed to happen at times (or soon thereafter) when i was very much detached from everything, a oneness experience brought on from getting vaped + sensory deprivation.

i have these memories pop back in sometimes but its rare these days and honestly i can do without them at the moment since im busy enough making new memories.

Since I started vaping I also had numerous flashbacks from my childhood and younger years. It feels nice because I think more often about the good stuff than the bad that plagued me for a long time. Then it makes me ponder and analyze the choices in my life I've always taken for granted. I really love this new experience ; I've never felt this way when I combusted.

For me, I find I don't dream if I have medicated that day / evening.

This is what keeps me awake when on holiday, dreams and an active mind racing, stopping me from getting a good nights unconsciousness sleep.
