Right so I've gone for a cocobolo ti woody xls double crown....
Then I got an 18mm cocobolo vong.....
And the dynastashXL in bocote....

This comes to 154 pounds delivered.....

Although it warn's of delayed shipping....

Any reason why I shouldn't process this basket?????

And has anyone got a pic of inside the dynastash?????

Sounds like a sweet combination to me...

Note that the Dynastashes will accommodate VCs with a girth up to 14mm. Your 18mm VonG won't fit. But, the Cocobolo Woody will fit.

Here is one side of my DynastashER and its Omni. Note the DynastashER comes with a built in silicone concentrate container and handy tool.

I think you are applying flame too close. Personally I find quadruple torch best choice (bought 3 of them) but I stay far from the cap, rarely touch it with flame, or if I do it is only with the outter less bright one and always spinning (and get brown abv, not too dark nor charred)
I find taste is even better when torch is set on High :)
Thanks! I had just figured that out watching some videos, but you saying this is even better reassurance.

This thing has been in development since almost the beginning. It not only looks different than most traditional screens, but functions much differently too.

The way it works I think is kinda fun. Just push in from the mouthpiece end of any standard VapCap or VapCap S.

IMG_20160704_181127163_zps1m5pomjo.jpg

All the VapCaps in this box have them as will all new ones shipping effective about now.

Use the tool I'll have on the website soon or an unsharpened pencil or dowel that fits. And push the CCD until it snaps into the groove. It will dome up and lock into place and hold tight until it is pushed out the chamber end being pushed from the mouthpiece end. The same way it gets put in, just keep pushing until it pops out. I will make video soon.

IMG_20160722_234316191_zpsgv5w06ak.jpg

This way it is easy remove, clean and reinstall.

I don't have them to fit the ti tips yet, but I am working on it. :)

Cheers,

George

My newest OG VC came with the new CCDiffuser, and I'm loving it. Easy to use and I think lets the right amount of air through when compared to my older equipment from last year (the original ss diffuser disc did the job, but was very difficult to pull through in closed carb mode). I love all the little improvements, your tireless effort to improve is always appreciated and impressive, @VapCap

Been waiting for a burly (tough may wait a bit longer for the new CCDs to make it in them) - thanks for the tip. Three questions:
1) What is the difference between the regular ti and the S version? is it that the S is longer and has a mouthpiece (that spins)?
2) On the tiWoody page on the website it lists an XLS is that different than an S? What's the difference?
3) See option for exotic wood mouthpieces but there's no list of options to choose from - just ask them to pick out something cool?

Overall I can't wait to try a VapCap, but I find it a little hard to shop on the website - not really clear on options and what fits what etc. Thanks to all that post info and photos here. It's my VapCap FAQ.

For example, on the tiWoody stem page (http://www.dynavap.com/product/vapcap-titanium-woody/) there's photos - some with captions that explain what it is pictured (like Titantium-Woody-Cocobolo-10-P1280560) and others - I'm guessing it's the s or xls just just say imageedit_1_3595922410 - it's a black wood with a brown wood mouthpiece - assuming that's the XLS?

The regular Ti Woody is 3.5 inches long. It does not come with a mouthpiece. Like this.
IMG_20151021_193754947_zpsasgntpub.jpg

The Ti Woody S is also 3.5 inches long but it comes with a mouthpiece. They both have the same regular condenser, so the mp on the S model is possible because the wood body is shorter than the regular Woody stem by 17mm. Both of these models fit in the Dynastash/ERs.

Here is a Ti Woody S with a Blackwood short body and burl mp.
XM58poe.jpg

You CAN add a mp to the Ti Woody by either upgrading to the XL Condenser or by buying it separately. If you do this your Woody will be 17mm longer. If you want a Dynastash to go with, order the DynastashXL.

This is a a Black and White Ebony Ti Woody with an XL Condenser and a blackwood mouth piece beside the Blackwood S model on a regular DynastashER.

2) On the tiWoody page on the website it lists an XLS is that different than an S? What's the difference?

I think that George @VapCap is referring to the XL Condenser mentioned above. Someone correct me if I am wrong...

3) See option for exotic wood mouthpieces but there's no list of options to choose from - just ask them to pick out something cool?

You will also notice they all the exotic woods shown on this thread of stems, bodies and VonGs are also not listed on the website yet....except the Burl was listed today!!! They are still updating the website.

So, if you choose the exotic wood, email George through the Contact page on his site to enquire about the options available and your choice.

@Squiby thank you for answering my questions ... and illustrating them so well. Big help. Especially the tip about the exotics - had seen pics here (maybe yours?) of some bee-u-tee-ful looking pieces which I didn't see on site. I'll just ask the man that makes 'em.

A VC would be perfect for my trip next week to FloydFest ... I'll order when I'm back and VC ads that new diffuser thingee. Can't wait to give one a try.

PS - that black&white ebony VC looks awesome!

Ive had the pleasure of using the circumferential compression diffuser, It is absolutely awesome!
Simple to use (i find it much easier to fit in the vapcap than the ceramic screen)
Enganced performance of the vapcap, not to mention it looks really cool.

I would say these new screens are a must for any VapCap arsenal

@VapCap or anyone else that may know...

I have an omni on order which I will assume will come with the current Ti Cap. If I order a VonG or Woody down the road with a new-style cap, will the new Ti cap be interchangeable with my existing omni? In short is there anything special about the cap on the omni?

I love how fast this project is moving. That's why I'm going to take it slow on building my collection.. hahah I want to try a lot of the iterations!

I've broken my ceramic screen, what's the best way for someone in the UK to get hold of one of these new CCD's?

I bet you are referring to the Raw Edge Burl Dynastash. It is not the standard dimensions. The length is standard but it is wider to accommodate and show off that raw edge. George had a few of them a couple months ago. When he posted a pic of one of them here, I immediately emailed him and purchased it. I LOVE it!!! It is a beautiful burl!!!:love::love:

The Wenge DynastashER is the standard dimensions. If it looks extra fat to you, it must just be the angle of the shot.

In short is there anything special about the cap on the omni?

I believe that the Ti tips are all interchangeable. The new tip has more channels to likely increase air flow and convection performance. Plus it is VERY attractive.

I've broken my ceramic screen, what's the best way for someone in the UK to get hold of one of these new CCD's?

If you have the OG Vapcap, contact George. He can probably send you some. The CCDs for the Ti tipped are still in development stage and not yet available. Hopefully, when they are available we will be able to order a package of them.

They look like a fantastic innovation to me. I can't wait to try them myself. Isn't it funny that everything that George comes up with has an aesthetic appeal and improved functionality? Even a lowly screen is a work of art.....:love::luv::love::love:

In the mean time you have some options;

- replace the ceramic screen. They should be commonly available.
- use an 8mm titanium screen, like these. They are available on eBay.
- Or, you can do as some have suggested and go without a screen and use a bit of hemp fiber instead.

Herb gardener...
I finally got round to putting my order through today....

Ti woody (cocobolo), xls, double crown, with exotic mp...

18mm vong (cocobolo)...

Dynastash xl(becote)....

150 quid...

Does anyone have a rough idea how long the shipping delay will be at the moment,
Weeks?
Months?
Just wondering....

Also to be honest I don't really have clue what iv ordered, is going to actually look like, what is an exotic mp???

Can anyone show me what iv ordered, is going to look like....????

Asthetics are important to me, I hope it's to my taste.... I'm worried now.....is the xls fatter???

Edit:-

Also 1 last question, is this device seen as more convection or conduction? Or is this a saw point like some other vapes????

Hi George - my OG that I got...oh, maybe 5 weeks ago, has this metal screen/diffuser. I guess I lucked out and got the beginning of the latest run. I did take it out to clean but reinserted it from the chamber end (used a large drift pin punch I have for some gunsmithing but I should think that a #2 pencil from the eraser end might work??). Since I put it back in from the chamber end and its concave (looking from chamber side) I supposed I will have to push it out the mouthpiece end next time and then follow directions. I like it and actually would like it if this was available as a replacement part as I can see using this screen in other home grown applications.

I just received my beautiful Ti Woody. Haven't used it yet and certainly have not disassembled yet, but it appears to have a ceramic screen. Look forward to the metal one coming out.

Thanks and I'm looking foward to sparking up my new Ti Woody today but I have become somewhat attached to my OG :-)

I can't recommend those 8mm titanium screens enough. I don't know how they work with the OG, but for the Tis, they're perfect. Better airflow and much less fragile than the ceramic ones. Until the CCDs for the Ti tips are out, at least, those screens are ideal.

You will probably have to wait at least a month - month and a half.

what is an exotic mp???

An exotic mp is made from a wood species other than Blackwood or cocobolo. At least that is my interpretation as the standard options are Blackwood or cocobolo. You need to get together with George to choose the species. They will likely contact you for this when they fill your order.

is the xls fatter???

No. The XLS refers to the length of the condenser. A Ti Woody LCD is approx 4 1/4 inches long.

Can anyone show me what iv ordered, is going to look like....????
Ti woody (cocobolo), xls, double crown, with exotic mp...

Left to right:

- Ti Woody XLS double crown with burl stem and (exotic) burl mp. Your stem will be cocobolo and of course whatever mp you choose. It will be approx 4.5 inches long.

- Ti Woody S double crown with Blackwood body and mp. 3.5 inches long

- Omnivap. 3.5 inches long

This is a Ti Woody XLS without the double crown.

18mm vong (cocobolo)...

Here are two Cocobolo VonGs. The one one the left is 14mm and on the right is an 18mm.

"is this device seen as more convection or conduction? "

The Vapcaps operate through both convection (air path under the cap) and conduction (bowl in contact with heated herb).

@Squiby again to my rescue, many thanks again, I owe you.....

Is the double crown better? As I think the slimmer single crown looks nicer?

I'm annoyed I chose the exotic mp now, I wonder If I could swap to cocobolo to match??? Is this possibe???

How do I contact George???

And isn't that last pic a wenge dynastash???

The double crown, meaning the extra metal cap at the mouth end of the sleeve likely offers a bit of protection. But it is not essential.

I'm annoyed I chose the exotic mp now, I wonder If I could swap to cocobolo to match??? Is this possibe???

Yes. Contact George to change your order.

How do I contact George???

Either contact George through the Contact page on his website or wait for them to contact you to choose your mp.

The Bocote is a mix of light and dark wood. The Wenge looks black but is in fact a mix very dark brown and black wood grain. You can see the differences below.

I wanted the darker box, oh well maybe I'll prefer the lighter version....

This is a stressful purchase....

I'll contact George, thanks again...
