If you don't like the smell, get out of the kitchen. I have nothing to prove, or disprove for that matter. The FC powers that be know the situation. They will decide to tag my account as a "manufacturer rep" or not. I will state again I receive zero compensation from RBT. I received a Milaana to beta test. I paid for my zion. If I thought it was no good, FC would be the second to know... RBT, the first.

Why would a kind gesture smell of anything but kindness. Unless the person complaining has a hidden agenda himself.
I hope Rbt succeeds because (this is the selfish side of me) I want to keep using the vaporizers that I love the most. I don't want to go back to my previous experiences, that cost me twice as much as the mi,and kept me hunting for my favorite way to experience my favorite meds. I hope more people/customers help out these little start up company's that are in a brand new market trying to survive in these crazy times. Just mi thoughts

@cwheezy and anyone else making (or thinking) comments about Diehard's involvement...

Diehard has been very open about his involvement with RBT and his products. He has approached us regarding his involvement in an attempt for full transparency. He is not a paid employee.

Further negative comments will be considered as trying to derail and disrupt the thread and will be point worthy.

Any tips on running some dabs/oils/shatter through on the cheap? Saw someone mention organic cotton but I think I need an in dept how to... Thanks!

Really agree...been using this site for reference way back to my Ufanco days of posting here. Remember all the excitement over the iolite and magic flights first vaporizers. Was at one time searching for the one perfect vaporizer....

For my usage I have found there's no one perfect vaporizer. Really having muti vaporizer is a godsend..with my problems with the shaking spasticity if don't vaporize every couple of hours it get's worse and harder to control and even more painful.

I don't see really this guy replacing my whole line up. Guess find out tomorrow if it fill the spot I hope it does in my line up. If so I will be happy.

Believe me if feel this things junk I be on here giving my thoughts. Of course there my thoughts and I do not to blame the vaporizer if it's working right and just not my style of vaping. It up to each person to research there needs and what vaporizer might fit them. Find poster that share your style of usage. This place if full of knowledge but it's up to you to pull from it what you need.

I also like to support these startup companies :)

Oil on top of herb, oil mixed in with herb. First hit is the preheat melt, next hits get ya.
Or...Yes, ORGANIC cotton works, or degummed hemp fiber.
Basically, you would get a little drop of oil, ball it up in some fiber, and the first hit or so will melt it, and the rest will get ya. You can flip the fiber too after a few hits in case the oil drips predominantly to one side. Possible keep stem held horizantal for the first few hits to make sure it doesnt drip or anything, just feel it out tbh.

Exact same for me. Was worried about warranty but it seems he's stepping out from under the water and is finally heading towards the stars. I was more worried during the Zion Preorder, once Milaanas got rolling, I was pretty confident things would look upwards.

I volunteered to do the IG for Ryan because I believe in his product and mission. And I'm already haunting IG anyway. This really does not take a lot of time. I have already gotten back more than my initial investment (the price of my Zion preorder). I am giving back because I want to.

You're a good guy, man! I respect your ability to go out and give back to the community you love. Much respect from me. I know you sure have helped me!

For what it's worth I love our beta tester on this site. Most are picked cause of there experience with using many different vaporizer. Sure some may be jaded more towards a technology and vaporizer style they enjoy. But I have never felt lied too here or puposely mislead into buying a vaporizer. I come here because I do value there experiences.

It's also a friendly bunch here. The mod's do a great job of weeding out the garden of bullshit that sprouts now and again
I completely agree! Most of the beta testers have seemed to be nothing but honest, and everything they've said about this unit has held true for me.

with my problems with the shaking spasticity if don't vaporize every couple of hours it get's worse and harder to control and even more painful.
:(
Goodluck with everything! I wish you the best!

---------------------------
Been LOVING micro-dosing through the long stem basket style. Just enough to cover the bottom screen, and has been way more successful than I imagined. Literally looks like I'm just vaping a couple crumbs, but it sure as hell gets the job done!

Thanks man. Yeah getting to the point need a heavy hitter in my lineup something for them really bad times. That why sometimes you don't see me posting here for extended times. Heck was to painful till recently to even type thank goodness for the cbd strains.

Kinda the reason never really followed RBT line the glass scared me off. Hands improving and there some members here that share my taste in on demand vaporizer that I trust there thoughts. If I am being tricked into buying something...well this is one of the best well laid out scams I seen for a $189.00 item.

Almost there...
I like this vape, how often do you combust, I guess if you get a hold of the technique then you don't combust often? Kind of like the firefly in technique? right?

I combust exactly 0%.

0% here as well!!
I can go very dark if i want to on the ABV but for me the flavor is awful, so i stay at a light brown.
Combustion will happen if you decide to push the button for too long, it is inevitable!
That is why i love FC!!! Read the last 10 or so pages and you will have a technique down before you have a Milaana in your hands! This is exactly what i did before getting mine.

First i charged the battery and inserted it.
Then i placed an empty stem in and hit the power button for 5 seconds, this is when i felt the air getting to about that temperature. (Hard to describe but similar to my other full convection vapes...)
Having figured out the length of time to hold the button down it was time for a load.
I am loving a fine grind, the clouds and flavor are crazy!!!
So pack a stem and lightly tamp it down, test that air passes through the load easily but inhaling to check resistance.
Load stem into Milaana and hit button for 5 seconds and release.
I can then start pressing the button for 3 seconds, then 2 seconds for the remainder of the hit until my lungs are full or i can't take any more terps!
Hold for 10 to 15 and exhale.
Rinse and repeat till you need another battery!

It really is that easy!!

Just remember that some run hotter than others!
The heat test with an empty stem is critical for gauging the length of time to hold the button down. IMO!!
Once you have that baseline, it is smooth vaping!

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
I volunteered to do the IG for Ryan because I believe in his product and mission. And I'm already haunting IG anyway. This really does not take a lot of time. I have already gotten back more than my initial investment (the price of my Zion preorder). I am giving back because I want to. Who can find fault with that? My time is very valuable. I don't give it lightly. I have a FT job+++

Smells like fish.

Not only that, it was all DH's own idea to put RBT on Instagram, he didn't just volunteer without compensation, he actually asked RBT if he could create an RBT Instagram bc he just loves the product (and apparently Instagram? lol I don't get involved with it myself) and wants to see it succeed. Fish often smells delicious so if that's what you are smelling I am definitely in for a taste, some fresh seabass perhaps? ;)

@AJS been into microdosing as if late too, basket style fill just enough to cover the screen, barely anything, same type of pinch I can put in the GH or Mist, but I get way more hits from it in Milaana. If it's a larger pinch or denser rather, I can even stir for better taste and even more hits, if it was through water I'd probably be able to kill it em in one hit, or maybe an smaller less dense load dry if i really wanted to do that to my throat. I too like to do smaller quick hits so I get several and the taste and smoothness is wonderful with any length stem.

And yeah @Astedra zero combustion ever for me, it is truly second nature now so the more you use it the better you get to know it and can control trigger and draw based on pack and battery level very intuitively. At worst you could get a little hot spot if you go too hard, but if you then stir you still get tasty hits, the load doesn't ignite unless you really push it or its really dry and already fairly extracted. Best way to avoid it is lay off the trigger, use it less especially at first to get a feel for the heat as AJS said. Yes like Firefly it goes up in a curve so it can be easily controlled if you are familiar with that unit, it just heats much faster so you can pull tasty clouds in under 10 seconds vs 30 for FF

killick

But I like it!
The instructions above are perfect. I have one wee thingie to add, and thats try listen carefully when you first start drawing, as sometimes you can hear the crackle of the resin in the herb melting (or something. :) Once you've heard the crackle the herb stays pretty much where it's supposed to. And when you find the perfect screen depth you'll barely ever need to clean it. The glass gets resiny tho, and if you have some organic cotton or degummed hemp fiber you can use that as a pull-thru, then stuff it into the stem and vape it. Simple versatility :)

Edit - to combust on demand: Fill stem, or stuff it with a whole bud, so it sticks out of the stem just a wee bit. 5 second preheat. Draw until you feel heat, and then suck like you are trying to suckstart a Harley, and you'll be rewarded with pure combustion. I was doing ti by accident quite a bit at first, but with the techniques as above, plus a bit of a rotation of stem between hits, and all is well.

No, I don't work for the company either. I missed being a beta tester by 3 units, but I was a close follower, and now a really happy owner just sharing The Good News ;)

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
I volunteered to do the IG for Ryan because I believe in his product and mission.

Could you explain what is the mission of rbt, if not the same of every vape company (meaning making money through the production and sales of (edited) aromatherapy devices)?

Ps
Just noticed, good luck with your new status (company rep)!

Well @DDave has his MIL now and I have had his first pass at the mod from the items he has on hand and tested it all the last few days.
pnnmSBm.jpg

Did someone say micro-dosing? well here is a 14mm tapered down bowl, which yes I do realize kinda defeats the purpose of the 18mm female on the unit itself but it does allow a tiny micro bowl screen. This really is the final cherry on making this thing like a portable log, as it reduced the bowl size to near the nano.
lf0a7s0.jpg

The adapter I have cut down to be more flush with the 14mm glass joint.
04DQqMJ.jpg

The taper on the 18 and 14mm mouthpiece is not a wide bore here and is pretty nice in the mouth overall, but I think something in-between what i have here and the stock RBT ones would be my ideal.
Here it is with the 18mm tapered stem.

Speaking of which did you notice the kick-ass basket screen tips? They work well seem durable so far clean easy in ISO/ETH and best of all can hold keif with 0 particle pass-through!:bowdown:

gYeUwYw.jpg

The above image shows on the left a RBT stock stem, on the right is a cut down ISO stem to match the relative length. Please note how this decreases the internal diameter as the glass wall is thicker, just something to note. This pick also shows off the screen well. The ISO stem has a RBT screen installed in it.
0AfSgkd.jpg

The screens @DDave has fit an RBT stem perfectly with a little bit of a scrunch on the first install, then a snug fit then on.

I have had 0 issue with the stem contacting with the heater screen with this basket screen installed on the top of a stock stem, tho I do believe the final revision will have a bit more space to work with here for safety of the unit itself.

Also something to note, which I forgot to take a good PIC of is the stem itself has an internal screen below the basket screen, which is a good second layer to catch something. But more importantly you can load between the basket and the internal screen, for a lower bowl (similar to how the stems come with screen installed from RBT) so what this allows you to do is pack the same stem in 2 locations.

:worms::worms: Then what about double-decker bowls like the SUB? Herb in the internal chamber hash ETC in the basket? :worms::worms:
You can see the internal screen in Pic # 1 and 4 in this post, its visible from outside the unit.

:science::science:If anything here seems up your ally hit @DDave up and hop on in with us in the beta of developing this mod. :science::science:

Pretty sure he also has the screens available if you just want those.
Thanks @Dramma Lamma for working with me on this latest kit!

Note: This is a beta release. While it is possible to install internal screens in the stems, it is a task I am looking to simplify! For this reason, am including 10 1" round flat screens that can be cut and installed. This takes some patience, so... am looking for an easier way to install.. :) For the rest of the items in the kit, they work out of box and also fit the stock RBT stems quite nicely.

Vapes R Great
When you guys say "hold the button for 5 seconds" first, do you mean before starting to draw or hold the button while drawing??

Never used or owned one yet just trying to get a better handle on using these type of vapes before I take the plunge

I had a magic flight box once way back and always had troubles so sold it to my sister.
Now I am a seasoned vape enthusiast I think I can do a better job haha.

Just sold some glass for about the same price of a new Mi... Descions decisions :hmm:

Your message could be the best in the world, but eye stabbing yellow text will never do it any good.

I put a shit ton off shatter in my short stem last night. It was 3 overzealous sessions worth. I was on the go...church bbq/ pool party so I didn't want to blow up the spot with my smelly flower sessions. It was warm and two of the shatter sessions started to melt together within the folded parchment so I just pressed all 3 together (LA Confidential, Master OG, and Headband) and set them right on the dome screen that is set at the back of the joint. I then added a little of the RBT concentrate mesh so the shatter would melt onto the mesh. I took about 7-10 huge rips last night. I kept the Mi close to horizontal and spun the stem each hit so that the shatter melted in a uniform ring around the glass as well as onto and through the mesh. I am still ripping it this morning. I will probably get near 30 rips from this method and I can stop and put it away to come back do it anytime. No mess, no fuss, no wait. This is just great!
Lol good to know I'm
Not the only one who vapes before church bbqs

That leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If he's referring to what I think he is it's not even true. That was a Foxconn factory and employees, not Apple. They supplied Apple as well as many others. They also have a low suicide rate among employees compared to the rest of China.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxconn_suicides

Apple has done a lot to fight for better treatment of employees. They are also moving as much manufacturing as possible to the United States.

I like to support products that are made in America and small manufacturers. I wish RBT the best of luck, and I would like to give him some advice. It is best not to badmouth competition, even if what you are saying is true. It drags you down to their level. Let your product stand on its own, and instead emphasize your own focus on sustainability and the fair treatment of employees which I do find admirable.

I'm afraid you're missing my point. It is not classy to badmouth other companies. You risk alienating a lot of potential customers that could be reading this on an Apple device. I'm of the opinion it makes you look bad and I was offering it as a piece of friendly advice.

Again, I wish RBT the best and hope he keeps working on his tech.

American (Human) Ingenuity. A guy looked at something and said "I can do that or better!" Might be the years that RBT recalls as back when I worked or that time I took a flyer and failed. Never any shame in reaching beyond you. I have seen success and failure and there is rarely any justice, just the outcome. I am proud he got this far and I think it was harder than he thought but he has pushed forward. Owners seem happy, Speculators seem negative. In the end I would rather own than moan.

We agree to disagree.:)
I am using 2 Apple devices. Am I a hypocrite? Maybe...but I haven't found a domestic made device to suit me yet. Again the point is exploitation of cheap labor. Low prices for products produced by underpaid workers in deplorable conditions. Not ALL Chinese labor is treated this way, I'm sure. Ryan wants to create jobs in his own area. Not design a product and hand the design over to a manufacturer in a country where it can/will be copied almost overnight. I can understand his point without focusing on the exact pixels of his text.:horse:

Well, being fully transparent is risky... I don't mean to offend and I agree, the way to win in to play off your own strengths and not point out others weakness. I don't mean to pick on apple but if you know anything about Jobs it's hard to argue he cared to do anything but feed his narcissism with capitalism.

My point really was a company committed to sustainable values. One that starts grass roots. Built with the help of friends encouragement. Fueled by the passion of experts, piloted to a elite group of vaporist, and optimized by the manufacture to have exceptional quality.

It's true, DH offered to step up and create the Instagram after I asked for ideas on how to get the word out. Heck, a special lady in his life gave the input... "But don't recess the button too much or my nail will interfere with the button.

But it wasn't just DieHard that worked for free ... The Z-team: Help map the temperature curves, optimized materials, ensured battery safety, researched CE requirements, tracked heater reliability, created my web page, generated CAD, drafted the user manual, and spent countless hours on Skype, on the phone and recently a retailer that has made it his mission to tell the world about Milaana.

All while teaching me the industry, watching this thread to help our early customers and helping me navigate through stormy seas as they have experience along the rocky shore line.

...and finally a manufacture that has decoyed months of his and his staffs time working long hours to grind through the pre-orders and now has resolved all know issues and is ready to ship... He is yet to collect a dime.

...and now the spirt grows... Guitar pick mods, copper I can see myself in, amazing blue finishes, crazy glass, creative mouthpieces and amazing techniques.... A communal place of friends united through a shared passion and are willing to share and help.

I intentionally didn't name names as those who contributed oddly seem to not want credit. Understandably, there is no way I can pay them back. Their pay dirt is the same as mine... The be part of creating something from nothing that gives others joy and brings a sense of community amongst it's users.. For this I envy Mr. Jobs.

Vape Different

Edit: currently typing on my iPhone... I personally will not buy another Apple product but that is just me. It's not about a particular brand as I wish all vaporizer company's well in our fight against commutation. It's about a movement driven by passionate customers fed by sustainable business practices where profits are important but always trumped by integrity.

This takes some patience, so... am looking for an easier way to install.. :) For the rest of the items in the kit, they work out of box and also fit the stock RBT stems quite nicely.

Well fuck me running @DDave I knew we would be eventually be doing buissnes and that time has come. I just purchased your sweet little kit. Thanks for putting these kits out to the public especially at a very reasonable price and also thanks to @Dramma Lamma for being the initial poster of it. And tester also.
