Ordered mid-july 2015. Arriving today. Shipped almost exactly 1 year after ordering.

I had honestly stopped expecting it to come and stopped paying attention to the grasshopper threads. I just figured if it comes cool, if not I'm out a couple hundred. So I was honestly surprised when I got my address confirmation.

I wonder how much longer until they've "caught up" with preorders. Maybe another year? The site says new orders are expected to ship in august -but I won't believe it till I see it.

I ordered early May 2015 and first ship date was July 2015 which changed every two months until July 2016. It got to a point I just stopped thinking about it. I thought about canceling a few times but then this year came and it was getting closer so stayed with it. They recently said they hired more people so hopefully they do really speed up things. When I started my wait hardly anything was happening for a long time.

But did you get yours (I hope), or are you still waiting? I thought all May 2015 preorders were shipped.

Got my address confirmation last Friday the 15th. Haven't seen many shipping confirmations this week though?

I received it a couple weeks ago and really like it. No problems yet, I've only used one portable before so this to me is a pretty amazing device. Started off using with the d020 bubbler but I use it more by itself. I received it a week after address confirm but some people on Reddit said they received even quicker. FYI upgraded shipping is only 3 dollars more and it took only 2 days to receive from HL to SoCal

About 9 days ago I got my address confirmation.
I just noticed that my online Invoice shows "July 30, 2016; 7:21PM"

So I suppose that takes the guesswork out of when it is supposed to actually ship, although I'm thinking it's just their way of saying "don't ask us when you'll get your shipping confirmation".

Hopefully it will ship soon... Or I'll be emailing them at 7:22 PM on July 30th! :rofl:

Despite the things mentioned above, I received a shipping confirmation last night... Oh man... hope it arrives in time - otherwise it will be returning returned automatically cause I can't get it being absent.

You do know it will just sit on porch or whatever? unless they suddenly today started to require sig there is no sig needed upon delivery.



Now where are all those damn add comfs from August???? Come on now Friday is a months worth of add conformations shipping for all of july should have been over by thursday.

Since I'm an international, it will be held at customs and be sent back, if I don't release it within a certain time frame. Being on vacation, I won't be able to do that...

Does releasing it require you being there personally with a photo ID or can a trusted friend do it for you?

I never understood why other lands do this since you already paid Hopper labs for to doorstep shipping, And then they not only don't pay you for your time or fuel to drive out they also charge some made up and probably illegal fee. I gotta ask is it like this everywhere except Tribal lands they call U.s and so called U.s territories? And what is the reason for stealing peoples stuff holding it hostage then charging extra?

There are customs fees in the U.S., it looks like they are only charged on items worth more than $800: http://m.dutycalculator.com/country...axes-when-importing-into-the-United-States/re

One of the benefits of living in the U.S. is the low taxes. I've never had to pay customs duty and I import fairly often.

The reason for customs is to restrict trade, and to keep dangerous/illegal items from entering the county. A government can choose to restrict international trade for many reasons, usually it is to encourage people to buy domestically to improve the nation's economy.

Yeah. Need to be there personally or empower someone by letter - but for the latter you need to be at home nonetheless to receive the letter of advice that contains a code. So no chance for me, if it takes too long now.

edit; 1 Ti on original order and then I added 3 SS about a week or so before they announced the end to the add-ons that didn't change ship date.

It probably will be another month or thereabouts before it arrives though.

So if they're sending out confirmations for purchases from the "very end of August" just a couple of weeks after sending out confirms for July orders, I guess August '15 was another really light month for orders. Perhaps if September was as well we will see those orders get filled by mid-August 2016. Then we're into Q4 2015. My sense is that orders did pick up at the end of 2015. Can anyone else confirm that?

Aug 2nd here for a plain ti still haven't gotten my address confirm. seems like theres still some out there that might be shipped.

November 2015 the invoice/order numbers were in the 24,000 range. In June 2016, 8 months later, the numbers were in the 27,000 range.

It's hard to know how many of those invoices were hoppers. A lot of them could have just been batteries and accessories, like 2 out of my 3 orders. Also, some invoices might be for multiple hoppers.

Still, I feel that there wasn't much of a bump in hoppers sold during the last holiday season.

In September 2015 they were at 22,000 invoices. So it slowed from 1,000 a month (Sep-Nov) to 375 a month (Nov-June).
