Do most water pipes (*Bubblers) usually come with either a 14mm or 18mm joint? Meaning since the EQ is a standard 18mm I believe, then the EQ hose should essentially fit into any other 18mm joint on the bubbler? Am I correct, or am I missing something? Thanks

The 'hose' doesn't fit directly to the bubbler, it is mated via an adapter of some sort....

In your case it will be the 18mm elbow that comes with the eq....

But you could upgrade that at a later date, to something with better heat and airflow properties....

Oh ok but I did upgrade to the new glass setup. So I don't use the original elbow. Does that make a difference or would I need to purchase a separate glass elbow for the new glass kit? Thanks

Now that I think about it, are you just saying that I need to use the original elbow just to connect the hose to the mouth piece of the water pipe *Bubbler?

I meant the hose onto the bubbler where the bowl sits correct>?

@flman99 you can use the edit button to add to your posts if you miss stuff out....

Rather than making multiple posts in succession.....

How many elbows do you have???

I looked around and all I have right now is a few all glass mini whips and an extra glass cyclone bowl. So what exactly will I need to hookup the hose into a bubbler ? It seems like I just need some kind of elbow adapter along with any bubbler with an 18mm hole correct? This is kind of where I get confused. Thanks for your help.

I understand the hose from the EQ into the Bong but it appears I need some kind of attachment from the mouthpiece of the hose into the water pipe correct? So basically, I have everything ready except whatever attaches to the mouthpiece of the hose into the pipe. *I think.

But also now that I think about it. Is that why everyone is telling me I just need an Elbow adapter and I should be all set. It makes sense now. I should just find a glass elbow adapter that fits on the mouthpiece of the hose and attaches into the hole of the water pipe where the bowl would sit.

Did I just figure it out.. lol :) ???

Now does anyone know of a good place to get a glass elbow that would fit the end of the mouthpiece on the hose??

I went back to ebay after searching the entire internet and you know what. I actually found someone selling Tied bags with the extra glass piece included. I have been looking for ove a year and finally found it. Thanks bro for giving me that extra push to check ebay. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! :)

No problem bro sorry I didn't post the link initially I figured you'd just check it out quick. The pic I posted is of the new all glass setup up from arizer mixed with the @DDave short adapter and 18mm water adapter. The FC187 works reallll nice :brow:.
I don't really use it for bags so I attached the whip to the 10mm male on one end and the 18mm water adapter on the other end. So everything slides in and out is all glass and super easy to handle and clean, I get wicked results this way. Even with the normal whip too. I'll post a pic of just the whip. Does anyone else use there setup like this? I'm curious to know if I'm the only one who does this lol :peace::rockon:

Nice set up :)

I would use that big glass elbow too, if I had one.
I'm sure that would extend the life of the silicone whip.

Did you put the heat-shield on your short adapter? (the black rubber stuff)
What did you use?

Haha yeah dude thanks :) I thought it would too cuz the silicone doesnt smell really. I somehow managed to slip the black heat cover off the old cyclone bowl and I slipped it over ddaves short 18mm adapter :brow: I like the bend in the wand too makes it easier.

Nice work.
I once tried heat shrinking a small adapter. It did not work out well.
I have a cracked cyclone bowl, might have to try and remove and replace its cover.

Though judging by your silicone whip stretching over your glass adapter, you have more patience than me ;)

Honestly it's no problem at all. You just wet the glass tip on the balloon 10mm adapter and the 18mm water adapter and the silicone slides right over
@Justpassedu Hey buddy Do you know anyone who uses a setup like the pics I posted above?

I dont really , i have given the Eq away , it was a great device but once i got my Evo and Volcano they suited all the needs the Eq was giving me and some. Eq still holds a special place in my heart though. When i had mine i was just using a 18mm glass to whip adapter with the silicone tubing so it slid right on my joint . I also do the same with my Evo so i dont have to invert it on my glass. Similar to Atxian's setup posted above. Your setup looks ok though , personally id go with a glass adapter more like ataxians as yours looks easier to break being up like that. I highly recommend something like this - http://www.oregonglassblower.com/18mm-Vape-Adapter-90-Degree-18mv90.htm , been using 1 for 3yrs now , it has dropped a few times and never broke on me , very thick glass and whip ready. I also own that same Mobius , its a nice piece.

Yeah the Mobius hits great. Not sure about that glass 90 degree elbow tho. I avoid using those. The purpose of the wand is to stabilize the vapor coming thru so it's nice and cool once it hits your lungs Cuz I use a very short silicone whip. Maybe something like this would be abit better than the 90 degree.

I'm not a clumsy person either so my setup iv had for abit now and haven't come close to breaking any pieces :)

The water is what is going to cool the vapor. I don't personally see a need for that type of adapter but if you feel it's helping you than I'm all for it. I love my elbow adapters there small and def much easier to rotate while I move the whip around or have people over and I have to pass my piece , I can see that adapter flying out on me , but that's just me and how I use my vapes.

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse you lol I ment that small water adapter I'd use for the whip. I like using the wand for both the whip and the Mobius. Pretty much simulates ddaves mod but with a slight bend making it easier so it moves around and actually stays nice and solid in the adapter. Also keeps the silicone fresher for longer, the glass gets all the resin instead of the silicone

When my EQ was my DD I made up a quick change whip coupling for my DDave kit. Your is a good out of the box solution but DDave kit will shit on it from a great height performance wise.

The black whip covers mean the whip no longer is a magnet for crap to stick to & disguises a dirty looking whip.

I added this so I could switch between a short bong whip & a longer D/D whip

Straight up this is the best shape whip adapter for a bong

Shit on might not be the best choice of words but a straight through path if preferable to a angled connector/adapter. At least IMO anyways.

FWIW I think you could use the 10mm bag adapter as a all glass D/D pathway although it might be a little hot/dry & the angle would be perfect. I made a similar one out of my 14mm DDave kit & it worked very well. I could only see the angles one working better for D/D.

First post. Wanted to thank all that have contributed to this thread. My EQ comes today and I received the shipping info for the @DDave mod yesterday. Read about 30 pages back, so per usual I have to absorb way to much information lol.

Hoping to connect it to a gravlabs piece I have, hopefully! I went with the mini mod, hoping that was the right choice, hindsight I should have gotten the full kit, oh well. Can always order it later.

Have had a Pax 1 for a few years now, its been ok but I never really got into it. Hoping this changes things! Have a few different strains to try, cant wait for the experimenting to begin :)

Sweet photos guys. I need to rejoin the digital revolution and start sharing. The "big ass" silicone tubing that DDave includes just opens everything up. Out of sheer laziness I used one of his included lengths without cutting it and it both works great and allows some additional mobility. Tried it with the MFLB Orbiter (Yes, this is why I need pictures, I know...;)) using the Eq with an 18/14 adapter. So much fun especially with the remote and a little help from the fan. The Pinnacle hydrotube right onto the 18/14 adaptor is just sick with a fresh load. It's kind of the "jello shot" of the vaping world: so smooth and innocent until you take off. Trying to decide between a motorcycle or a sportscar. Probably a new game console is more realistic...

I use the "Q" everyday!
With a @DDave kit it's very nice really!

I broke so much glass even my favorite 18mm female @DDave coupler just broke? (my fault)

Water pipe, GonG, Sherlock, ddave stuff!

Great strain's!
Operator out of control!

However I'm so CIVILIZED! (really)?

CuckFumbustion

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
I use my EQ every day. Plugged in 24/7....

And the fan in it finally died. took it apart and blasted it with an air can. Very few particles and one long stem. Not sure if that was the culprit or fan bearings. Probably the fan.
Put it all back together. The display and everything else still functions. So I presume it is a fan-only prob. Was just starting to get into bags again too. :ugh:

I still think a new EQ would be a solid choice for me. Can't think of an all around vape for the $ that has a fan, a remote and a digital display.
Once I have money or if my EQ completely dies I might go with Aromatek.

Condensation in the wand is how @CuckFumbustion knows it's time to rip.
Thanks for actually reminding me. :D Was trying to work out a prob with the new EQ setup and that solved it.

BTW. Bag-fillers, I get my Vapebags from Puffitup.com. Best US price and fast shipping and an FC member.
:peace:
