THC Distillate, if i'm not vaporizing it, does it still need to be decarbed?

@Accept yah i'm stuck between making shatter and dissolving it in some ejuice rather then a vg batch.. not sure

if i'm making Vg/PG in my magical butter, is there any reason to decarb the dry herb??? because of vaping i would think not.
