you can definitely burn oil, but youd need to dab a red hot Ti immediately, or use a direct flame. There is a slight learning curve to finding the optimal temp to dab Ti, but its pretty easy to get the hang of

fresher buds will produce a lighter color oil, that is more heady in effect, and not as powerful as from cured buds. your yield will also be much lower, but you should get some amazing oil that should practically purge itself!

the only reason i do not freeze the ISO, is because it greatly reduces the purge time. IMO freezing the buds is plenty enough to make the trichomes brittle for a more optimal extraction.

i agree with Weedemon, the TI nail or pad, or quartz or glass nails/paddles are the most effective for home use. for on the go, one of the portables such as the omicron or thermovape would be a good choice

isopropyl begins to boil at 181F, so i'd say 190 would be a safe bet. i would double boil until there is no liquid left in the pyrex, then pop it in the oven for 10-15 minutes depending on how big of a batch you make. this step is more to ensure there is no alcohol rather than decarbing, IMO...
