I use a very similar set-up and the GonG connection holds firmly enough to move the pipe around and then some, you really control it based on how forcefully you lock it in place. I try to be careful not to put any stress on the heater cover when locking it in place and I still get a solid hold.

I believe my comment to be more on the 'politely concerned customer' side than the 'savage' side. What makes this reasonable deduction any more viable than the thought that possibly our (late) pre-orders were lost in the chaos that VXH has been through in 2012? It is certainly a possibility...

I haven't had any communication with them except the automated email from the pre-order.

I really hope this isn't true. I hope this is a technical error and that they will finish up the pre-order list before using up their resources manufacturing devices for the general public.

As a 12/7/11 pre-order I would guess that I'm in the bottom 10% in terms of where I stand in line. SM55 or any other VXC crew, could you possibly give a rough estimate of how far through the pre-orders you've gotten at this point?

I don't like spending more than I have to but *if* it performs well many of us would be willing pay for the discretion factor. My solo is decently discrete but this thing looks like an iPod
