With the XP and previous versions, swapping out the battery was not an option -- not practically anyhow. It didn't seem to matter much. Definitely didn't matter to me. I carried a $20, 10000 mAh USB battery pack to charge it while on long trips if necessary, but never ended up needing it, cuz...

Question about the charging time issue -- is this a new issue with the 05? Because with my (several) XPs, charge time seemed normal and good. Are people taking into account variations in charger output? Older cellphone chargers were around 500 mA. Newer are from 1000 to 2100 for the higher end...
