OK. Assuming you downloaded both, you need to run the installer and select the update file. If they both come zipped you need to extract them from their compressed state (unzip). The questions you needed to find out and I don't have the knowledge to answer are: is your Mac unzipper compatible...

You were able to unzip the file with 7zip and extract the contents? Once you do that when you run the firmware update program it will ask for the file. Browse for where you extracted it and you should be good from there.

I'm using a gen3 at 41 watts. There is likely some variance in resistance from Splinter to Splinter. That is at least my baseless guess.

I've asked FJ about gen 3 support as there is a branch of myevic that supports that mod (which is a great mod). FJ said he will work on integrating support for gen 3 in future firmware released.

I'd have to say this is normal behavior for single cell evic dual configuration on my TUBOx. I would suggest taking a bit more time between rips, and using the warm-up to cruise mode to get started. It's all about how much heat is generated to get through your bowl.

You're welcome. I know this has worked for others here. Feathering the button on demand helps, as does enabling eco mode for cruise.
