There must be a few! @alex91, once the switch is pushed up, you need to use the flint wheel.

Same here. It pained me every time I'd see reddit users telling newbies that the difference between the 17M and Ti-tipped models was negligible and that a fat mouthpiece + 17M would be as good as a NonaVonG. Now, I would agree that the 18M SS tip is on par with the Gen 5 Ti. All that I'm missing...

The new SS tip is awesome. It lacks Omni compatibility, but it is more or less as good as the Gen 5 Ti tip. Having both will provide you with a great experience. :sherlock:

I too was compelled earlier today to assemble a "Super M" :freak: My most recently acquired Stash, a beautiful bocote G2, is at the upper left. Happy ascents, Dynafriends

Good to hear! I suspect that might be because you are using a Woody ? The additional mass of an M is quite significant. Especially once a person owns a few caps, wooden VapCap parts are what need the most caution and care, IMO. No significant wood damage to report either, I hope ? :goon: Cheers!

The cap is definitely the weakest point of a metal VapCap and should be handled carefully. I've made little dents in a couple of my caps when I was a Dynavap newbie, but never to the point where it couldn't stay upright on a Dynastash (though even the slightest deformity to the flat disc will...

Not really, but you can restore most or all of its original shine with a quick toothpaste+toothbrush scrubbing. Thoroughly rinse all the toothpaste out of the tip afterwards. Tip from George in a DynaVap Live a few weeks ago ! :science:

You can keep the narrow section of the tip clean of goop by using an XL condenser in a standard size VapCap. This makes the condenser much more viable as a CCD tool IMO. @Newcastle, I too am incredibly hesitant to use caps to push out condensers. A nice round wooden choptick-style tool would be...

I had an inkling about the airflow of SS vs Ti CCDs, but it was only confirmed by George a couple of Dynavap Live broadcasts ago; the SS has better "filtration" while the Ti has faster airflow (and therefore cooldown). This morning I tested each screen type in the 2018 M with blocked airport...

Anyone who wants to increase airflow on the 2018 M should probably switch the SS CCD for a titanium one. The SS screen is a noticeable limiter. Again, it works well either way. :borg:

    Dynavap VapCap

The 2018 M tip does not completely block airflow from the stem's "carb" hole when an XL condenser is inserted, but it does significantly reduce it, like an extended Omni condenser. I find that most VapCap configurations work great with pretty much any airport usage, be it blocked, open, or...

    Dynavap VapCap

Because of the quicker cooldown on the 2018 M with this new lighter SS tip, I can whole-heartedly endorse using the o-ring trick to block the airport. (@Few Minute Programming) The stem may still get hot sometimes, but some blowing or drawing can cool it quite fast. Overall I prefer the...

Some of us like the smooth chamber. Also, as @almost there pointed out, the M is supposed to be the "budget option"; I'm sure they want to keep a certain amount of distinction/incentive for people to invest $$$ in a Titanium-tipped model. I'm happy to say that I received the 2018 M yesterday...

It was with the 20% discount on a maintenance kit (10 to 8 USD). Full price (50 USD) for the Stash, but the free shipping (normally $13) was nice enough. The last few days here in Quebec have been bright and clear but pretty bloody cold.
