I'm always SUPER careful with my stuff. I won't even let other people handle my stuff, and especially my MFLB products. If you just take good care of it, it shouldn't break. And take precautions beforehand, i.e. don't hold it over cement or tile vs. carpeting, store in a very secure place...

Write them yourself first so that you have an email stating the same thing that they addressed to you personally. That way, if it becomes an issue in the future, you can prove that they made that agreement with you in writing (email is the same as writing in USA Civil Courts by the way)...
