I just got my upgraded teflon unit from sticks&stones but it smells of a burning plastic smell that I never had before. Is it supposed to be like this?

If you look at a disassembled minivap their is a silicon tube connecting the heater to the screen at the very bottom. If yours is loose then it will let air pass threw the buttons, but their is also a screen at the bottom of the heater so it's really not a big deal.

I bought it directly from Hermes about 1.5 years ago. It fails to reach temperature, the temp light just keeps blinking no matter the setting. I already sent a ticket using their website so we'll see how long it takes.

Looks my mini's heater has stopped working :( Anyone know the best way to contact them as I heard it can take a month or more for them to even reply.

Use a magic eraser (Melamine foam) instead unless you want all those metal shavings everywhere.

It goes under the the big ring and screen in the chamber so big ring -> screen -> small ring -> screen.

I got it just had to really push it in. The paint is kind of a bummer but don't think it's worth the hassle of sending it back.

I just got my minivap, I think it might be one of the new ones as the serial ends in 001. But one thing I noticed is that the logo and other painted text are jagged and faded unlike the one on that's on the dock. Also the plug seems to fall out of the dock a lot, is it supposed to go in further...

Long time lurker of this thread. I finally got my pax but it came with a few small scratches :( anyone else have this happen? Also made some crackling when first turned on (with an empty oven) but seems to only be a one time thing.
