My first thought was more along the lines of the Star Trek logo... But for what its worth the circuit board is laid out very beautifully. It's obvious lots of thought went not only into how this functions but how everything looks as well. Hopefully some day I'll get to actually try one ;)

I would not recommend doing that - do you know what chemicals you'll be vaporizing? I can't imagine it being safe. Might not notice any ill-effects now but long term who knows, just spend the $30 and get a new set. Be Safe!!
