Got mine 2 days ago. Charged up batt. Max temp with timeout, 4 times (complete cool down between each). Swabbed with alcohol in between burn offs.... Completely got rid of any manufacturing odors.:) As everyone else is saying, This thing is awesome. Nuff said.:science::leaf:

Sounds like it cools a lot before starting to recover (4 draws ?) Do you think this is in line with Solo I and Air ? Does it recover in that 4th draw then? (bigger heater) If so, must just be the thermostat?

Looks like I will have to make a new caddy with a place for the Solo II. Not enough room on the old one. :doh: My old one currently holds Solo I, Air, Hydrotube, 2 stems, stir tool, timer and a silicon ring to slip on a loaded prehit stem to prevent spilling as you stir before next...

Just signed up. Here is my 2 penny input. I find that if I draw really hard for a few seconds after inserting stem in unit that is up to temp, and then go to normal draw, Wham Bam! Shortens the wait time. Seems like convection is at work here. I still think it is a hybrid though. Love this...
