That sounds like an internal heater problem, probably a bad thermistor circuit. That is a warranty item.

Be careful with that, I am sure the people at Acer built in protection to their USB, but the Pinancle will try to draw up to 3A of current when charging, and USB devices like that will only support 500mA. It is possible to burn up the USB controller on the Acer, would hate for that to happen :tup:
