Vaporbrothers Dabbler & Eleven Pen

Thanks for the very informative response. Correct i do rotate the pen around as i pulse the button a few seconds at a time. Click, pull, rotate, repeat until i get a big massive rip. I like the skinny mouthpiece over the larger ceramic core mouthpiece. I bought both but broke the ceramic. Most likely user error poking around too hard. But that original fiber wick has been my workhorse. The quality of my concentrate varies unfortunately. Also have an Eleven pen version 1 but it got gunked up by poor product. Im in the high dez of Socal if anyone has a rec for good value concentrate.

If i understand correct the glass globe heater bought from vapor warehouse will be the Ti wire but in the future if i buy a replacement ceramic core globe nail it will be the newer Ti-Ni that comes with the mini viper?

Excited to try the glass globe nail thing it should be in the mail tonight with the crazy fast shipping from vape warehouse. Is there a voltage range you would recommend? I enjoy testing products of all types just for personal satisfaction and a curious mind. Built a rig to measure amp draw of the different e-cig based vapes i bought. Not that amp draw will reflect performance. Its just a desire to test and measure things. If you ever need someone to test and record data let me know. Not looking for freebies. Will buy it, use it, and send over data i record over time.

Hi, forgot to mention, the OG Dabbler still exists in a small quantity at vaporwarehouse and vb. I believe the Dabbler Heater only exists in this form. You can search Vaporwarehouse or talk to them to get the Inconel heater again.

Glass globe is the Ti-Ni wire like the rest. I'll update the site to be clearer on that.

Recommended voltage range is kind of forgotten now. We used to care about it a lot, but now we just crank a twist to max if we want to speed up. We've been testing many of these 3 settings batteries lately and find their voltage doesn't really change at all. Dabbler's microcircuit tried to control the temperature, but ended up being too cool for people and got adjusted in the 2nd year of production.

So now it seems the temperature of the coil most depends on how much oil is touching it. (and you can pulse the button of course) A giant dab may need max voltage to be warm at all. On the other hand, you may need to back off a tiny dab to not overheat it. You probably are very aware of all that- I'm just downloading info here for anybody else who reads it. It would be awesome if you sent feedback, for sure. I'll let you know if/when we have info we need to know. Testing voltage is complicated, but you can get close if you use the AC+DC setting on the meter. If you have an oscilloscope you'll see PWM happening part of the time. The more resistance you add to the system by taking it apart and installing lead wires, the more the microcircuit will act differently.

Havnt had the greatest luck with the glass globes. Been treating it like a baby until today, had the pen in the same pocket as my keys. Broke and i didnt even feel it. What a bummer man. Now im using my mouth as the globe. Anyone have tricks to reinforce the glass? Maybe wrap in tape? I dont care about seeing the vapor, i dont even look. Not sure why i bought the glass. I thought the skillet was better.

What are people liking these days? Any new pens to check out? Im doing the concentrates because normal weed smells too much and the kids have gotten older.

hey yall.

i dont have too much experience with pen style vapes. im only experienced with mflb and the vaporbros box style vape.

i usually medicate with the above devices vaping flowers. but was looking into a pen style vape that would work good with scissor hash or dry sift. the material i desire to vape is usually pretty "melty" , but as it isnt really processed at all, is probably full of impurities that i doubt would vaporize homogeneously.

in your opinion(s), would the Eleven pen be a good choice for the material i desire to vape?

if it's not full melt, your wick will clog up super quick

I have a large collection of vape pens. (stupid I know)

Cheap ones and well made ones.

$10 vape pens are worthless after a couple of sessions.
The high priced ones seem to last longer.

When a pen breaks and you have it loaded with SHATTER it hurts!

Excuse me while I hit some SHATTER! (with a decent unit)

That's so small of a collection?

@Vitolo your'e the best!

I have boxes of pens everywhere!
It's stupid really.
However it was fun understanding what I like and dislike?

I'm addicted to SHATTER again!

I need another bag of Cannabis.
Dam prices keep dropping!

Forgot to mention here- We came out with new heaters for VB Eleven. They work with our current battery.

vb11-skillet-cartridge-dual-ceramic-500.jpg

Dual core ceramic
  • Heats up in a couple seconds - We reused the same low-mass hollow ceramic as in our single cores
  • Ti-Ni alloy way more inert and long lasting than pure Ti. Chromium-free as before.
  • Deeper bowl for loading larger amounts
  • New thread easier to line up
  • Heater runs through wax way faster (but for a good reason... you get more concentrated hits)
  • DOES NOT require a fancy multi voltage battery. we made it work fine on our current battery
  • does not overdrive it's battery (a dual should not be run off a 350mAh battery unless you want limited lifetime)
  • Same hole drilled in the cone opens up the airflow

We chose against dual quartz for a few reasons
  • slick quartz surface doesn't wick oil - heater tends to be starved of oil
  • solid quartz cores take FOREVER to heat. more than 1 10sec button push in my experience.

BUT we did release a Single core quartz for quartz lovers
  • The single core means it heats up fast using our normal battery
  • better efficiency of a single core. battery lives longer
  • Deeper bowl, new threads and hole in cone same as the new Dual
  • Glass bowl - looks nice

We sell these items as 3 parts skillet cartridges for now since the threads are new. If you need heaters alone and we don't have them up yet, let me know and I'll arrange. :)

Edit: Dabbler still exists in a small quantity. The price is radically lower to help the last ones get sold. It's still the only Inconel wire vape pen out there. The wick is glass fibers (not fiberglass...) which honestly does the best job at keeping the coil well supplied with oil. This pen is really hard to burn out or run dry.

This all sounds VERY exciting!
I can hardly wait.
The bowl around those coils looks ample and easy aim for a wad of wax!

Hey - question from a dummy here. I love my VB11 and use it with wax all the time, though the quality and texture at my local shop can be a little inconsistent. The other day I used a friend's pen (different make and model) with a pre-filled liquid mouthpiece that he bought separately and was just able to screw on the top of his own device. Does the VB11 fit other manufacturers' pre-loaded capsules, and if so, if there some specification or size I should look for when purchasing?

Thanks - hope that makes sense.

Just wondering about opinions on how well the vb11 dual hollow ceramic atty works with runnier co2 type oils?

Yes, prefills fit our batteries since (if..) they are "510 thread."

Hiya good people! Shit's fucked up! The FDA is seizing vape pen shipments. What we have on our site is what we have for a while. They haven't taken anything of ours yet, but they've promised our supplier that they will start considering VB Eleven (and ALL accessories) to be "nicotine delivery systems." How's that nicotine wax working for y'all?

Hi folks,

It's time to replace my VB11 heater. It's the only pen I've used, I purchased it a couple years ago and put about 5g through it. It uses the chrome single coil ceramic and titanium heater. This is where I'd like your advice on my options.

1. Buy 5 replacement single coil chrome ceramic skillets ($55)
2. Buy mini viper for home use + 5 replacements for both ($119)
3. Buy newer style quartz cartridge + 5 quartz replacements ($75)
4. Buy newer style dual coil ceramic cartridge + 5 dual coil replacements ($75)

I'm also considering a whole new pen like the Dr. Dabber Auora, Kandy Donut or VB Dabbler because after shipping and Canadian exchange rate this is hurting the pocket! If I can buy a new vaporizer for a similar cost I should consider it an option.

Thanks everyone!

So being on a budget I ordered 2 replacement heaters which will make the Eleven pen work like new for about $25 (US). Then I ordered a new whip for both the VB & SSV. I haven't used any of these vaporizers for a long time, I'm very excited for all three!

Next on my radar is the Aurora pen, but I don't think it will phase out the VB Eleven.

While enjoying my VB11 with one of the fresh coils, the power button gave out and became stuck inside the casing. Now I have 4.5 new coils and no pen.. bit of a bummer.

Maybe it's time to move on?

I've used a lot of pens. Just get a box mod and use the attys with the mod.

The Aurora isn't worth 30+ dollars (besides coming with many different coils), I suggest a Yocan Evolve if you don't want a better design.

But honestly, I think Yocan NYX + Box Mod is the best setup. I personally own more than just the NYX right now but in terms of ease of use and consistency those two have been the most satisfying.

Thanks for your input. The Yocan NYX looks like a great option, and it's super cheap at $25 (in Canada). I really can't believe the price. I watched some videos on it and think I'll try it. I have a Joytech Mini Cuboid on the way so it's good timing.

Are you able to screw a 510 threaded oil cartridge onto the end of the VB11 if you remove the standard mouth piece and coil?

Yes for sure you can do that. The appearance is a little crude but the battery lasts longer than smaller slim ones of course.

Hello. I just got my Eleven. I have a problem not getting smoke, and the ash residue. I put it on the heater coil like I saw in the video(
). Most seem to smoke or sink down. I then tried putting it only on the sides away from coils. seems to sink down. Smells like 50% vapor. Any tips, please, all hits taste like smoke somewhat now :( Also I had vaped this same extract with my VB1 original on a mini glass tube, and had no problems. It vapes clean on VB1

Please, guys, I've used vaporborhters for over 12 years now, and vb1 was great. but simply by following the instructions, I only get smoke mixed with vapor..... So far this is a completely wasted 50$ on top of the medicine that has been wasted

The VB Dabbler and 11 are not for herbal use
They are strictly for "full melt" concentrates (wax, BHO, Shatter etc.)
EDIT:
sorry... I did not read this-
Also I had vaped this same extract
EDIT AGAIN:
I recommend you take a small amount of whatever you are "burning" in the VB 11, and put it on a piece of foil, and apply heat gently with a lighter.
Your concentrate/extract should melt into a golden little puddle, and then vanish completely, with no trace other than a golden flat spot on the foil.
If your medication does not do this, then you are using something that has residues or contaminants of some sort.
You spoke of the VB1
It is for use with herbal matter (flower)... although I have wrapped cotton around a small piece of wax, and vaped it through my VB1 mini wand.
VB1 is for flower
VB Eleven and Dabbler are for full melt concentrates.

Yes it should be apparent I knew what kind of vaporizer I had after 12 years(not to mention the months I spent researching before i bought it, detailed in the original post)

Only thing I said about vb1 is that when i combine the bho extract with dry, it vapes cleanly in vb1.

Also when I use my friends extremely cheap 10 dollar vape pen, it vapes the SAME extracts cleanly, no smoke either.

As I said, I followed the directions, it was simply disappointing that every video I watched gets the extract put directly onto the coils. Seems you cannot avoid having some smoke when you use the vb11.
