Prefilled Carts for Noobs

So what batteries do you all prefer for carts? I had been using a dr dabber battery before upping to a variable voltage, but now i find i like buttonless batteries the most for carts- like from the blu ecigs.

The worst cart I've ever used and tasted was a Spliffin.

I've tried the o-pen vape carts and automatic batteries. The flavor was outstanding, I assume they added in terps because even the best grown flowers didn't have as many terps as the carts did. I've tried the 250mg carts and the o-pen reserve carts. Those are seriously strong, 420mg in about 1.5ml

My biggest problem with them is leaking when changing elevations. Otherwise the potency was great at the time. I never really found a good way to refill the carts, which is what led me to the open system. The automatic battery was nice, no button to push, just inhale =)

In general how many quality hits should I expect from a 500ml or half gram cartridge?

Can you remove the cartridge after it has been screwed on without leakage?

If it sits in my car too long and gets hot is this a problem?

Anyone ever travelled via airplane with one of these? Kinda looks like tobacco cartridge which I know is legal to fly with...

Anything helps! This place helps avoid the purgatory that is..trial and error...thanks!!

I've taken o.pen-style carts to Mexico hidden in a deck of cards. Worked great and no leaks. I put it in checked luggage. I carried the ego-style battery in my carry-on computer bag. Pictured, extra screens for e-nano, which I also took with me.

It depends on how much of the carrier is in there. If it's 1.5ml, I'd say you should get at least a good 50 10 second puffs using a battery with optimal charge. Yes you can remove the cartridge, though in regards to leakage, keeping these carts in excessive heat is not really a good idea. It will cause the liquid to be less viscous which can help it drain out of the air holes if it gets too thin.

There is a topic regarding vapes on planes

Would that be safer than just carrying it as if there's nothing wrong? I would assume if they see something like that in the x-ray it'd be reason for immediate red flags. I heard vaping is illegal in Mexico too.

You are right that, with scrutiny, this would be found. I'm banking on plane loads of vacationers arriving at the same time. I'm a retired, white senior citizen who brings two huge 50 lb. bags of checked luggage filled with foodstuffs and assorted vacation paraphernalia for my timeshare. I've never seen them xray individual items, just whole luggage. I've seen dogs at customs in the airport in Cabo, but talking to the handlers, (I mangle Spanish real good), they are not looking for bombs or drugs; they are looking for illegal food items.

Next year, based on my experience, I will bring a 10 ml bottle of solution and, say, an Aspire K-1 with a few extra coils. I stay 5 weeks.

Ultimately, you have to decide if it's worth the risk. I may rue the day should I be discovered. To me, it seems a safe risk. Doesn't mean it is risk-free.

I've been staying away from prefilled but recently picked up this cartridge. It was $30 for a half gram and it's called the Loud Pack 710 King Pen. I picked the Skywalker OG strain.

This is actually one of the best prefilled cartridges I've had to date in both taste and effect. It also has a metal mouthpiece and unique coil design relative to all other prefilled carts I've seen. I don't know what the coil is composed of but I've sent an email to Loud Pack to find out - hopefully they respond. So far, no leaking or wicking issues.

As for batteries, I usually use the cheap buttonless batteries for SUPER stealth mode, or just crank it on my box mod and turn the wattage all the way down until the voltage reads about 3.2V.

In the past, my favorites have been Absolute Extracts (particularly their OG Kush strain), Heavy Hitters, PureGold and Jetty.

I also like the absolute carts, they got me through a recent trip to Mexico.

I know this thread is for pre-filled carts... but are there any good reusable carts for co2 oil?

I've been looking for the same thing. I haven't found one yet but I have found a few interesting things. One is this cart http://o2vape.com/product-category/glass-cartridges/ which looks a lot like the one posted above by @waxdab23 I was thinking about trying them but was unsure as to what size hole I need.
Also, a local dispensary sells carts that are refillable but I haven't stopped in to talk to see for myself yet. Other carts that I've tried can be refilled a couple of times.

I've tried four different types now and what I am finding is that quality control is pretty poor in general. I've had a cart leak out completely, another has a plastic/chemical taste to it, and another one came apart easily and would leak if I wasn't super careful.

All that said, I like the idea of them and the convenience paired with the stealth factor makes them very appealing.

will definitely check out the heavy hitters and absolutextracts (sp?) when i get there next month.

That cart looks exactly like a cart I can get called Fire Tanks. It is awesome. Also, it's very thick the liquid inside it. Not liquidy like the other carts I have. I have a cart from the same brand that says nugrun indica on it and that is more clear, with regular co2 design. But the regular firetanks carts are the metal tip with coil design you mention.

Has anyone tried the Openvape Craft Reserve? It looks as if those carts have an updated wicking system. The claim they are also glass and metal construction. If you guys could recommend some good, quality made carts (sold in Colorado) I'd love to hear about them.

That actually looks pretty legit. I've had SC Labs before and it was decent but this looks vastly improved in both cartridge design and potency. Solvent free too, so it must be from a rosin?

How does it taste? I'll have to hunt these down.

Edit: I was thinking of Brite Labs actually. What you have was just tested by SC Labs. Who makes it though?

My new best friend

I have next to no experience with vape pens. I recently bought a KandyPens Gravity, which I like, but I am wondering if I might have been better off with a vape cart pen. This inspires two questions:

1. Given that the Gravity is 510 threaded, can I use one of these carts with it?

And

2. If not, what do I need to look for in a pen that will accept vape carts? Any recommendations for a good one?

Thank You! :)

You are able to screw carts int any batts with a 510 thread.

I've used many different pen batteries, but my favorite for flavor are buttonless and small like the ones from blu.

Really enjoyed the flavrx sour d...

I've recently been able to get my hands on some of these carts where I am, and I have to agree that they are very convenient. The taste is phenomenal, ( gorilla glue ) and the effect is definitely there, just don't expect to ever get a good, lightheaded hit from the thing, but for what it is it works great. My only gripe is the end user cost for me, at 60$ an atty, it isn't very appealing to my pocket book lol.

I'm gonna dissect one of them later and post up pics of the coil and wick material, so people can see and discuss the innards.

The thickness of the fluid is interesting, I would like to know how they achieve that viscosity without pg or vg, at least do I've been told, and yet still maintain such great flavor. I've tried girl scout cookies, gorilla glue, and something else I can't remember, but each one has it's own distinct flavor intact, I'd like to know how they accomplished that.

FYI these are the "absolute extracts" version I'm referencing. But they are all probably made in the same Chinese factory, then filled with product here by separate stores.

Most terpenes act as solvents, so usually that's how they thin and get high terp #s...A few drops of Limonene in a tank of thick juice will get it almost watery and taste like Sunny D lol

I've also found the little pre-filled to be a bit weak, so I didi a little research..

Well I was told that's what they used but wouldn't that alter the flavor? Lemon has a very distinct taste and odor
