Thank you very much! The one thing I noticed is my heater cover doesn't snap onto the bowl, so I hold it on. Should I order a new one or do you think I am doing something wrong?

VapeKnight is perfectly correct. It's one of the minor flaws. I've corrected this by slightly tilting the machine base and pushing the goose neck down a bit so that gravity ensures the bulb cover rests snugly on top of the herb holder. It works perfectly after the bulb cover expands due to heat. Let me know if I didn't explain that sufficiently. (Sometimes what I say makes sense to only me!) :hmm:

many users don't " click" the bulb housing onto the glass herb holder. instead they pre bend the goose neck to the appropriate height/angle alignment then allow the unit to heat up and expand. then they simply lift the Aromed unit lowering it onto the glass easily. not clicking onto the glass does not seem to alter its performance IMO

The Volcano's heating block is below the bowl and not touching the herbs.

I would lay this claim to the Herbalizer, but I can't say definitively until I receive my Aromed soon!

I have never used the herbie but the aromed is amazing, I hope you got a recreational herb holder sticks!

Hey guys, I bought this vaporizer in April of last year and wanted to take my time and try everything before posting. At first I was thoroughly disappointed, having used the extreme q for years chasing huge clouds, but over time I began to appreciate the Aromed more and more. I now love this vaporizer and truly appreciate its design. From my experience their is only a "click" when the herb holder is connected to the heating element at room temperature. If you pre-heat your Aromed, it slides on smoothly with no click. It took some time to figure this out, as I thought the click was responsible for a complete seal. I've learned that in order to fit the bulb snugly into the herb holder I must press the bulb into the herb holder with one hand and adjust the metal neck of the vaporizer with the other hand, either pulling it backwards or forewords. When this is done right the bulb will remain firmly in place with a proper seal. I will make a video of this to better demonstrate my point. Also, I've noticed a lot of people are modifying their Aromed to allow the herbs to be closer to the heating element, which gives much bigger draws, often with very little material. I have tried a few different mods to this effect and while they are effective, I personally feel there are other vaporizers I prefer to use when cloud chasing. It took me the better part of a year to really understand my Aromed and get the best results from it, but now I truly feel this vaporizer is special. For me it is the king of low temperature vapor, with effects that can be similar to oral ingestion. I use my Aromed unmodified, with approximately 0.2 - 0.5 grams of material, and I must say the results are very enjoyable. I think one thing that throws a lot of people off is the fact that the Aromed needs to be "primed" before vapor is achieved. By this I mean that the first 3 or 4 draws are always going to be underwhelming, while the material is fully heated. After these initial draws, the vapor starts being produced and depending on your selected temperature, it is possible to achieve the smoothest most flavourful vapor, to the most lung busting clouds, and everything in between. It must be said that if you stop taking draws, you can certainly enjoy the rest of your bowl later on, but each time you pause for more than a minute or two you will need to "prime" the load again with a few draws. I purchased a "buddy's vacuum sealer" from a friend so that I can prime my Aromed with ease, and I must say the results are amazing. To my knowledge they do not sell these anymore, but essentially it is a handheld vacuum pump which costs $30 and is capable of hitting the Aromed for me, until the vapor production is to my liking, at which point I take over. I continue to take draw after draw in quick succession as I feel this is how I get the best results from the Aromed. Theoretically this vaporizer functions similarily to a forced air vaporizer in the way it produces vapor, although it uses your draw instead of a fan. It is important to understand that this vaporizer functions quite differently than a vaporizer with a ceramic heating element. Another thing that has significantly improved my experience with the Aromed is using a volcano vaporizer screen in the herb holder instead of the stock Aromed screens. The reason this works so much better is that it is a larger screen, and when you finally get it in place you will notice it is slightly domed, with the herb staying in place much better. I found that with the original screen the herb was displaced quite easily, and the volcano screen definitely fixes this for me. The last thing I've done to improve my experience with the Aromed is use a bent neck hydratube (purchased from Steven off dhgate, $38 U.S.) as a mouthpiece. I cut a small piece of silicone tubing to attach an 18mm adapter to the glass water filter, where the tubing would normally be attached. This allows my hydratube to be used dry as a mouthpiece, which creates an all glass vapor path and improves flavour, but more significantly adds a tiny bit of draw resistance which in my opinion perfects the function of the Aromed. I will be posting a few videos over the next week or so of the mods I use, and will include a session video to show the results I've been getting. I hope this helps you guys as much as it's helped me, and if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!

I'm not caught up with this thread yet, so hopefully I'm not repeating something someone else has said.

I find it much easier to use the Aromed by setting the water filter and herb holder to the left of the Aromed body, instead of securing it to the back. That way I never have to mess with the gooseneck, or worry about the click, or worry about stupidly breaking something. Instead I just grab the gooseneck, lift it, then easily set it back down into the herb holder after loading. Once I ease the lightbulb down into position within the herb holder, it's in place. Absolutely no work involved.

I think this video may demonstrate pretty well what I'm talking about:

Also, I've noticed a lot of people are modifying their Aromed to allow the herbs to be closer to the heating element, which gives much bigger draws, often with very little material. I have tried a few different mods to this effect and while they are effective, I personally feel there are other vaporizers I prefer to use when cloud chasing.

I didn't do that to chase clouds. The clouds you see in my videos are completely a byproduct. From my experience using my dough riser mod, I think I have come to believe bigger clouds indicate higher-temperature, more-potent hits; at least when using small loads like I do. For the same reason you get bigger clouds with huge loads, except without having to use a huge load. Which is very efficient. The reason why I did that was so I could get a small amount of herbs to a much hotter temperature zone. Which is exactly what happened.

Also with my dough riser mod, I don't have to wait three or four hits to get results. Which is very evident in at least one of the two Aromed videos I've made. I get results on the first hit. Good results.

I agree with everything you mentioned. The reason I use my Aromed the way I do is because I use other vapes to get the more potent hits you describe. When used without modification I feel the Aromed delivers different results, which take about 15 minutes to really kick in, versus gratification on a draw per draw basis. If I didn't have other vaporizers I would be baking myself a dough riser or otherwise modifying the herb holder to allow the herbs to be closer to the heat source. Currently I cycle through a few different vapes, so when I use the Aromed it is for a unique set of results which don't fully take effect until after my session is over. I plan to post a few videos to further clarify. Certainly it isn't always convenient to have to prime the bowl, but since I got my buddies vacuum sealer it has been much more enjoyable. I'd love to show you in person but unfortunately that isn't possible as I'm in Canada.

I had a great session with my Aromed recently. I love when I get a chance to use this vape. I've been trying to rotate my vapes and strains because I'm no longer noticing the full effects, and even though I only micro dose at night I think I need to take a T break. hopefully a few days will restore some potency

Hello world !

It's been almost 3 years now since I have my red hearth monitor, and I really love it !
The look is strange, but the vapor is incredibly cool and tastefull, the lower temp hit are not that dense but very tastefull, but if you go past 200° you enter in the world of the caughing hits by how dense and wastefull theses clouds are!
You don't need much material, to enjoy a wonderfull session, just to barely cover the screen and you're good for a punch in the face, or put some more and bring some friends and go to the moon !

An Aromed Session is always something magic, that takes time and procedure in order to enjoy it properly, but if done right, the Aromed can send you to the sky, and you will be surpised by these huge hit that you can pull if you're not carefull :science:

On the downside range, an Aromed's session takes time to be properly appreciate (that's not a downside for me, but may be for others...),the tubbing is too short, the original pieces are damn expensive and you HAVE TO put some mineral oil on the glass joint, if you don't wanna be mad !

Somebody have a recreational holder ? It seems the way to go to bring more heat on a small amount...
I'm really surprised that the Aromed isn't more popular out there, maybe the learning curve and the awfull clinical look :sherlock: ?
I have to build a "lamp hat" to make it fashionnable

:peace:

Ya, there is no getting around the fact that the bulb and the base of the bulb, which is plastic, is in the vapor path. If those 3 holes in the cover were not there maybe it would be air tight. I have not found a perfect vape (all glass/steel vapor path) except maybe the Venus?

If your looking for a vaporizer with an all glass vapor path (no ceramic, stainless steal, plastic or anything else) there is only one: the "vriptech heat wand". I haven't had the opportunity to try this one yet, but it is on my list.

Based on your feedback this is one you should check out.

Been a while since I was on the board for the Aromed, it seems to have picked up a little popularity! Can Someone please give me a kind of pro and con breakdown of the recreational herb chamber? I've broken mine and need to order a new one but the recreational intrigues me.

You should get it if the normal chamber is too high (or big) for you. With the recreational chamber you could put less material and heat it quicker because of it's shorter path between the halogen bulb and the material.

The recreational chamber achieve the same results than the normal chamber but with less material (almost half).

For the rest, they are the same :)

Saw this in @Ed's TnT thread & it may ebe a local source for Aromed chambers? No idea on pricing or availability but it would surely be cheaper than purchasing from Europe.

Looky looky, glad you found that and are spreading the word! They will be available for sale very very soon, I am figuring pricing and such now with my supplier now. I can assure you that the creator of these is my guy and has been for years we are working closely as we always have to make these available at the best price and anyone that has done business with me knows I do free shipping worldwide to make a purchase even easier with me. Keep an eye out, great things are coming!

I'm trying to understand the advantage or function of Ed's herb chamber. The recreational chamber is a shorter glass which allows the light bulb to be closer to the herb, but it looks like Ed's is always the same distance from the heat source. what is the purpose ? thanks for any explanation

Hey everybody, I have been a proud and extremely happy owner of the Aromed 4.0 unit for a couple of years now. This was my first VAPE ever after over 10 years of only smoking herbs; it begun as curiosity and I just wouldn't have any other way now in days. I am able to medicate myself without the stink, not to mention ever going bleeding from purchasing paraphernalia in a daily basis. Using the Aromed only has allow my lungs and throat to clear up allowing me to breath a whole lot better. Everything that needs to be said about this vaporizer has been said; some people loves it while some others will hate on it, but there's no denial that the Aromed is top 3 amongst modern desktop vaporizers. The efficiency and the accuracy found on the elements that makes the entire unit makes it worth it's price tag.
I am however having an issue with my unit now, and the site I purchased my Aromed from isn't responding to my request for warranty service. I do not know where to have it service w/out damaging the unit. It is my believe that the thermostat or the chip above the chamber to have burned out. I am not longer able to regulate my temperature and the unit keeps burning everything in the chamber as it seems to be set to its hottest.
Could anybody help me trying to figure out what to do, where could I have my Aromed serviced? since dealer isn't taking responsibility I have to get it repair or come up with another $400++ and use this last one for spare parts ....

I would probably contact the manufacturer. they should at least be able to give you the name of an authorized dealer / repair company in your area

Thank you Knight, I already emailed the manufacturer with a very general inquire, still no response, but I would try again this time asking directly for that list of authorized repair shops. Hopefully I won't have to send it back to Germany shipping fees alone will ended up costing 2/3 of the whole cost of my Aromed.

Good Luck. I've sent them a couple of emails and got no response. I saw a CDN retailer posted a note saying they no longer carried the Aromed, due to support from the manufacturer.

THIS IS DUE TO OVERSEAS MANUFACTURER SUPPORT AND LIMITED DISTRIBUTION"

Well I have some new updates I would like to share with ya'll if you don't mind ... Hopefully you never find yourself in my situation.
My Aromed was purchased back in 2014 using vaporseller.com, it is my understanding they are fairly recently Under different administration and it was a hassle to try to make contact with whom ever was in charge at the time of my purchase. The site has come under heavy fire for the lack of customer support, and well I can see why. After trying for almost a month I finally get an email from the seller indicating that the unit is covered under manufacturer's warranty - 3 years, and that I need to contact "Research&Experience" to obtain any type of service. Luckily I had already done this, and in fact I am being told that my Aromed 4.0 needs to be sent to Germany for services. This approach is most likely to turn my Aromed into the costliest Vaporizer in the market. I've thought of replacing it for another unit, not exactly an Aromed, but the thought of losing my beloved "surgical lamp" brings tears to my eyes.
At this point I have no choice if I want to save this unit: I will send my Aromed back home to be serviced and hope that this Euro-trip doesn't cost my next vacations.
I will update the status of this matter once the unit has been shipped off.

YES DO THIS, YOU WILL SAVE MONEY BY BREAKING LeSS GLASS I swear. It's the easiest and most elegant way, also bestt if you have arthritis etc

LOoks like it has a rubber(?) grip so you can pull it off more safely, I am not sure

Wow I'm so happy the rec became a thing haha, to think they sent me it in 2014 and I hadn't replied until 2016, I told them how much better I felt it was than the regular. So they sold it calling it recreational because it's main use is cannabis, not other plants etc.. that's what they told me

Hi. I need your help, please. It may sound a little silly, but... How do I change the rubber band that fastens the bottle?

OMG the aromed is strong.. Wow. We'll see how the Evo compares I have a feeling they are quite similar.

If anyone owns both chime in please I'd love your input!

It is. Even with a small portion of weed.
